Morgana looks back into the water for any signs of her attacker but doesn't see the bastard...Turning her attention to mending her wing, she's able to bandage it up and feels confident that she'll be able to try flying again tomorrow.
Asking Hemeth what more he may know about the note, all she get's is a shrug of his broad, Dwarven shoulders. It doesn't appear that he knows much more of what he's already expressed. The best guidance he can provide is to take the dagger to his father in Gracklstugh, who may know more about any possible Drow connections to powerful demon lords in the Underdark.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
To Gleb:
Ye want to see the surface do ye? Hmmmm... you would love things about it up there thats for certain. I imagine you'd love the food the most mate.
There would be challanges on the surface. Mostly they stem from the fact that not many surface dwellers are as accepting and non-judgmental as ol'Elmo. Most folk up top have never laid eyes on one of your kind. Plus ye tend to digest whatever you touch (elmo throws him another bite of pocket meat). They be challanges for sure, but perhaps they be ones that can be addressed by powerful magics. Ill ask about for ye as we travel.
As for ye other questions, I got into this place by me own foolishness. I played the fool and didn't follow me gut. (takes a bit of meat) I took a job... (elmo pauses to explain)... a job in me line o work means that me and me crew of not so lovable louts were hired to takes something that was not ours. Anyhow, I didn't follow me gut, took a job in the under dark, and now find meself in this miserable den of shite.
Im a halfling, we tend to be a lot of lovable scamps with a penchant for stories and good times aye. In that way im a halfling, but I think I be a bit wiser than many of me tribe. Plus I have a variety of talents that many a non-halfling wouldnt shake a stick at lad...
With that Elmo stands up and does as impressive a display of grace and acrobatics that he can:
Acro check: 21
Whats about ye? What are ye talents mate? Impress ol'Elmo. Or maybe I can teach ye something new.
”Aye, he’s a scamp..that reminds me.. that headlock you got me in when we first met. A good move indeed! I’ve heard of the duergar wrestling and martial art style! I’d like to learn from ye. In turn, I’ve some tricks I can show you from my gutbusting days! Might be we do some sparring when we land, whether you use Bella or not you strike me as one who can handle himself and all dwarves are small but we brawl aye!”
“Morgana ye want me to heal that wing of yours lass?”
Gremryl will cast ‘lay on Hands’ which is a divine action restoring the 5hp.
“Come here lass.” - He whispers a blessing into his hands rubbing them together as if to warm them up... then a radiant glow shines from within them. He then puts his hands over her broken wing.. and the radiant glow encompasses her wing... mending with the holy power of moradin making it whole.
” There ye be lass, now go, up in the air you go!”
Hemeth to Gremryl - "My family has been in Gracklstugh since it was founded. We have knowledge of many of the old Dwarven clans...including the Stonebreakers. Knowledge is power, friend."he replies. "And aye, all Dwarves worth their lick of salt brawl. That always is true! Hahaha!"
Glabbagool to Elmo - "Fascinating! I did not know creatures could move like that. Well, I just learned this trick...watch me."As Elmo watches the cube disappear right in front of his face, he reaches forward to touch the space that Glabbagool previously occupied. "Woah!" Glabbagool exclaims and reappears in front of Elmo. "Best not to touch me. Things have a habit of...dissolving...when they touch me. What do you think of my disappearing skill?"
As more time goes on, the party continues to dialogue amongst themselves. If not to further strengthen their relationship, then to simply pass the boredom.
Hours go by...all you can see is the Darklake, and occasionally the fungi that grow around the edges of the shorelines that lead to caverns which end in...you have no idea. Best to keep moving and hope to remain unseen.
Once again you take turns on watch for dangers as the rest take rest. You've been lucky so far that all you've had to worry about are low ceilings. You hope your luck continues to hold out.
The ceiling of the passage lowers dramatically and catches all of you off guard! Elmo and Stool both stand tall, with Elmo tilting his head just slightly to the left, completely missing any danger from the low clearance. Gremryl and Hemeth quickly duck underneath some of the tiny stalactites that would have clipped their Dwarven skulls. Morgana having her wing healed just moments ago takes flight, then instantly regrets that decision as she crashes yet again into the ceiling, injuring her other wing this time, and taking 4 bludgeoning damage. Glabbagool squeezes himself down to effectively clear the low ceiling.
Just as the passageway begins to open back up again, a scuffling sound is heard from above. Before anyone can react, a medium-sized creature falls from the ceiling and you now find yourselves face to face with what can best be described as a large brain, with a dangerous looking beak, floating atop cruel tentacles that end in vicious barbs!
It catches you all by surprise and will take action first. Roll for initiative!
“Ungrateful dwarven prick... “ Gremryl mumbles under his breath....
“How long has ye family been in there city? So ye be having scrolls on me clan?” He says to Hemeth.

Gremryl is also impressed by Elmo’s display.
He turns to Hemeth:
”Aye, he’s a scamp..that reminds me.. that headlock you got me in when we first met. A good move indeed! I’ve heard of the duergar wrestling and martial art style! I’d like to learn from ye. “Morgana ye want me to heal that wing of yours lass?”
"Yes please. I want to get aifrborn again. I don't like the idea of all of us being concentrated like sitting ducks on this boat."
Gremryl will cast ‘lay on Hands’ which is a divine action restoring the 5hp.

It does not, however. The clearance of the cave passage lowers suddenly to 3 feet above the water's surface.
Each of you except Elmo (due to his small size) must roll a DEX saving throw!
