(Just for ease, we'll say the party is marching in two groups, Elidarin and Kaala to the front, Elyza to the rear. The others may decide which group they are headed with as they post)
Not too far into the jungle there appears to be large padded prints on the ground, as well as smaller circular holes like a spear being pressed into the ground.
If anyone wants to make a Survival check in order to try and discern more from the tracks, they may do so.

Vyserra makes way through the jungle far in the back, just in case of whatever was causing the noises would flank them from behind. Noticing the tracks, she kneels down to aid in inspecting them.

Since Kaala is first to the tracks, her first check reveals that the padded prints must be from some sort of large creature, perhaps whatever made that screeching noise. The tracks appear to lead deeping into the jungle, as if to head straight forward.
Back Team
Seeing that Kaala has found some tracks and headed forward, the group double checks their associate's findings. While it appears she is on the right track, there is some additional information. The padded prints resemble something like what a large feline might have. Elyza's knowledge of natural beasts would put the creature to perhaps be something similar to a lion or a leopard. However, its size looks to be somewhat larger than either of those Evadillian creatures, and based on the spacing of the prints, perhaps the beast is not alone as the prints are not perfectly set for a quadruped.
Elyza stops a bit to examine the tracks. She examines them one more time but this time, instead of thinking of something with four legs like the big cats back home, she wonders if it could be some sort of 6 or 8 legged tiger.
If the front team are tracking first, would they please make a group Stealth check.
Group Skill Checks: Everyone in the group makes the same skill check against a set DC. It does not matter if someone fails the skill check, if the majority pass, the entire group passes, and likewise for a majority of fails.

The forward group prowls near-silently as they follow the tracks further inland. The party halts after ten minutes of tracking, as a light growling can be heard in the underbrush, some blood-soaked splatters are visible in the small clearing ahead.
(Just to note the back group is still on the trail, they can roll Stealth too for their group if they wish. They are probably about 50 feet behind on the trail after their stop and investigating of the prior area.)
Elyza watches as the noisy man move into the forest. "In all honesty, I'm curious to what that is. Whether it's a predator or prey, at best the man is going to keep it busy long enough for us to study the alien creature and at worst, he's going to scare the thing off. Better follow him from a distance."
Vyserra continues forward, trying to be as stealthily as possible to try and catch up to the now halted group, her eyes watching for any more movement. Who knows if there was only one of these things?

Kaala looks around to try and find the source, then realises that it is a lot closer to the leading trio than anticipated.
Not in the foliage, but in front of it, is a large feline beast, near fifteen feet long and nine feet tall. Its hide is a striped black and mottled green, with a tiger's head with two brown horns protruding out which could easily be mistaken for branches. The beast appears to have six powerful legs and a long tail with spines on the end. Its deep crimson eyes are locked onto the trio ahead of it, looking at its next potential meal.
ROLLING INITIATIVE!
How I sort Initiative: I roll everyone's initiative in one go to save time on posting. Once they have all been rolled, I post a second time with the sorted initiative order with a quick summary of the current scenario. If your turn is before the next DM-controlled entity (NPC ally, monster, etc.) Then you may post. If you do not post within 24 hours of you being able to, I will assume control until you return to post again.
Scenario: The forward team (Kaala, Thelara, Elidain) are around 15 feet away from the green tiger. Neither side is surprised, as they both looking out for one another after they got in close proximity. The second team (Elyza, Valdays, Vyserra) alongside the two support (Progress, Fera) are about 50 feet further back (65 feet away from the beast). They haven't seen the monster yet, but will do if they continue through until they are within 30 feet of it. Basically there is enough foliage and jungle to block clear view to it from the current distance.
