"I am no one's bodyguard!" Namura shouted, popping out from behind a rock and firing two arrows at the closer one. She cast Hunter's Mark before releasing the first arrow, which hit the monster in the shoulder. The second arrow went wide, so the ranger dove behind the rock to grant herself some cover.
Hearing Lero's clear warning and Namura's angry voice about not being someone's body guard almost makes Kraithee move foward, but in this darkness, even his Aether given eyes can't see too far and others in the group need light also so, it decides to create some chandeliers. Raising both its hands upward Kraithee starts concentrating his Aether into the palm of its hands and makes it swirl faster and faster, creating heat, hit that ignites into two firebolts that hit the egg clusters above the group clearly illuminating the spidery creatures which are 70 ft above them.
Now we see you! And I am thinking you better leave us alone or by The Conduit I will burn this cavern to the ground, until even the rock melts!

"Well, that is better than my lantern," which she opens all the way now just to add that to the immediate area. She crosses her ladder bridge and set the lantern down so it lights up the area to make sure if the fight comes back this way they see the hole. She sets herself about ten feet from her ladder bridge and takes aim at the one closest to her. The boom of the thunder cannon is amplified in the large cavern and a hole is made in the rock to the left of the one she was aiming for. Not off by far, but definitely not good enough. She starts reloading for her next chance because she was sure she would get one.
Namura's infused arrow, coupled with the flaming eggs, put the two tanar'ri driders into a frenzy, as they both sought out for Kraithee's aether. Launching a volley of arrows, the first drider was blinded by the light, as his arrows went wide. The second drider's arrows struck true, hitting Kraithee and injecting him with their poison. In Abyssal, the first drider shrieks to the second, "Brother! We must call forth the mother wurm!" To which his response was, "No, not yet! We can kill these fleshlings ourselves!"

Kraithee really got the spider-creatures attention with its last action and in return was hit with a arrow with a burning poison in it that really weakened Kraithee.
Not wanting to take much more time before someone could attend its wounds, Kraithee grabs some guano and a bit of sulfur and while they were mixed in between its fingers, Kraithee concentrated in the mixture, lending it part of its Aether. When it could not hold any longer the energy, Kraithee threw the small ball of material in the middle of the creatures and as it hit the ceiling of the cave it exploded in a ball of fire, dislodging and setting the creatures on fire.
(Cast Fireball 8d6 = 31 fire damage, DC 14 (Drider 1 failed, Drider 2 saved))
Seeing the massive fireball drop the driders to the ground, Lero sprints from around the corner, sliding on the sticky threads, and dashes towards one of them as they're prone on the ground. With his venom dagger in hand he stabs into the back of one of the demon elves (#2), the dagger digging deep into its flesh (17 Damage). He the rolls backward and pulls his rapier out with his other hand (10 feet from #2). "You should have let us pass," he says, glaring down at the demon.
As Lero rushes towards one of the demons, Flux pulls out a flask of acid, and flings it at the other. The acid hits it, and while it doesn't do much damage, it does enough to kill the beast.

Buama felt a bit blinded by the fireball and far more relieved she was not even on the edge of it. The nasty beasts were knocked from the ceiling. Fine. She readjusted her aim to the one closest to her and with a mighty BOOM blasted the disgusting beast away. It shuddered in the tremor the thunder caused and crashed to the ground as its spindly legs gave out.
"HA! Take that ugly!" She starts prepping for her next shot. "You want some, too?" She gives the remaining one a big grin.

