Reverie hums, “We could take another job for the future references.” She says as she looks at Isk and Trim. “Meanwhile how about we ask to see the officials also? Maybe, at least, we could ask them some question and we could get some hint. Going into the Bane church could be great and yet I don’t know if it is safe.”
(Edit: I just saw the other post before me. If Reverie could get information while wondering around that is good too c:)
Reverie Forestgleam—Human Paladin Level 5 in Frontier City of Nunkreet Extremely busy and busy as ever recently, but I will trying to catch up as much as I can
While the group discusses what to do while waiting for the IG to track Trim's villagers, the consensus is to get another (paying) job in the Pit, and to find some researchers to look into the Frostgleam scimitar that Reverie wields. This message is passed to Marion and Sallah the next morning (19th of Winter Firstmoon), and later that afternoon you receive a reply by messenger. They are willing to hire you for another all-day visit to the Pit on the 20th, and they are trying to get a weapon historian involved.
(Question: Do you spend 90 GP to have Remove Curse cast on Reverie on the morning of the 20th? That will avoid her going berserk if she is injured, but it is expensive. If you agree, I'll subtract it from your earnings for the trip.
And let me know if you would like to do any shopping on the 19th.
If you are looking for healing potions, each person has the option of buying one greater healing potion (4d4+4 HP) for 100 GP. Take care of your own inventory and money if you want to buy this.)

Looking for a new game, if you need a player private message me.
(Reverie would like to remove the curse all by herself when the time is right and it is expensive but she will give it a try to remove the curse once with the researchers, just to see how it goes and she shall pay the price also c: )
Reverie nods at Trim as an agreement with his opinion. Then she looks at Jack and Froskan as she talks to all of her friends. ”It is a bit out of topic but never know if we can build the house for our group but that idea does tempting me quite while.”
Reverie Forestgleam—Human Paladin Level 5 in Frontier City of Nunkreet Extremely busy and busy as ever recently, but I will trying to catch up as much as I can
(OOC: To be clear, the scimitar curse is not standard. Normally, if you cast Remove Curse, the cursed weapon can be un-attuned and gotten rid of. In Reverie's case, the spell means she won't go berserk for the next 24 hours. She still can't get rid of the weapon, or use it to its full potential. After the 24 hours, the curse resumes like normal.)
On the morning of the 20th, Marion and Sallah greet you as they set up their Ropes of Climbing to enter the Pit. They have talked with a historian who specializes in ancient weapons, a gnome collector named Egg Chen. He will meet with Reverie and research her weapon, if a favor is done for him first. He has determined (through extensive investigation of records and many divination spells) that a hero's weapon from hundreds of years ago is below. He has determined the approximate location, but does not have the permission to travel below. If this weapon is recovered, he will help out Reverie as best he can with her problem.
(Sallah and Marion will operate under the same conditions as last time. Historical objects are theirs. Any money discovered is split evenly, after the party selects the best gem or jewelry. They will not be involved with any fights, and you can assume they are safe, unless the DM says differently.)

As they lead you into the Pit and the side passages, they tell you more about what you will be searching for.
"According to legend, almost 300 years ago, a hero named Nimrod and his squire traveled into the wilds. When they reached the coast, they summoned their magic boat and sailed into the ocean. They found a region unformed: an extension of Limbo that was connected to our world. After fighting demons and minions of Umberlee, they were able to tame the mass of Limbo, and created miles of land where there was none before. Forests and mountains and glades sprang up; new territory for their liege to control."
"However, they were slain by trolls before they could return to civilization. Their bodies were never found. Nimrod's weapon, some kind of mace or scepter, was gone as well... I'm not sure why Egg Chen would expect to find this weapon so far away from the ocean, and underneath a city, but he has given us a location to look. He couldn't be exact, as it was measured from the surface, but we are following tunnels heading downwards in that direction."
After more than an hour of traveling, the 10' wide tunnel you are in opens to a larger chamber, about 60' wide. There is a large column in middle of the chamber, a natural formation of rock that supports the ceiling (but also provides an obstacle if something is behind it). In the northeast corner is an opening in the ground. There is a horrible stench coming from that direction, like rotting skunk meat.
Iskander's glaive warns you all that danger is nearby. (Everyone roll for Initiative, and tell me if there are any precautions you want to take before combat starts.)
