Reverie laughs once again as she watches Jack and Froskan, arguing towards the other. When Trimyrai asks about her condition, she shrugs a little. "I will be fine after using another cure spell. What about you, Trim? Do you need a healing potion?" Then she focuses on the stranger. "If you have a hard time to talk, then I suggest you relax for a bit." Or maybe they should bring him to the inn so he could have some food.

Reverie Forestgleam—Human Paladin Level 5 in Frontier City of Nunkreet Extremely busy and busy as ever recently, but I will trying to catch up as much as I can
The stranger's free hand glows with a soft, amber light. He touches it to his chest and his wounds heal, but only slightly. He stands about six feet tall and has a slim but muscular build. In his right hand he holds a long glaive, its long, sweeping blade making up about half of the overall length. The haft is made of a golden metal with a large, red ruby set into the pommel.
With a slight flex of his right arm, the glaive disappears in a whisp of purple smoke. He extends his hand to Jack saying, "Thank you, for the water. Its been...days...I am, Iskandar Khayon, but most just call me Isk. I was headed to Nunkreet by ship when these creatures attacked. They slaughtered most of the crew and passengers, then left me here as bait for passersby."
(OOC: With the site maintenance going on for a few hours, I'll get some things out of the way in this post.)
(Edit: Aha, the new 5th member of the party has spoke. Let me add onto his words...) The stranger is able to speak easier, now that he has had something to drink. "I would speak more, but let me check the ship first, before the incoming tide makes it difficult to reach." Reverie notices that Isk has 2 levels of exhaustion from lack of food, water, and sleep. He is well below maximum HP, but his state is only slightly worse than Jack & Reverie right now. He is moving slower (half speed), but stays in the shallow waters to reach the shipwreck.
The rest of you quickly check the ship. The holes in the side are the same size as the harpoons the merrow were using. The hull is covered with sword and spear slashes, and a lot of blood, both human(oid) and fish-like. Nothing of value can be found. There are no coins or bodies. The food stores have been scattered and fouled, the water casks shattered.
Isk goes as quickly as he can to a particular cabin. The room has been ransacked. He goes to a chair in the corner, feels underneath the seat, and has a relieved smile. He tugs on something, and you (whoever was watching/guarding him at the time) can see that a sack was tied in a hidden position. As it falls to the ground, you can hear the banging of some metal objects and clink of a few coins. A patch with a particular symbol (black wings on a field of deep crimson, with a golden, spiked halo) is glimpsed before he pushes it back in the sack. "Those beasts got everything else, but they missed my most precious belongings."
Your group and Isk make it back to the beach, and are sitting in the shelter of one of the trees at the edge of the forest.. Isk takes another sip from the Jack's flask of water.

Isk manages a smile and a weak, yet genuine, laugh at Jack's commentary on the predatory habits of Merrow and says, "Yes, they are bastards that way!"
"No, it was not my ship. I had just booked passage to Nunkreet after a pretty interesting several months. We can discuss more of that, perhaps over ales. Do you have a taste for ales? Gods, I could sure use one right now." Isk shakes his head as if suddenly remembering something.
"That will have to wait though, please, there were three other survivors. If we can find and help them, we must. There was a third Merrow-like creature that attacked us, we should be ready for another fight."
Reverie frowns as she listens to this man named Iskandar. If there is a third Merrow-like creature, then they must prepare for good. Pulling out a healing potion, she hands it over to Iskandar. "You probably need it then. Save your spell just in case." Then she turns around to Jack, cast Cure wounds on him. "Let's go find them then. We won't have enough time if it is true."

Reverie Forestgleam—Human Paladin Level 5 in Frontier City of Nunkreet Extremely busy and busy as ever recently, but I will trying to catch up as much as I can
(OOC: I want to make sure I didn't miss any healing. Since the end of combat, Isk used his racial ability to heal himself for 3, Reverie healed Jack for 4, and Reverie handed Isk a healing potion which he hasn't drunk yet... Have I missed anything?)
As the group is talking about more Merrows, Trimyrai notices a lot of shadows under the waves, moving toward your beach. As he points to them and gets the group ready for combat, a dolphin leaps over the top of the water, followed by several more. Then half a dozen heads break the surface. Rather than the demonic eel-like oversized heads of Merrows, these are Merfolk. They are carrying spears, but are not threatening to use them.
The leader of that group gives a short click-whistle towards your party. Jack responds with the same noise/greeting. Realizing this is the Aquan language, Reverie activates her helmet, and will translate what is being said to the rest of the party. (The helmet will not allow her to speak Aquan, even though she can understand hearing it. Other party members can still speak up, but in game-terms, Jack is passing along anything that is mentioned.)
The merfolk group stops at the water's edge, so they are yelling (in Aquan) from 30' away. The leader points to the slashed Merrow bodies floating further out in the bay. "Are you land-beings responsible for that?"

“No. That was a group of Merrow. Those evil beings apparently attacked this mans ship.” Jack points towards his new friend. “My name is Jack. That is Trim. That’s Reverie, the one with the helmet. The Dragonman is Froskan, and this guy is... I forget. Call him.... Isk? Is that it? I think that’s it. Who are you?”
The merfolk leader speaks: "My name is Vordat. I'm the leader of this fighting squad." (looks confused) "You say that a group of Merrow killed those 2 Merrow out there?"

Vordat looks relieved. "Good, those were vile beings. But sometimes humans and goblins and other land creatures aid them. We wanted to be sure if you were their allies or their foes. And powerful ones, to be able to destroy a reef shark so thoroughly that only its severed head is left behind!
"We follow Our Lady of Silver, Selune the goddess of the moon and the tides. We fight the evils of the sea, and welcome those who strike down the cruel Merrow."
"We have need of powerful friends this evening. Will you listen to our plea? Whether you accept or refuse, let us aid you." He looks over your party, and notices that Reverie and Isk are the most wounded. Vordat holds out two palm-sized fish bladders. "Have those two drink from these. Be assured, the holy waters of Selune are a balm to their hurts."

OoC - A little time travel in my post...first, when Reverie hands Isk the healing potion
Isk takes the healing potion with a slight bow, "Thank you, Reverie is it? You have a familiar look, not that we have met before..." He snaps his finger, "Maybe a relative, what is your family name?"
OoC - Now with the merfolk
Isk takes the offered fish bladder, again with a slight bow, "Thank you." he says and swirls the liquid inside before taking a sniff of it. (Insight on if what they are saying about it being a healing fluid is true: 16 ) He continues sayings, "There were three others of my ship that were sparred the immediate murdering of the Merrow, have you seen them or have any idea where they might have been taken?"
Watching Isk bowing slightly and mentions she has a familiar look to him, she blinks her eyes in a bit confusion. "Huh, that's interesting," she mumbles, "My family name is Forestgleam... Sorry, but how am I having a familiar look for you while we both know that we haven't met before?" Of course, there is a smile and amazement within her face, but she just couldn't rid of her suspicious thought towards him now.
Reverie couldn't believe that she understands what this language is and what they were talking about. She looks back at Jack when he calls her name and then grabs the holy waters of Selune. "Thank you," she replies to the merrow name, Vordat. Then she looks down on the fish bladder for a second before she drinks them.
