Garth's blade just glances off the side of the insect's carapace, causing no damage but redirecting the creature's attention on Garth.
Rad slams his hammer against his shield again, but the creature seems unaffected by the spell this time. Its jaws snapped at Garth, but the fighter's shield easily redirected the attack.

"Nothing Stabby couldn't handle," Garth said, smirking as he looked at the dead centipede.
"My guess is that we'll return to our normal size once we exit the room, just like I got my vision back after we left that closet. But you know, we may be the right height to slip through the key hole on the chest and see what's inside." Garth said as he cleaned off his sword.
“I’m going to do a quick look around to see what I can discover. Otherwise getting up to that keyhole looks to be quite the challenge,” Twig grins and begins to move around the chest, examining it for footholds or useful cracks. She then examines the adjacent wall and floor areas, looking for a way to ease their passage.
She goes back to Garth “If we don’t fit in the keyhole, maybe the key is somewhere in there” she points to the dresser.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tiny Twig looks around the room and can't see anything too useful. The chest is very well made and doesn't seem to have any noticeable cracks, though she figures she might be able to make it up with her claws.
Intelligence check: 22
Getting into the chest via the keyhole seems like a great idea, though.
Twig slowly and painstakingly climbed up the front of the chest with her clawed hands and feet, finally reaching the key hole and realized that her head was too big to fit in the hole.

Twig hisses at the keyhole, communicates the issue with Garth, and climbs the rest of the way to the top of the lid, and surveys her surroundings.
She nods and climbs down. Returning to Garth she says “I have a new plan. Let’s see if stepping out of this room returns us to size, then let’s see if we can lasso this trunk out of here. Any ideas how to do that?”
You stand around for about thirty seconds before you feel dizzy again and, when your vision clears, the room is as it was before. You are now back to normal size.
"I think that spell malfunctioned! I was definitely taller..." Rad says, flustered and concerned, tugging at his armor.
"Well there is that closet full of clothes, or the other bedroom. I think we should first establish how far into the room we can enter before shrinking, and then see if items shrink when we toss them in." Garth paused for a moment, clearly thinking about the issue.
Twig steps across the hall and grabs 3 books from shelves. Standing at the door to the shrinking room, she tosses one near the trunk, one halfway in, and one on the floor just inside the doorway, to see if they shrink.
“As for the magic wand. I don’t know how to use it, or how they work. Do you know how to use it?” Twig begins fishing it out of her backpack. She holds the wand out for Garth to take.
Garth shakes his head, "No idea how those magic sticks work. But at least we know objects don't shrink. Don't we still have that rope?"
(Assuming rope is long enough, if not Garth goes back to the bedroom and strips the sheets from the bed to supplement the rope)
Garth fashions a lasso with the rope. He then hand Rad the opposite end of the rope to prevent accidentally throwing the whole thing in the room. Aiming carefully, he tosses the lassoed end to the chest.
The centipede writhes some more, legs flailing about in pain.

"Hah!" Garth shouts as he deflects the centipede's attack. He slashes at the creature again, seeming to enjoy the exchange.
Attack: 17 Damage: 8
The centipede is skewered by the blade, yellow goop oozing out of its body as it falls limp on the floor.

Sighing in relief, Twig looks around for more bugs or any other threats.
“Excellent work,” she nods to Garth “I’m glad you came”
Twig sees no more insects, surprisingly.
