OoC: Are the runes the same rune as the teleportation rune Bernard showed us? If not, Ahriman will once against consult his rune Rolodex to see if he knows what it is, Arcana: 17
Also, not sure if it matters, but through the warlock invocation "Eyes of the Rune Keeper" I can read all writing.
Noticing the charm, Ari says, "Lets take that charm to one of the local shops, see if we can find who might have sold it?"
(The are the same runes, just placed in a circle. It’s not really writing like sentences. It’s transcription of more guttural verbalization, much like a wizards spell in a spellbook.)
Ari: you’re able to verify that it is a teleportation circle to the nine hells, but unable to determine a more precise location.
You saw some shops back further in towards the middle of town.
Pell comes back from following the tracks and shakes his head at Ahramin, "Followed them until I lost them on a well worn path. Lets get back to the others, they will certainly have found some clues!"

amongst other various shops butcher, tailor, bowler, book shop, etc.
As the group makes their way to the shopping district of the town, Luc turns to Ostran. "Sorry my friend, you we were discussing the townspeople's lack of interest in the disappearances, and I left you hanging there." He gives the halfling a sheepish look of apology. "I do agree that there is a decided lack of interest by the townsfolk. I can only surmise that their attitude is from a grave fear that they may be next."
As they reach the shops, Luc suggest to the group "Well, I guess the jewelers would be a logical place to start. 'Linda and Jax' " he reads aloud. "Shall we see if either Linda or Jax are about?"
"Yes, the Jewelers makes sense. The townspeople could also just be resigned to their fate. People getting beaten down by something beyond their ken for long enough and they becomes locked in hopelessness. It's good that we're here."

Pell perks up, "Oooh, Linda and Jax. They sound lovely. I'm sure they will be great friends!" Pell follows Luc inside the shop.
