"Well, maybe you should give it back to him...whoever has it. Just for the fun of it....or use it to kill all these damnable beetles?" At this moment, as if in protest of her idea, a beetle crawled into her mouth, and she spent the next few moments smacking her own face, spitting and gagging.
"Well, he's going to get it back in a few minutes anyway.
I like the idea of using the head. Do beetles die from necromantic knowledge? What a fascinating question! Remember to keep your eyes closed, heh heh..."
Action: If Erich is AFK leaves will wrestle the box from him and try to necro-glare the beetles to death. Eyes closed!
"I don't think that giving the powerful necromatic object to the powerful necromancer is a good idea. Assuming that he's controlling the scarabs, they probably won't be affected either." Jevyn slid deeper within the group, using Venetia and Tak as cover for his next action. "Amenhoptep! I'd like to make a deal! Let us out, and we'll give you the artifact. Keep trying to kill us, and I'll burn it to a crisp."
Silence follows Jevyn's proposal, and then Amenhotep speaks.
You only prolong your suffering.
Then the beetles begin to recede into the cracks and crevices in the stone from which they emerged. A tunnel opens to your right, flooding the room in eerie green light.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tak squints and dares to peek. "Is it over?" Unfurling his wings and seeing the now empty room he opens his eyes fully and looks into the tunnel seeing if there are any more traps.

Inwardly relieved that his gamble had worked, Jevyn continued down the hall, one hand on the cursed object. Whatever the hell it was, it was important to this... lich, maybe? If he could decode his book on necromancy, maybe he would find some answers. Keeping his distance behind Leaves and Tak, he scanned the floor for traps, hoping to find something in the dim light of the tomb.

Tak closes his eyes. "Here we go again"
Venetia, closing her eyes and slapping her hands over them for extra protection, realizes chaos is about to erupt.
A deep, velvety voice whispers in her head, "Necromatic knowledge? Oh, do you not want just a taste of *that* power, my little pumpkin-tart?"
Venetia, snarls, head bent, eyes covered. "Go away," she whispers back.

Leaves had packed a few beetles away in a small box for later. She flicked one into the air and snapped it up.
"Over? Its just begun, my 'good' friend.
There is only one way forward it seems, lets stop wasting time."
She went toward the green light, eager to get this over with.
Seeing the bugs disperse Erich will follow along with Leaves

Sorry everyone, I'm withdrawing from all my PbP campaigns. I just don't have enough time to create a compelling and interesting campaign.
Thanks so much for bearing with me on this campaign. There were definitely some rough patches, but I hope you all had a good time.
Keep on critting!
