Twig, after climbing atop the bed, heard the whispers.
"Cut! Stab! Why aren't we fighting!? Use me! Burn! Stab!"
"What if there's more to life than just boom? What gives life meaning? Is it time? Is it the condition and fulfilment of one's soul? Is it death? Are there any snacks in that kitchen?"
"What in the world is up with these whispers? Why is she getting on the bed? I wonder how long she's going to be blue..."

“Hey!” Twig leaps to her feet and tries to bounce (unsuccessfully) on the bed while talking “I. hear. it. too!”
Deciding that feather beds aren’t as springy as she had hoped she begins to examine every inch of the bed, looking quite a sight, crawling with her body and face close to the bed, tail up and flicking, bluer than a blueberry.
Twig examines the mattress, pausing several times to put an ear to the bed. She picks up the pillows and does the same.
Twig flops on the bed, slightly tired by her shenanigans, and listens to the whispers to try and discern where they were coming from.
She also tried asking a question, with more volume than was probably necessary “Can you hear me? Will I be blue forever? What’s your name? Where are you?”
You open the door to the second room on the left in the branched hallway and are greeted by a completely empty ten-foot square room. You are momentarily startled as something unseen brushes across your feet.

Twig can't hear any of the voices that Garth heard. Once Garth gets off the bed, the voices stop.

"Rad, come help me move the bed away from the bed." Garth spoke as he positioned himself at the end of the bed, ready to pull it away from the wall.
Rad goes with Garth and together they pull the bed away from the wall.

Garth then carefully moves around the bed, and on top, trying to find the source of the whispering.
When Garth is on top of the bed, the whispers come back.

Unsure of the game, Twig follows Garth around and on top of the bed.
Twig, after climbing atop the bed, heard the whispers.

Twig continues to hear the whispers, though she can't determine what is allowing her to hear them.

Twig hops off the bed, and brings a pillow with her, putting it to her ear.
She crawls under the bed to see if she can hear down there. She rolls out and climbs onto the footboard, balancing there.
The pillow, surprisingly, squished against her face. It did not cry out or whisper.
From beneath the bed, Twig discovered that twenty years of disuse certainly makes a place dusty.
Balancing on the footboard, Twig still hears the whispers continue, though most of them just seem confused by her own behavior.

Both Twig and Garth figure it out at the same time and hear one whisper each, louder than the others "They're our thoughts!"

Garth immediately hopped off the bed and backed away from the furniture.
"How about we just head downstairs and let our new skull rejoin it's friends, and see what happens."
At this point, I'm expecting those skeletons to stand up and do a jig on the table.
Twig turns to Garth “Excellent idea. On the way let’s just take a quick peek in this last room here...”
Twig crosses the hall and opens the door.

Twig disappears from sight.
"Wow! Nice trick!" Rad exclaimed.

Twig gingerly edges to the right wall and begins to make a lap around the room, seeing if there is anything in the room that’s been made invisible.
She ells her companions what she is doing.
