A minute or so passed before a manly woman opened the door. She wore an elegant, scarlet nightdress, which flowed loosely from her broad shoulders. It was Lefelynn, the woman you met in the cave. She quirks an eyebrow, initially not recognizing Namura or Lero. It's apparent when her recognition comes by the surprised face and loud exclamation of, "By the Great Conduit, you're alive! It's been so long? Where in the world did you run off too?" She invites the two of you into her dimly lit home, eager to her whatever story you might tell.
Lero recounts their journey into the lower levels of the tower and indicates they could not have been gone for more than a couple days. He mentions the new word he'd learned from what they found, "neather." He also makes sure to suggest that the fiends have found a way of training the wurms beneath the city. He hopes Lefelynn will be able to shed some light on these topics and perhaps explain a bit of whats going on - also how a whole week could have passed without their knowing. He doesn't think they ate any of the wurm eggs, but you never know... maybe there was something in those cinnamon rolls.
He ends the story with a question about Arial. How she's taking news of his death and if she had an escort to the ship and if she mentioned her intentions upon returning to the city.
He tries not to eye the lines of her nightdress and the ease to which it can be removed, but fails.
She listened intently, weaving a spell and lighting up the room for clearer visibility. When Lero finished, Lefelynn stared off into the distance, pondering the topics he brought up. After awhile, she shook her head. "Nope. The only thing that sounds vaguely familiar is the topic of time in the tunnels. I've never actually been in them themselves, discluding that short stint in the tunnels. They make me claustrophobic... like the tunnels are closing in on you. Anyway, I've heard tales of others who ventured into the tunnels, returning only after a few short hours, yet they spent over a month in there. I can't begin to fathom why or how it does that. Maybe the plants release some sort of spore or toxin that plays with the mind and one's perception of time?"
His eye movements are easy to spot, and it puts her a little at unease, as she wraps a blanket over herself while returning to sit down. "I don't know much on these tanar'ri. Nor have I heard of anything called naether. That's about all I can help you with... unless you're still looking at travelling to the heart of Peema?"
"We are," Namura nodded, making a point to ignore Lero. "We would appreciate if you would help guide us there, but we also understand if your responsibilities require you to stay here. I'm pretty good with directions, so if you spend an hour with me going over a map I should be good."
"We would appreciate if you would help guide us there, but we also understand if your responsibilities require you to stay here. I'm pretty good with directions, so if you spend an hour with me going over a map I should be good." She laugh jollily at Namura's thought. "Oh, sweet tiger-lily. How could I turn down an opportunity for this! I mean, the base is a secret for a reason, and a simple map wouldn't get you there. Secret tunnels, pass-phrases... A whole slew of ways to keep the Consulate from discovering the location. No, this is something not only you'll need me for, but something I want to do! It's been months since I've had the chance to go explore the wilds of Peema, and couldn't pass down this opportunity."
She moves to stand, trying to go out it as non-seductively as possible, keeping the blanket around her. "We'll meet at the north gate in the morning, m'kay? Get some sleep, get your gear packed and supplies purchased. It'll be a long three days, full of excitement and adventure!"
With the morning sun, Lefelynn arises and makes her way to the north gate, eager to get out and go on this new adventure.
Lero never really met someone so self-conscious about her body. Odd she would cover up and make the whole situation awkward after immediately flaunting herself at the door. No matter, he had preparations to make before meeting at the gate in the morning. He meets Namura at the door as they exit Lefelynn's house, "I need to buy a few things before the markets close... and I think she has the hots for you, sweet tiger-lily." He laughs, "You need anything?"
Namura blushed at the pirate's comments. "I have no idea where the lily part came from," she shook her head. "I got some cinnamon rolls before I came here, which was what I could afford, but I'd be happy to accompany you during your errands. It's a nice night to be walking about."
Buama wakes at dawn and takes in the larger than expected mechanical servant standing dormant in the courtyard. She could actually ride it so had added a saddle and bridle system as a final touch. It was time to wake it up after she managed to eat something. She pulled out some leftover goodies from the night before and munched on them while packing up most of her tools. She set the kits so it was easy to get at a tool if she needed, but she did not expect any issue.
She laid her hands on the head and finished attuning herself. The eyes lit up as if filled with aether. Buama smiled and stepped back. With attunement she was able to command it without speaking. She had it fly up about thirty feet and hover for at least two minutes as she walked around slowly looking up at all the details of the movement. When satisfied she had it land.
"I'm going to have you walk out with me so the elves don't freak out seeing you flying all over the village before getting to see you closer up and know what you are." She rubbed its metallic nose and nodded with satisfaction. "Rather odd I would put you together out in the wilds of Peema in an Elven village and still get everything I needed. You've been a long time in the planning, but I also wanted to make you out of easier to acquire pieces." Some of it was even scrap she had managed to mangle into the proper shape to finally have the semblance of a drake though it operated more like an eagle.
Once fully packed, she had her new servant follow her into the street keeping its wings folded and its head by her shoulder. There were several tentative looks at first, but parents let their children check it out. As the sun came through the trees it glinted on the greenish blue tinted metal.

Flux spends most of the night working on constructing a tigerlike construct. They have little difficulty in creating it, but progress is slow until Kraithee arrives and provides some help in bringing stuff to the construct so that Flux can focus on making the beast. When they are done, Flux sits down, and offers Kraithee some gold for the assistance.
"Krai, thanks for the assistance. I think we should call it Turbo."

