DC15 con save or 4 damage and disadvantage if triggered.
Reverie moves to the left about 30 ft (staying in front of Froskan for good), and will wait until it comes out from a pillar. "If you are a friend, the come out! We won't hurt you. If you are an enemy who would attack us, then don't be a coward and come out already!"

A 4-ft-wide spherical blob floats out from behind a stalagmite. At a distance of 60', in the dim/dark lighting in the cavern, it is hard to see it in detail. But you can tell it has big eye in the center of the sphere, 6 stalks around the top of the globe, and 4 short tentacles at the bottom, near a tooth maw. At Reverie's challenge, it mutters something, but none of you understand its language.
For Iskander and Trimyrai only:
You have both spent time in the Underdark as part of your backgrounds. You can recognize the speech as Undercommon, but you don't have proficiency to understand the meaning.
The creatures emits rays of magical energy from 3 of the stalks on its head.
One misses the group entirely. It strikes a nearby man-sized stalagmite, breaking it from the ground and knocking it 10' away.
The second beam strikes Froskan's magic lantern. It goes out!
The third beam is aimed at Trimyrai. WIS save vs. DC 14 or he falls asleep: 4 Trim slumps to the ground, snoring.
After that, the party's Ready-ied actions can go.
Froskan unleashes his readied cantrip. CON save vs. DC 15: 18 The blast of cold misses the creature.
Reverie has the option of firing her crossbow, or activating her helmet (if she wants to understand what it is muttering)
Jack has the option of throwing his Boom-erang, casting Vicious Mockery, or shaking Trimyrai awake.
The creature is 60' west of the party, except for Reverie who is 30' away from the party and the creature (in the middle). Since Froskan's lantern has gone dark, you have Disadvantage on attacks, unless you have enough range with your Darkvision . (You can see a darker shadow in the darkness to tell where it is, but the lack of lighting makes it difficult to aim attacks.)
Iskander and Trimyai are up. Trimyrai is asleep, so will lose his turn unless Jack or Iskander wake him up. After they go, it is the top of the next round, and Froskan, Reverie, and Jack can do their second round turns.

Can Isk (gently) kick Trim as a bonus action to wake him?
(It will require an Action, shaking him with both hands vigorously.
You can wait to have Isk go after Jack. He hasn't been on in a week. Let's give him another day, and if he is still AFK, I will have Jack will do the waking.)

Reverie Forestgleam—Human Paladin Level 5 in Frontier City of Nunkreet Extremely busy and busy as ever recently, but I will trying to catch up as much as I can
(Sorry for being so inactive. Just sort of lost energy to continue for a little bit. I’ll try to get better timing.)
Jack indeed will utilize Vicious Mockery to attack the Blob as a Readied Action! In order to combat the fact that the Blob may not speak Common, Jack says it in a nasty tone that would be recognizable in any language. “Ye missed, Blobby! You couldn’t hit someone’s Broad Side, if ye could even get in range, as they’d probably be sent running back just from that maw of yours!” Each word laced with an enchantment, that spell should be able to do something to it, hopefully.
(DC 15 Wisdom save, or 4 Psychic Damage, and disadvantage on the next attack.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(No worries about Jack's low energy. I've been feeling a little guilty about my low energy as well.)
Froskan's cantrip for Light will have to wait for round 2.
For Reverie only:
Since you are using an Action to get information, I'll let you identify a bit more about this creature. It is a Gauth, one of the variants of a beholder. Not as dangerous as a beholder, but can still be trouble with it's various eye-rays. "Finally, magic to eat. No more Flail Snails, with their slimey flesh and negating magic. Die, creatures, and become my food."
Does Jack's cantrip work? WIS save: 6 The thing cannot understand Jack's words, but it seems to grasp that it is being insulted. From the way it is raging, it is intelligent, egotistical, and takes the 4 psychic damage. (If any of the eye-rays require a to-hit roll, it will be with disadvantage.)
Iskander: Right now Trimyrai is asleep. Do you wake him up (allowing him to do a round 1 action), or something else? Isk has 60' darkvision, so he could make a normal ranged attack, despite the lack of light.

Trimyrai is prone, but now awake. He can act in round 1. (He also has 60' darkvision, so can do ranged attacks normally.)
After Trim is done, round 2 will start, with Froskan, Reverie, and Jack on deck.
