To Deep mother: "Please allow me a moment to confer with my fellow colleagues regarding how to best serve the glory of the sea mother."
I'll move out of earshot and then address the pc characters: "You guys need to learn some god damned tact!! Stuffing your faces and trading barbs in the presence of the powers that be?! Get your shit together and quit making me look bad while I'm trying to parlay! You're killing me, smalls and other smalls!! Now, what do you 2 make of this situation? The way I figure it, we want to go over and make nice with the deep father folks so we can beg, borrow, or steal a boat from them since they have all of the water craft. Thoughts? And by 'thoughts' I mean intelligent ideas that may actually be helpful!
"Lass, you hear him say 'blood sacrifices'? you reckon they welcome us with open arms? You asked me to follow you lead, and aye. But I told you i'll not stand idly by while innocents get get murdered. these followers of the Sea Mother don't seem the violent type. Who's being sacrificed is what I would like to know? I ain't above doing what needs to be done to get it done, but there are lines Lass that aren't to be crossed... Elmo?"
Gremryl isn't above doing what needs to be done, but as a paladin he can't collude with evil folks.
"Damn it, Grem, quit chugging the coolaid and listen to reason! There are those that would say that YOU are a blasphemous heathen because you don't believe in the same god that they do! Religions are subjective by nature and there are always gonna be those that disagree with certain practices! And we are only getting one, very biased, side of the story here! Who knows what the other side may have to say about these "mother" ****ers? We at least should hear them out, lest you be branded as "evil" for killing a bunch of poor folks that are just trying to practice their religion in peace!!"
"I'll not go into the nuances of religion and what i be thinking as evil compared to ye lass... you want to walk down there and make nice to see what we can be taking. I'll go with ye.. but I won't be telling you again, I see a sacrifice taking place and that mile down the road you spoke of earlier.. best be getting a run then. Evil is evil.. or are Drow just misunderstood?"
"The drow aren't evil because of their religious practices, they are evil because of their comportment! I don't want to argue with you about religion either because it doesn't further my goal, but I'm glad we agree on me leaving you to go meet your god if you choose to become a martyr for your convictions. What do you think Elmo? Care to jump on the sane train with me?"
And this will be my final post for the night. Over and out, team.
"Fine...Morgana lets head over and 'hear' out these other folks and what they have to say. I'll not be a martyr as Moradin is about that life, and we need to cross that lake. Mayhap we can 'commandeer' a boat then.. "
Morgana, stop with the hot air and brimstone leaving your lips. I have been holding back my thoughts, but your lack of civilility, manners, or wise decicions has broke ol' Elmo's silence. I dont know where ye got this impression that you were some kind of diplomat or intellectual, but from what I've seen you're talents lie in making foolish hot headed statements, verbally attacking those whom are aiding in your survival, and being duplicitous. Ol Elmo aint no saint, but I see a bit of a monster in you. These folk let us into their home, feed and shelter us, and you talk with their leader with words that sound of honey, while all the while holding a dagger behind your back and plotting. You would sacrifice the lives of all in this village for yourself from what I can tell. You can use false equivalency all ye to compare good and evil. It will only help you sleep at night, not Elmo, and not Grem. Grem and myself, we don't make excuses in order to live with yourself. We know wretchedness when we see it, even if its within. It seems you can only see wickedness when it comes from a drow. How would Grem and I know if you arn't feeding us a line of shite just to earn our trust? How do we know that you aren't readying a dagger behind your back waiting for a moment to cut us loose in order to serve yourself? I can only judge you by what you have shown, and what I have seen is upsetting to Elmo. And I say that having worked with some right bastards. ..
You are a demon on the battle field lass. You dont have to be one off the battle field as well friend. Holy shite tiefling, I never believed that ol' Elmo would be inclined to side with a righteous arse paladin on matters of morals.
Shuushar walks over to the group and says,"Adventurers, please forgive the interruption as you're presumably engaged in a heated debate over what path is best to take next. If you like, the Sea Mother has offered to give you one of our hovels to continue your...*cough*...discussion. Please, this is no place for you to linger unnecessarily as I fear the Deep Father worshippers may see your presence here and quickly come to a consensus on your fate."He looks across the way as if to discern whether or not this has already taken place."If you do indeed intend to bring peace to our village once more, your association with us must remain hidden...for now. While there is not much in the way of a market that you would expect, we can procure the common goods to best prepare you for your adventure. It would be wisest if you allowed us to bring them back to you at market price, however. Your lodging is right this way."He motions you to follow him to a nearby hovel that looks unoccupied.
Buppido - "Right behind ya, fish-face. Have I ever told you how creeped out I am at your people's lack of eyelids? Creepy AF..."Buppido gets up to follow Shuushar to the hovel.
Stool - "Yes, of course, and thank you very much!"Stool telepathically communicates to Shuushar after releasing a cloud of spores into the air.
What will you all do? If you wish to procure any standard items, make the request of Shuushar and he'll send someone out to seek it. Expect PHB pricing with minor fluctuations in price depending on what exactly you're looking for. Somethings are harder to come by in the Underdark...
Gremryl looks over at Shuusar and to the rest of them:
"Look, its been a long few days, and a quick break with food and more ale out of the open wouldn't do us harm. Give us a clear head to figure our next step, and cool down. I vote we go to the hovel, and regroup. Then make our plan from there. Whether it be to steal a boat, or help or smash some heads, we can figure this out as a team."
To Elmo: "You got only one thing right in your little tirade; I'd sacrifice every single soul in this village if it meant furthering my own ends. I don't owe these clowns a damn thing and will say or do anything to them if it means furthering my own ends."
To the party in general: "I'm not a big fan of anybody telling me where or when to go so I am gonna head to the market. You two are welcome to come along or I can meet you back at the hovel later. Plus, I've never had any of this "ale" that you two seem so fond of so I think I may stop by the bar to give that a try."
Bob: That's gonna be the course of action that I take unless you want to try to write in something regarding the plan that I texted to you guys earlier about surveillance and such.
Moradins shakes his head, why are young teenager tieflings so difficult. He's not one to leave or let teammates wander around solo. Since his army days he was always told to take a battlebudy wherever, especially in a new town and with possible hostiles in the area, more so.
He looks at Elmo: "We can't be letting the lass wander about by herself, she's liable to burn the place down. Plus, there's an undercurrent running through this town. I don't trust it, but we need to stick together my reckon. Plus she wants to have an Ale, and I'm for that!"
To Morgana: "We'll be going with you lass, we maybe able to get some intel at the bar! Drunken people tend to open more about the state of things, and we maybe able to glean more to the town for it! A good plan! "
To grem: That girl is a liability. I learned long ago that companions on a job/heist/ adventure that only care about themselves are bad news. That being said, I don’t know her story My words were true but hush. There’s honor amongst thieves and I couldn’t abide myself if somebody who helped save my life was murdered after taking a tongue lashing from Ol Elmo. If we survive, we need to give that girl talking to before she gets as both killed. Just do me a favor I’m going to be like the shadows, don’t let her know that I’m with you eh? Want to see the look on her face when I save her life.
Elmo would like to stealth behind grem and Morgana.
"aye, she's got a fire in her burning hotter than moradins forge! watch out backs Elmo, should something about to happen make the signal and I'll be ready!"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
K, I'm heading off to the market first to procure supplies. I'll make a perception check on my way over there to make sure that I'm not being followed by anything hostile. 22

Gremryl looks over at his companions:

Gremryl arches an eyebrow at the outbourst.. more lies beneath the halfings surface. Interesting.
