It is likely that the pool of water is connected to the ocean. The splashing sound is caused by the droplets falling from the ceiling into the pool, but you can just about notice the slow fluctuations in the water level of the pool - gently rising and falling.
The goblin looks diseased, but his movement does not seem hindered.
"Meep, my friend, you could read the Goblin writing. Could you perhaps communicate with the poor creature. Let it know we mean it no harm and perhaps ask about it's business?
Making your way along, you reach the far side of the cave room, away from the pool of water and the tunnel through which the goblin fled. There are makeshift steps carved into the wall, on top of which is a platform. The floor on the upper level is rougher and dryer then below. However, there are some small puddles, edged with a thick line of salt crystals.
A wide tunnel leads forward out of the cave room. Its walls are lined with thin, pale threads. Small water droplets attached to them shimmer in the light emanating from Jaylens staff. Another, much smaller tunnel leads out of the cave room to your left. This tunnel has markings written next to it which Meep translates simply as ‘back’.
The tunnel’s surfaces become progressively more lined with the tiny threads and it is soon difficult to walk freely. You need to watch your every step in order to avoid touching the sticky threads.
(DarthDeizzt you could try re-subscribing to the thread. Maybe that would help?) (Also... how is everyone rolling so bad D: )
Kamos, leading the way, you manage to avoid the sticky threads with ease and can continue forward, but you notice behind you that the others aren’t doing so well.
Dhara, although you are closely following Kamos, you are also helping Meep along, as his small size makes it nearly impossible for him to step over all the threads. Meep nearly steps on one of them, but you manage to pull him past it. However, as you turn to follow after Kamos again, you take a step forward and end up stepping on one of the threads yourself. You struggle a bit trying to pull your leg off. The sticky substance is strong, but it does eventually give and you can continue.
Further behind, Jaylen, is even worse off. You have managed to step on one of the thicker threads. The more you try to get free the more stuck and entangled you become in the many threads that line the ground. (Jaylen’s now considered restrained)
Halhace, you manage to avoid most threads, however, distracted by Jaylen being stuck, you step on one. With a bit off force you manage to pull your leg free, breaking the thin thread in the process.

Meep looks about with uncertainty, then nods and speaks in goblin loudly enough to be heard clearly from the other side of the cave.
Persuasion: 8
The goblin jumps sharply to its feet and runs off deeper into the tunnel, disappearing from your view.
Kamos: (to the party) "Well, the problem solved itself. lets keep exploring."
Kamos continues further into the cave.

"Thank you, my friend. Truly you are blessing of the weave."
I cast guidance on Kamos for whatever check he will have to make to get me out of here. He has an extra 1d4 on his roll.
(So what do you do, to get Jaylen out of the threads?)
(i was thinking pulling him out.)
