Laka, although young, has the reassuring mother aspect and also the attitude, so charming, reassuring, warm but also sometime treating the others like children, giving orders, judging etc.
Laucian's parents were Shadar-Kai from the Shadowfell. They followed the teachings of the Raven Queen and were granted a vision that their child would play a great role in the Material Plane and it was the Raven Queen who opened the way for them. Whilst in the Material Plane when Laucian was very young they were mistaken for drow and cast away. On their travels they were set upon by undead - it remains unknown if these were random undead or under the instruction of some necromancer - who killed Laucian's parents. Laucian was able to get away. Resourceful, Laucian adapted to the wildnerness and the underdark and has mostly lived in these places. He still travels around and does briefly enter society at times but he rarely stays long and does not like society. He hates the undead and in adulthood he has refined his abilities to hunt and destroy them. It is for this reason he sticks to the underdark regions where undead are more prevalent.

I'm interested in joining up. Semi-experienced, mainly interested in playing Rogue or Warlock since Wizard's out of the question. Think there'd be any room for one of those two at this point?

Nice scores. And why is a Wizard out of the question? It says you can choose any class and full spellcasters are allowed.

Hi all. The more I learn about the underdark the more I love it. My husband has been DMing forever and told me if I wanted to try it out, PBP is the way to go. I am new, so please understand that.
I want to play an adventure where it is all things underdark. You can play any alignment but NE and CE. You can play any race that WOULD MAKE SENSE being in the underdark. Also, you have to have some way to see in the dark (class benefit or racial).
If you want to apply, I have the following rules
Start at level 5. You can subclass, but the main class will always be at least 1 level higher then the sub-class
Feats can be used instead of ASI
Roll for your stats. 4d6x6 dropping the lowest on each roll. After you do this, you can add 1 ASI point into a stat.
Any class but full casters are allowed (Wizard, Sorcerer, Bard, Druid, Cleric)
Gods are not gods, but powerful entities that can effect the world. They can be killed as well, and it will not destroy the planes.
I look forward to playing with you all soon.
Based on this, it says anything BUT full casters are allowed, sadly. I've been wanting to play wizard for a bit now, but it'd honestly fine. And yeah, those were some good rolls xD
Aww heck, I don't have any of the books through d&d beyond so it's not letting make my character the way I want to xD Might not be able to do this. Sorry.
Ah I read that wrong. Oh well. Arcane Trickers or Eldritch Knight, or Warlock would seem your best bet for magic.
Seems a strange restriction given that Paladins have more game-breaking abilties than any spellcaster in combat. A 6th level paladin built well could one-turn-kill dragons, a boast no other class can make. I'm sure the DM has reasons, though.

Khalli was born to a lower family of drow after one of the daughters decided to play with one of their slaves. Cast out for being an impure creature, she lived on the streets, scrounging what she could to survive. Her capabilities in the dark were not as good as the pure blooded drow, and she didn't have the strength to leave and escape to the surface. However, it is known that some drow consort with demons. Upon successfully calling for aid, she was pacted to a powerful archdevil (or perhaps a creature of darkness instead, if devils are a no-go), who now controls her fate in order for her to have the powers to survive in the underdark.
Background: “Ogrenn Bafflestone of Bafflestone Mining Co at your service.” Orgrenn is the owner of a highly successful mining company. He’s entering the underdark because he’s heard tales of vast amount of known ores, and maybe some highly valuable unknown ones. He is an old Deep Gnome and has a tale or two to tell and he dresses as sharp as his wit.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Holy crap that was the best roll I’ve had on this site!
Well I’ll throw not one, but two character concepts for you to choose!
Murgol Raggedaxe, Duergar Berserker.
Murgol was violent, even for the Duergar standards. Despite he beign in the army, 4th legion, 20th century, his mates quickly learned that they could be subject of his attacks than their enemies. They quickly learned where to point him, thought, and Murgol didn’t care who to beat, as long as he had someone to beat. He had survived some though encounters and his platoon know they can count on him, as long as they point him in the right direction when he grabs his axe. Everything was great until that new captain were appointed to their century. Someone forgot to tell him that Murgol was a member of the Kret’Tregot ( Berserker in Duergar) a particular kind of soldier that hasn’t to wear the regular military outfit due to their abilities in combat and their commitment to death. If this mistake was innocent or orchestrated by someone that wanted to get rid of the new captain is yet to be known, but what happened when he tried to discipline Murgol was inevitable. Before the captain could start his third sentence his head were flying off. Murgol stopped to attack him three minutes later. Now he has been dismissed, temporarily, from service and starts to feel that he needs something to crush...

Frennevîr
Born from a human slave, who was used by a drow wizard to satisfy his twisted needs, for no respectable drow will ever give a human a second glance, Frennevîr never had nothing in his life. As soon as he could walk his mother sent him away, for she thought it was better to live in the streets of the drow city that to be an slave. He survived robbing, hiding and beign bullied and assaulted by both the rest of the urchins in the streets for his drow heritage and for the drow who dared to look down to someone so insignificant and aberrant. He was nearly killed once, by a group of drow guards that just saw him and he was brought as a sacrifice to a drow wizard. Fate wanted that, unknown to both of them, that wizard was his father.
But the entity the wizard was trying to invoke knew it and thought it could be fun to toy with them for a while. He offered Frennevîr a pact, power to crush them all, to cut their throats, to make them kneel before him... if he was able to kill that wizard. Without hesitation Frennevîr strangled the wizard, who was suddenly surprised when the intented sacrifice of the ritual stood up and broke the binding circle as he stepped out to grab him by the throat.
With his new abilities and powers, and some of the money of the dead wizard, Frennevîr was able, at last, to stablsih himself at the outskirts of the drow city, and he quickly became the leader of a small band of thieves and smugglers. The Fog Wings. After some years of this little operation with his band of urchins and petty criminals operating in the underworld of the drow city, they got too ambitious and they tried to assault the carriage of a low Llolth acolyte. But their intel was ill intended feeded by a greedy lieutenant. That carriage was of no young acolyte, but of a priestess of Llolth who showed no mercy with his little band. He scaped barely alive more due to luck and his patron powers and the time she took to kill his band. He was fortunate though and she never recognized or saw him.
Zenikul loves his family, but doesn't want to be ruled by them or known by them. He wants to make his own name in the world. Which is probably how he got caught and bought to the underdark. Looking into recent attacks, he has spent his training in the ways of the Bladesinger, not something that is common to the Elven people but common in his family. Zenikul figured he could help some people out by looking into the attacks himself......

Underdark, you say? Let's see how this goes...
Ability scores: 11 8 15 10 10 13
Okay, a little subpar, but I think we can work with it.
Name: Khalli
Race: Half-Drow
Class: Warlock (The Fiend)
Background: Urchin
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Khalli was born to a lower family of drow after one of the daughters decided to play with one of their slaves. Cast out for being an impure creature, she lived on the streets, scrounging what she could to survive. Her capabilities in the dark were not as good as the pure blooded drow, and she didn't have the strength to leave and escape to the surface. However, it is known that some drow consort with demons. Can you clarify this bit? Are you talking about the level up ASI, or getting a bonus +1 to a stat of your choice after rolling?
There is no inventory to start in into the abyss, so you are good.
If the DM can make a campaign I can content share.
Actually Gloom Stalker is exactly what I had in mind for the halfling character, even if just the three levels.