The final drider screeches at the death of its brother, and is quickly silenced by Buama's thunder cannon. Its body goes limp as the slug from her cannon punches through its skull, blasting brain matter across the cavern floor behind it. The nearby cavern is dimly lit by the burning egg sacs hanging in the air. Large chunks of webbing fall to the ground, as the fireball incinerated and disconnected many strands of it.
Azi remarks, watching the egg sacs ablaze, "We shouldn't stay here too long. If there is a mother wurm, and she finds us, we're done for. You've seen now big these wurms are, and we just killed about a dozen of her kids."
Searching the cavern, you find there are five tunnels connecting to it, including the one just created by a wurm tunneling through nearby. One of the tunnels quickly end to a large chasm, approximately 20 feet long and 30 feet wide, it descends into total darkness. The skeletal remains of some ancient adventurer lie on a ledge about 60 feet down on the far side of the chasm, with something glistening on its finger.
Hearing Lero's request, Azi volunteers himself to head up. "I'll go check out their lair up above, if someone wants to come with me. If there are any threats, I will quickly end them and protect you." With that said, he climbs up the thick, sticky threads, up past the flaming egg sacs and onto the webbing above.
With the last elf-demon dead, Lero does a quick search of the room. Finding nothing but old bones and gross webs, he suggests they all continue. "I don't think there's anything much around here unless we climb down there," he points to the chasm nearby and then to the burning chandeliers up above, "or up there." Turning to Namura, who is already collecting arrows, he asks, "Where do you think we should go? I doubt they were telling the truth when they suggested the exit was in that direction." He points to the tunnel the creatures were indicating.
"No," Namura said in response to both Lero and Azi. "No more checking out side tunnels. This was a mistake from the start, one I will take responsibility for." She took stock of the other adventurers, looking to see if anyone was hurt too badly. Kraithee appeared to be the only one who had been hit, and they did not appear to be in great shape. "We need to start heading back now, as quickly as we can. We've gotten distracted from the dark site and lost at least two days to my own stupidity."
"Have you found a way to fly? Last I checked the only way out was over a hundred feet up through a hole in the middle of a massive cavern. I'd rather we keep looking for a way out than we sit in the cavern yelling for help." He looks around at the demon elves, "It seems we found the way they control the wurms, at the very least. If these naether demons are using the tunnels, we're on the right path. Stopping second guessing yourself and lead us."
"I have a better chance of climbing up that rock than finding my way through this maze," the ranger continued, still unconvinced. "Look at the skeletons, Lero. People die down here. Those driders tricked us, we have no evidence that there is an actual way out!"
"Then find that evidence!" Lero's voice echoes through the chamber. "You have a better chance of finding the path they use to enter and exit this place than any of us do. For us, it's a wild guess." Lero points to the cliff twenty feet up that leads into another tunnel, "I would just lead us through there. Why?" He shrugs, "Because it's higher up than the ground we're already on."
"Well, that was what I was going to do!" Namura growled. "So if you can figure that much out, why do you need me?" She stopped herself from continuing to shout at Lero. "How many day's worth of rations do we have left? I've got 9, and I have no way of hunting food down here. I refuse to press onward if we're going to starve."
"We have eggs," Lero says, pointing at the glowing balls of aether-wurm. "I bet Buama makes a mean omelette."
He notes Flux and Azi coming back down the webs and calls out, "Any of you have rope? There's something down this hole." He leans over with his lantern, looking at the shiny glint.
"Oh... and you have my goggles," He says back to Namura. "We need to keep going, and we trust your instincts and skill. Simple as that."
Namura pulled off the goggles and handed them back to Lero without a fight. "Fine," the elf crossed her arms. "But I am giving myself three day's time to find a way out this way. If I can't, then we're turning around and I'm going to try my hand at rock climbing. I don't do sitting around, but I also don't do starving to death."
Without further discussion, the ranger took a running start at the cliff. She easily scaled it, climbing right next to the ladder Buama had brought just to show off. She needed to prove that point, that she was capable. Quickly pulling herself into a new tunnel, she scanned the new area. There wasn't much to see, but then the smell hit her. It was refreshing, a plant she had often eaten in her youth coming in on a light breeze. "Everyone!" Namura ran back to the edge, peaking over the side. "I smell fresh air and plants! I think this might be the way."
Down in the chasm, Flux looks at the skeleton, and studies it for a few seconds, before grabbing at the ring, not worried how much of the skeleton came up top of the chasm with it. The ring comes free without any of the bones. Flux is ever so slightly disappointed, but as they return, identifies it as a Ring of Free Action.
Upon identifying its properties, they toss it to Lero.