Lero and Namura make their way through the marketplace. He picks up some rations, extra silk rope, a mess kit, a bedroll, and a climber's kit. He stops by a weapon merchants stall as well and inquires about the price of silvering his rapier. "Its gotta be done tonight," he says, "As we're leaving in the morning."
He notes Namura eyeing one of the aether-infused Shortswords. "You should get it," he says, "It'll bite a lil harder than the ones you have now."
"I found a magic shortsword earlier" she smiled at the sword as she ran her fingers along it. "It was nicer than this one. But, the woods never had a need for gold, so it's not something I have a lot of." She shrugged, trying to hide her disappointment. "It doesn't matter, I don't need fancy toys to prove I'm an hunter."
Having spent the night with his mind busy hhelping Flux did help Kraithee get its emotions under control and when Flux names the creation Kraithee: "Turbo is a great name for this ferocity! And thank you for the company."
"Well Namura, as Lefelynn is escorting us into the forests I imagine this vendor would be more than willing strike up a deal." He turns pointedly towards the vendor, "I mean he'd hate to have word that he's mistreated Lefelynn's new toy when it came to outfitting her on this expedition. I hear her bite is much harder than her growl." He eyes the merchant as he says this, making sure the implication of the merchants next few words are clear. "So lets say we impress her with tales of a merchant that bestowed his gifts upon her new favorite cub, rather than the former."
Mentioning Lefelynn's name brought a nervous laugh to the street vendor. It would almost seem that he has a history with Lefelynn, and not a pleasant one. "You know Lefelynn, huh? And she likes you even... One moment."
He sighs, moving into the back of the store and disappearing behind a door. [This is a different vendor than the one Namura went to previously] He returns about a minute later, brandishing two aether-infused shortswords. Not nearly of as exquisite quality as the previous vendor Namura had visited, these ones seem like they've seen action before. "I uhh.... found these a few months ago while on a trip in Ghirapur. I wasn't able to secure a portable aether storage device for them, and I don't have any on me in the shop either. People these days like things that are bright and flashy, so no one has been interested in purchasing them. I'll give you both of these, as well as have your rapier silvered in the morning, for a total of 450 gold pieces. A better bargain you won't find anywhere else! Just... please make sure to tell Lefelynn of my grace and generosity? A woman that feral is one you want to keep on your good side. I'd prefer to not get attacked.... again."
Lero moves to inspect the blades. While worn, and having seen better days, he notes that the aether components still work just as well, and if he could find a spare portable aether storage device, the aether tubes could connect to it and power the weapons.
"You are a man of much generosity," Lero says as he digs into his pouch. "Namura, how much gold do you have after our skirmish with the demons beneath the town? I think if we put our funds together we can afford this price. And I'm sure Flux or Buama will be able to shine these up so that you can dirty them with blood."
As they count out their gold, Lero asks the vendor, "In whose name should we send this praise to Lefelynn during our journey? I am a man of my word."
He proceeds to test out the shortswords, connecting them to his A.S.D. to see how they function. As the blue aether is pumped into the blades, the reason for the blade's wear and tear and odd aesthetic design becomes apparent. Lines of normally blue aether are filtered through the blade's design that causes its edges to have an orange glow. This contrasts sharply with the black metal used to craft the hilt and pommel.
"I gotta say... these are actually very nice." He scrapes a bit of his leather with a blade and it peels the top layer off like butter.
He hands them to Namura, complete with the ASD and 8 charges of aether, "Give it a go..."
He smiles brightly, visibly pleased by Lero's question. "My name is Jaelrur! But she might know me as the elf who thought she was being attacked by a wild animal and killed it... From years ago."
Namura gladly handed over her three hundred gold. She mentally vowed to never go shopping without Lero again. "I- thank you Lero," she said, at a loss for words. Namura grasped a shortsword in each hand, examining the blades. "Your generosity astounds me."
The blades sung through the air as she twirled them in front of her. She sliced through the air, aiming to cut just a little bit of his hair off to show off. He flinched a little, and the inch of movement threw the normally expert swords-woman off. The blade nicked his ear, luckily doing no more damage. "Oh traako, Lero I am so sorry," she dropped both sword, rushing over to examine his ear. Namura immediately cast cure wounds, even though it was clearly nothing too bad. Still, she didn't want to leave any unfortunate scars near his face. The cut closed under her fingers, barely leaving a trace that it had been there. "I am so, so, so sorry."
Lero smiles looking into Namura's eyes. She's so close to him that he can feel her breath, "I seriously thought you were going to kill me for calling you a cub."
He smirks and turns to Jaelrur, "Oh, yes. We'll take them." He then hands the merchant his rapier and 150 gold, "We'll be back in the morning for the rapier. And when the time comes, I will attempt to smooth things over with Lefelynn. You have my word."
Turning back to Namura he says, "Keep the A.S.D and the aether doses. If we find another I'll just slot my dagger into it." He looks about the town a bit, noting the darkness creeping in, "I think its time we find a place to rest."
"Oh yeah, don't ever call me a cub again," Namura laughed. "Or tiger-lily. Or whatever other derogatory nickname you are thinking of bestowing upon me."
The pair walked through the town, admiring the first few stars beginning to twinkle in the darkness. "I think it's time we find a place to rest," Lero said.
"I don't want to sleep in the tunnels again," the ranger admitted, a shiver going down her spine. "I'm thinking of just trancing in a tree." They took a few more steps in silence before curiosity got the better of the cat. "Where are you planning to sleep?"
After observing the skyline for an hour, Lero decides it is best he go look for the tiger-elf.
Asking around, he finds himself in front of the very same door Namura is knocking on, "Is anyone home?" He asks.
