Cloudfur

Seeing the guards more twitchy still with Gargan and Kanus standing and Jack having wandered off will shout at the two "Come on you two, we can't keep the Blackstaff waiting......"

And he will start to head towards the nearest City Watch station he can find.

 (OOC - I totally quit - the dice roller hates everything I try.....I don't care if they call my bluff I'm already heading to the Watch to report what we found out about the explosion so far)

Kanus Tredicim

Kanus had looked offended for a moment as the Guards had brushed off his friendly conversation, but then watched in disbelief as everything fell apart so offhandedly. He just shook his head, nodded to the guards, "Gents...", and then followed off in the direction that Jack had gone.

Gargan

“Very well, good day to you sir.” Gargan says as he bows politely to the guard briefly before turning and walking rather hurriedly in the direction that the others went.

As soon as he comes upon them he looks at them with a strange expression, one that you are fairly sure is the reptilian equivalent of a frown. “Must you have rushed so? You couldn’t give me a moment longer to try bringing up Renaer’s name at all?” He lets out a long sigh and shakes his head. “Very well, I guess we ought to be contacting our acquaintances in the watch as they requested.”

Cloudfur just shrugs and says "It is all Jack's fault, it was her idea.....does anyone know where the nearest City Watch post is?"

Jack

If Jack is at all close enough to overhear the exchange between Cloudfur and Gargan, she huffs again and picks up the pace to pointedly put herself out of further earshot with the duo. Though knowing at least some were following her course, she tossed aside any ideas of changing form. "Who fookin' tries goes right for the front?! I just.. ugh!" She grumbles under breathe at one point before her words devolve into a series of nonsensical complaints under her breathe. 

If along the way home she spies a known to her owned Harper establishment, she stops by there to blow of some steam with a few drinks and keeping an ear out for recent gossip. 

(Ok so Jack's heading the pub to get lubricated and the rest going to the Watch?)

(OOC: That's what Cloudfur is trying to do - then perhaps loop back to either the Yawning Portal for drinks or back to their manor to discuss what to do next)

(Yeah, off to the watch to get a hold of Barnibus Blastwind I think his name was!)

OOC: Kanus went off in Jack's direction, not sure if he was able to follow her to the pub or not.

(@Mad: While she did pick up the pace, she never outright sprinted away. So it wouldn't be hard to keep to pace/catch-up. Everyone was following her before splintering off into two groups, or so I imagine.)

(OOC - depends - you also said you were ducking in to an alley to change clothes/appearances so that would make you harder to follow - however - I don't think you were headed to a City Watch post so Cloudfur wasn't trying to follow you.)

(@Argent: I amended the disguise in my later post upon realizing at least one person was immediately following behind her, because she no longer trusts people faff that up for her while not in a secure location. On the city watch point, Gargan mentioned catching up with the 'others'. But seeing as Cloudfur apparently immediately veered off whatever direction Jack seemed to go, I'll nix her muttered comment as well.) 

(OOC - oh its fine you can keep muttering to yourself even if I'm not there :P and we can split the party - we're in town how much trouble can we really get in to hehe)

Alright.  So Jack and Kanus head off to the pub (Yawning Portal?) to catch up on some heat.  In the mean time Gargan and Cloudfur head to the Watch outpost looking for Barnibus.  They direct you to the office the Watchful Order of Magists operates out of.  A moderately large building in the North Ward, near the Sword Maiden.

Entering the building you're greeted by a young acolyte, who deposits you in a nearby sitting room and runs off to fetch Barnibus.  After a short wait Barnibus arrives with Seargent Cromley in tow.  "We meet again, friends.  Have you found something new?"

Kanus Tredicim

Kanus took a seat next to Jack, she had seemed upset, he ordered them both a drink. "So, whats the plan boss?"

Cloudfur

"Well met Barnibus, we have witnesses that say a nimblewright was the source of the fireball.  We visited the Temple of Gond where we learned of another nimblewright who had decided to create his own for whatever reason and that it has since escaped.  The temple however gave us a device used to detect constructs which we used to track one to Gralhund Villa.  And since we are good citizens of Waterdeep instead of attempting to procure more information ourselves, my companion and I decided this was better handled by the watch."

(OOC - I think that about sums it up - I'm sure I may have missed something but I didn't go back to re-read the thread - I'm sure Gargan will back me up with anything I forgot hehe)

Nodding sagely as Cloudfur details their investigation Gargan looks pleased as the information is relayed. “Indeed, most curious is it not? I might add one thing to what my friend here has said, the acolytes at the temple made a request of us to return the rogue nimblewright to them if possible or to at least provide them confirmation of its destruction. Whatever action you might take it would be appreciated if you could facilitate us in meeting the request for I feel the events weigh heavily on the temples conscience and it would be right to lessen that burden.”

under his breath he mutters "you don't have to ask me twice to destroy the abomination..." and he smiles at Barnibus.
