Custom Campaign - Cold Cash

Tirana leads Rolen and Kaimos away from the beach and docks; with Pang following along, still unsure on what has happened.  She takes you to a nice part of town, where numerous nice restaurants have sprung up here and there.

She takes you to a townhouse, a nice looking one at that.  You are surprised when she leads you around the back to a set of stairs.  Following them up, you come to a small balcony at attic level of the house.

"I own this house, but rent out the first two floors.  I let my friend Poldrik stay here for free.  He's a begger you see.  No real place to go, so... there you go." 

She first knocks, but when there is no answer she tries the door, and eventually has to unlock it herself.  The place is bare.  No furniture, no food.  If not for a makeshift mattress and a wood carving of a small man, you would think no one lived here.

"Huh." Tirana says. "Guess he's not home.  I should probably wait until he gets here."  She motions towards the floor.  "Make yourself comfortable." She says and then shrugs; sitting down as comfortably as she can in her dance outfit.

Rolen: (to everyone) "Wow, this place is really impressive. you must be really wealthy to have such a nice place, Tirana."

"Well, you don't dance as long as I have without learning how to save and invest." She laughs.  "Be still dancing on bars in some sleazehole if I didn't save up."

She shakes her head. "Twenties are passing me by, and I've been thinking on retiring anyways, focus more on my properties."  She takes a moment and removes her anklets.  

She turns to Kaimos, with a bit of a twinkle in her eye.  "I would be dead if not for you.  I want to give you these.  They keep you light on your feet; which I needed after..." She looks down towards her overweight body.  "I wouldn't still be able to dance without them, but I feel it is time to move on."

She hands over the anklets to Kaimos.  They feel as if nothing is in your hands, like a breeze could blow them away.

"I..." Kaimos seems to be at a loss for words for a moment.  "Thank you," he says solemnly.  "Are you sure?  I don't want you to have to give up your livelihood."

Kabarr finds Smith tools, Thieves tools, and a poisoners kit.  It is clear to him that these Ice elves had been attacking and raiding more than just casinos.  After gathering up all of his new supplies, he motions to the others to vacate the ship. 4 to persuade them to hurry up before they have more trouble.  “I think we need to sell this ship before that group comes back.”

Investigation: 3

 "Give me a minute!" Flayr yells back.

"In a second, I'm busy searching!"

Kabarr drops his head in frustration and says under his breath “I can take over an Ice elf ship but I can’t get anyone to hurry up.”

He moves to the edge of the ship to await the other two searching.  Wondering if the casino boat captain would like to buy the ship, he looks for him on the dock.

Gnook, other than finding the tools below deck as well; you found a low shelf in the cabin, that unlocks in a classic Aqua Gnome trick, that was included when they sold this tech to the Ice Elves.  You push the switches in the 4-2-6-2-1 pattern and it unlocks; revealing a small blunderbuss.  (Range 15ft Cone; 3d6 damage per target; with 10 round packets)

Kabarr, asking around, you quickly find out that the casino boat captain didn't make it.  By the time you return to the boat; several town guards have arrived, a few approach the boat.

Tirana shakes her head.  "Seriously, Kaimos, look at me.  I had to use magic to keep being able to do my job.  I'm well past my prime." She looks down at her large frame.  "I should move on, need to."

Gnook's eyes widen when he sees the contraption, and quickly snatches it and takes the ammo, then heads up and out.

(... Free shotgun? I'll take it!)

(So, what should we name Gnook's new best friend? Anybody got suggestions?)

Rolen: (to Kaimos) "Hey Kaimos, are you still going on that trip? or has all this excitement changed your plans? Cause if you are still going on that trip, maybe i can tag along just to get out of the city while all this chaos blows over."

Kaimos smiles and lays a hand on Tirana's shoulder, looking her in the eyes, and says sincerely, "Then thank you, I would be happy to accept.  And for what it's worth, magic or no, you were truly captivating."

He looks over to Rolen as his friend speaks up.  "Yah, seems like a good time to get out of town right now.  I'd welcome the company."

Kabarr says to the town guards, “hello,  where would someone go if they were inclined to sell a ship?”

Flayrs stands behind his friend and for once lets him do the talking. 

Pang stays quiet throughout the exchange, but keeps a close eye on the nearest window.  There's no way no one noticed that confrontation, and he's not one to drop his guard yet...

Rolen: (to everyone in the town house) "I don't know about you guys, but i'm gonna get some shut eye. If we are traveling in the morning i'm definitely going to need some rest."

(theres no furniture right? if so i guess im just laying down on the floor. and i'm taking a long rest [if that matters at all])
