Rhogash, thinking it odd to see so many footprints in an area where there are supposed to be no survivors, quietly says to those in the party nearest him (while trying not to be overheard by the elf woman),
"I've got a bad feeling about this. There seems to be far more people here than we anticipated, judging by these prints. We should be ready. I don't think things here are as she would have us believe."
His muscles tense as he prepares to draw his sword and shield at any moment.
Valen picks up on Rhogash's warning as he takes note of the change in destruction from elemental to man-made. "Agreed," he whispers, "keep you eyes open and shields close. If they attack, I say we stay close and charge the mansion. We can rally in there and assess." Valen still holds his axe hidden behind his shield, pulls his shield arm close to his side and stays to the left to guard the flank. His other hand drifts down to his mace as he brings his prayer from before back to mind.

As soon as he spots the crossbowmen, Salleek draws his bow and prepares to fire at one of them. After a second, he changes his mind, thinking of a better target - the elf that had led them here - striking her would alert the others that something was off, and perhaps also distract the crossbowmen from their aim. His aim is true, striking her with deadly precision.

Vicril just stands around waiting for the woman to say something. His eyes seem to have a distant feel to them. He is not hearing what Valen is saying.
"Vicril my dear, Use your powers and cover our escape, My allies shall dispose of these insufferable fools—ahh!" The woman begins to move away before being pierced from an arrow out of nowhere, and then seemingly disappears, only to reappear thirty feet away. "We must move darling!"

[so Salleek's shot actually missed the elf lady? even though it was a crit?]
As soon as Rammen hears Valen's shout he springs in to action.
[if the elven lady is less than 50' from him he just runs up to her - if she's less than 100' then he uses his feline agility - move twice your speed during your movement - to reach her]
Rammen rushes towards the elven woman and tries to punch her
[Attack roll = 11+7 = 18 for 7 points of slashing damage (cat's claws) if this hits then I spend 1 ki point for flurry of blows which allows me to make 2 unarmed attacks as a bonus action FoB 1 = 18+7 = 25 for 9 points of slashing damage FoB 2 = 11+7 = 18 for 9 points of slashing damage If FoB hits then I force her to make a Dex saving throw or be knocked prone
The plan is to not deal lethal damage but to hold her captive if none of that hits - well then I think we're in trouble :P ]
As she finishes teleporting, Rammenchi in almost a blur of speed, quickly appears before landing two punches on the woman before sweeping her feet from under her. She is knocked unconscious.
(Sorry, must have missed that. Wisdom Saving Throw: 2-2=0)
"My vocation? I'm... simply a traveller, nothing noteworthy.", Vicril is a bit uneasy around the woman and stammering on his words.
Vicril follows the elven woman further into the ruins. He seems fascinated by the destruction wrought here.
Vicril, you are under the effects of the Spell Suggestion.
Rhogash: 22; you notice that the manor seems to have a lot of foot traffic, more than a simple woman would make.... Something is off.
As the rest of you enter the manor, Salleek, I'd like for you to make a perception check.
Salleek, on high alert since crossing the town border, doesn't let a single detail out of his sight.
[Perception check 24]

Rammen just keeps following the party.

Alrighty, so here's the initiative order as I have it.
So Rammenchi, you're up first.
[so Salleek's shot actually missed the elf lady? even though it was a crit?]
As soon as Rammen hears Valen's shout he springs in to action.

She does not save, and takes 25 points of damage.
As she finishes teleporting, Rammenchi in almost a blur of speed, quickly appears before landing two punches on the woman before sweeping her feet from under her. She is knocked unconscious.
