Trim's first arrow strikes solidly. The second arrow deflects off the hide of the creature (AC 15).
Start of round 2.
Reverie is 30' west of the rest of the party. The creature is 30' west of Reverie, 60' west of everyone else. Froskan's magic lantern went out when it was struck by one of the creature's rays.
A floating 4' sphere with eye-beam rays... It is not a beholder, but you can guess it is similar type of creature. (It has taken 17 damage, from Jack's mockery and Trim's arrow.)
I'll need some more information:
Froskan: Light only has dim light to 40', and the creature is 60' away. Will Froskan move closer, to illuminate the foe for the others?
Reverie: can only fire 1 crossbow bolt a round, due to the Reloading property. However, you are within 30', so you could close to melee range if you wanted to attack with the magic scimitar
Froskan, Reverie, and Jack are up. (Froskan and Reverie can change their actions, if something else came to mind.) After that, the creature goes, then Iskander and Trimyrai.

Should I still do that, or are you guys more determined to do your actions and I should do something else? Just checking with you guys, since we should probably cooperate our efforts- a Beholder’s supposed to be really powerful, and this thing looks like a mini-beholder, lol.)
Need clarification if Reverie wants to use her crossbow (1 attack only), or move to melee and use the scimitar (2 attacks with magic scimitar). Then Jack's choices.)

Froskan casts Light, and gets close enough to the beholder-offshoot so it can be seen. (Fewer eyestalks and smaller than a beholder, but still big and ugly.) However, a few seconds later, his magic lantern flickers and lights up again. (The creature's anti-magic ray lasts for 1 round on permanent magic items.)
Reverie closes on the creature. The first strike deflects off its hide, but the second cuts through.
The Gauth (inferior beholder-like creature) attacks, glaring at Reverie with its central eye, and firing 3 beams from the eye-stalks.
The central eye will stun Reverie next round, unless she makes a DC 14 WIS save.
The Devour Magic Ray strikes Reverie's scimitar. It acts like a normal scimitar for her next turn... She is surprised how quiet it seems, without the emotions and magic presence she normally senses from the weapon.
The Enervation Ray is aimed at Trimyrai. Roll a DC 14 CON saving throw. 18 necrotic damage, halved if save is made.
The Fire Ray is aimed at Iskander. Roll a DC 14 DEX save. 22 fire damage, zero if save is made.
Jack goes next, then Iskander and Trimyrai. (When they are done, the round is over, and we start round 3.)

Jack, as everyone proceeds to gang up on the enemy, will attempt to throw his Boom-erang. Whether he hits or not, he’ll then get closer to prepare for close-combat (not entirely sure how far I am atm- Jack would prefer getting behind it or beside it, if possible.)
Quiet Boom-Erang Attack: 11 Damage: 5
While he’s at it, Isk happens to note that Jack’s actions fill him with a sudden courage. He’s filled with Bardic Inspiration!
(Quasimodal, that reads ‘3 Beams’, but you sent 4- was that intended?)
(A Gauth has a big central eye, and 6 eyestalks. It fires 3 rays randomly from the stalks, but the central eye has a non-ray stunning ability when someone is close enough to look it in the eye.)
Jack's boomerang misses, but he smoothly catches it as he moves 30' closer.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Trimyrai avoids the worst of the Enervating Ray, but still takes 9 necrotic damage. Iskander is is struck full by the Heat Ray, and takes 22 fire damage.
Trimyrai hits with both arrows (16 damage). Iskander is upset from the heat ray, and casts a hex, and fires off 2 eldritch blasts. The first uses Jack's inspiration for a direct hit of 35 damage (!), and the second for 12.
The gauth shudders and shakes. The body starts to glow from the magical energy it consumes, then inflates like a balloon, before exploding. It's death throe causes damage in a 10' radius, which affects Reverie. DEX save vs. DC 14 to halve damage: 18 (Reverie takes 6 force damage, since the save is made.)
------
Reverie is getting overly upset about that exploding damage. As the magic scimitar comes back to "life" (anti-magic ray wearing off), she realizes that Isk's Remove Curse was dispelled. She is still under control right now, but if she takes more damage, she will need to make WIS saves to avoid the berserker curse.
Everyone can hear the humanoid angry growling from the east is getting louder, almost upon you. There is a loud animal wailing noise that echoes through the caverns (like a smoke detector alarm going off), but it is silenced a few seconds later.
----
Start of a new round (still in combat)
Jack, Froskan, Iskander, and Jack are near each other. Reverie is 30' west of them, and Trimyrai is 30' east of them. Froskan's lantern is active again. (He is also glowing from the Light cantrip, but that requires an action to dismiss.)
