As the party drops the final chimera the sun has also dropped beyond the horizon. D.O.R.K. realises that they can not be seen from the village. However, a bitterly cold wind has also sprung up and it is going to be a freezing night for all the party members; well below minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius. Whilst they may get some relief huddling in the back of the cave it may be difficult for them to stop shivering long enough to either gain sufficient rest or summon the concentration necessary to regain their spells. Furthermore sunrise will not be until 7.45 am the next day.
Illezenya therefore decides to cast Leomunds Tiny Hut to provide the party with shelter for the night.
The spell only lasts for eight hours so he opts to cast it at 10 pm that night in order to get the eight hours rest the party needs to regain hit points, spells etc.
Haetone is unable to fit into the dome but Mullo leads her to the back of the cave before the spell is cast in front of him providing him with shelter from the biting wind.
In the period before spell is cast the party shivers in the darkness.
(OOC: there is a DC 15 Fortitude save made every hour to avoid hypothermia {nb if the party didn’t have winter clothing they’d be making the save every 10 minutes. To reflect the shelter provided by the cave I’ll be making these rolls at Advantage. If Illezenya had not cast the spell and a player had taken more than 50 per cent of their full HP of subdual damage over the night they would have been unable to get the rest necessary to regain HP or spells greater than level 2).
The party spends some time sorting through the detritus of the chimera's lair and amongst other things they find an unusual robe festooned with patches, a globe and a potion flask. They also find 120 nibs, 45 shards, six 100 gp gemstones, a torn-up suit of gnome-sized leather armor with a tiny electrum music box (worth 50 gp) tucked inside one of its many pockets, a dagger with an obsidian blade (worth 75 gp), a gold-plated helm studded with gems and topped with a tiny golden anvil (worth 750 gp).
Devin's shoulders slump as the last chimera falls. He was elated to drop the first but he still had hurts and wounds that needed tending. He was grateful for the armor he wore that resisted the cold.
As they had a few hours of time before the hut was created Devin spent some of time casting Detect Magic as a ritual to see what, if anything, of the things they have found were magical. He would then cast Identify as a ritual so as to see what the magical items are and what powers they may hold.
He'll gather anything else into the Bag of Holding to keep it safe until a chance to sell or disperse as needed comes along.
"Ilezenya could you cast that spell twice so we don't have to spend hours in the cold?" he wonders out loud to him.
Not knowing or fully understanding the limitations of Ilnezya's blessing, D.O.R.K instead focused her attention in the interim before the hut is made searching the cave alongside the rest. Though even had it been explained, her trust remained with Ilnezya in how best to utilize the miracle. The cold, or so she'd reason, would just another trial for the party to endure.
But be all that may D.O.R.K is anything but idle in the interim. While her goal had mainly been to find anything of use that could be burned for some fleeting comfort for the others, she'd ultimately settle for helping in sorting the various coin and knickknacks found among the detritus. But when it eventually came time to leave Devin to finish up identifying any magic among their findings, she would in the meantime go about scattering some of the more worthless refuse closer to the entryway at what she measured to be key points. That is, if there was any that might make a satisfying loud crunch or noise if stepped on by unexpected visitors.
After all that she'd spend the remaining time in prayer and contemplation. But on the next day if all went well enough, D.O.R.K not only saw to it that Ebonitus, Herself, and Devin would be imbued with Mother's Grace(lvl 4), but send off seperate messages to Torunn and Beedo.
To Torunn:
"It's almost time. Make what preparations you can. We are on our way back up. Quiet approach, if possible. Beedo's been informed. See you soon."
To Beedo:
"Beedo. This is... Red. Don't Panic. We're on our way to assist. Preferably quietly. Make what preparations you can for escape. Notify Vark if possible."

Beedo hears the words "Beedo. This is... Red. Don't Panic. We're on our way to assist. Preferably quietly. Make what preparations you can for escape. Notify Vark if possible" in his mind.
If anybody could see Beedo, which they can't because it is both dark and his cage is in the larger section of the village on the far side of the cleft, they would see him smack the side of his head. All that D.O.R.K. hears back is "get outa me bloody 'ead ya mangy ghost. I ain't talking to ya. People will reckon I've lost me marbles!"
Toruun hears the words "It's almost time. Make what preparations you can. We are on our way back up. Quiet approach, if possible. Beedo's been informed. See you soon." He responds "right you are lass. I've not seen Beedo since we got captured but Vark is another cage on this side of the cleft!"
After hearing back the replies to her messages, D.O.R.K put a hand to her forehead (while careful to avoid her mark of creation), and shook her head. "... I have informed Torunn and Beedo. Unfortunately, lack of communication in this manner has left the latter... skeptical, to say the least." She pantomime's sighing, then turned to regard the party.
"For better or worse, things will not remain quiet for long once prisoners are freed, so he will adapt I'm sure. As for Vark, he is within the same area as Torunn at least. The same cleft, to be more exact. With all that said, has everyone finished preparations. If so, we should begin our ascent. With the goal being to try and scale the walls quietly. Though if there's a few minutes to spare-..." She looked to Devin. "We may need whatever methods you have to scout once more. Briefly. Just so that we know for sure where to find Torunn and Vark."

As far as the ultimate distribution of items once fully identified, that is something D.O.R.K at least relegated to Devin if asked her opinion on the subject. But if something need be put to a vote, she certainly elect the man to keep a hold of the robe and wear it readily for infiltration mission, seeing as the ladder come quite handy in a pinch! (OOC: The climb, in the inclement conditions, to the village which is approximately 2000 metres above the valley floor is going to test the party’s fortitude to the limit. Devin put the robe on, it did have some useful items in it. They may come in handy. He offered the driftglobe to anyone who wanted it. He knew he was not the only one that could not see in the dark. The globe would come in handy.
As they trudged up stairs the increasingly poor weather really slowed them down. As tired as he was he saw his companions were in worse shape. "We must take the chance and rest, We cannot operate in this way, certainly not free our friends."
Ilezenya ritually casts Tiny Hut over and over, keeping the outside of the hemisphere opaque so no one can see inside. The magic prevents anything from entering the area, and also allows him to maintain a warm and comfortable temperature. Over time the exhaustion seeps out of the party's bones, until they are finally ready to begin the assault of the yakfolk village.
After about eight hours (10pm), Illezenya sticks his head outside the dome of force created by the hut. It is pitch black outside and while the bitter cold of the previous day has lessened somewhat the wind has picked up and is howling around the dome. There are also flurries of snow in the air.
