"To be perfectly honest, while I personally don't pry into the affairs of others, that crying next door is starting to wear me down and annoy me. As for the village, you would probably have to check with the Burgomaster. Barovia in general? Check with that Vistani woman--the fortune teller...Madam Eve or something like that."
“Hmm.. Burgomaster you say? ..That might not be a bad idea. I know it’s another stop gentlemen, but the Burgomaster may be able to provide us with some useful information on this creepy house, which we still know nearly nothing about...”
Zander looks at Necros and raises an eyebrow. Not completely sure what you just said, but I'm assuming you're wondering why I use a bow and not magic? Perhaps it's your accent. I assure you my longbow can outrange most of your spells, and I'm not opposed to using magic. Is the Burgomaster close? if not let's check out the "Crying House" and see what we can glean ourselves.
“Aye, sounds like a plan Zander” Lae nods approvingly.
“Sorry, we cant afford much at the moment sir, but thanks for the info here’s an offering in return,” Lae says as he pulls one of the dessert pies from his satchel and places it on the counter.
“We should head to the Burgomasters and see if he can provide more information on the house, heck maybe he’ll even offer an award for stopping the racket that’s annoying the townsfolk”.
”Sir, one last request and we’ll be on our way.. can you tell us where can we find this Burgomaster you spoke of?”
"Yes. The Burgomaster's place is just down at the south end of this street. I wish you now a good day and good luck." You turn to leave. "And thank you for the pie."
You exit the mercantile and turn left (south). You walk down the street past several abandoned buildings on each side, until the road suddenly ends.
A weary-looking mansion sits behind a rusting iron fence. The iron gates are twisted and torn. The right gate lies cast aside, while the left swings lazily in the wind. The stuttering squeal and clang of the gate repeats with mindless precision. Weeds choke the grounds and press with menace upon the house itself. Yet, against the walls, the growth has been trapped down to create a path all about the domain. Heavy claw markings have stripped the once-beautiful finish of the walls. Great black marks tell of the fires that have assailed the mansion. Not a panel nor shard of glass stands in any window. All the windows are barred with planks, each one marked with stains of evil omen.
“Uhh.. is this the right place Stanimir? Is this the burgomasters abode? It looks rather...disheveled..” Lae remarks as he gazes upon the beaten mansion incredulously.
"Yes, this is the place," Stanimir replies. "Much of this town has not fared well and the Burgomaster's home is no exception. He still lives here, however, last I heard, and it is doubtful Bildrath would have sent you here if it weren't still true."
We're looking for information about Mad Mary, and whatever else you can provide. We're here with Stanimir. We're trying to help with this curse on your land.

" check out the creepy thing they say. It'll br fine they say. But in my experience it is best to smoke them out and let them come to you."

Lae waves over his shoulder as he leaves the merchantile, “Enjoy!”
”Right, he said south, let’s head that way, shall we?”

Well, Let's go in.

“How unfortunate..” Lae murmurs, “right Zander, let’s proceed”.
I approach the door and knock with a firm hand for a halfling.
A female voice calls from behind the door, "Who goes there?"
"You are being greeted by the brothers Smoothhands and friend. We are here to seek the Burgomaster."
"What is your business with the Burgomaster?"
