Reverie chuckles at Trimyrai's words. "Sounds like a plan," she says before she gazes back at Iskandar, thinking for a moment. "... But he mentions about the peas in this journal..." A pause before she would shake her head. "First of all, we really should take some rest after getting a reward. I want to be free from my armor."

Reverie Forestgleam—Human Paladin Level 5 in Frontier City of Nunkreet Extremely busy and busy as ever recently, but I will trying to catch up as much as I can
Your group makes it back to the Watchful Guild, and return the front door key and the journal to Noam. He takes notes as you report what happened at the house, and that it is now clear of enemies. Noam will handle the rest of the deal with the Diamondbrook family, so your party won't have to deal with them. (When your group mentions that Adram was more than a bit batty, Noam mutters something about the apple not falling far from the tree.) You should be getting your reward (a wand of the war mage) by the 3rd (last day of the Festival).
Your party heads back to the Portly Warthog to clean up, get a warm meal, and more sleep. The streets are busier than normal with food carts and traveling merchants from out of town. The inn is completely full, with people arriving for the start of the Festival tomorrow. Gerdy (the day manager) mentions (in her usual loud voice) that you'll want to be at the tallest hill south of the river just before noon tomorrow.
(Let me know if there is anything you'd like to do for the rest of the day... If it is limited to resting and chit-chat with the other people at the inn, then I'll push ahead to the following morning.)

(Most of the material is laughable. The writing would be similar to National Enquirer articles on bigfoot and aliens, or a Cliff's Notes version of hard science... Jack's safest bet is to reach 9th level, so he has access to Greater Restoration... The one useful bit that he has read is this (copied from the Monster Manual): "Some alchemists are said to know how to process the basilisk’s gullet and the fluids contained within. Properly handled, the gullet produces an oil that can return petrified creatures to flesh and life." That was part of the reason why Adram was experimenting with the basilisks in the house.)

Reverie Forestgleam—Human Paladin Level 5 in Frontier City of Nunkreet Extremely busy and busy as ever recently, but I will trying to catch up as much as I can
Your party takes extra time to clean up, get a decent lunch, and take a nap on soft beds. (The long rest, on a kitchen floor covered with stone dust and smelling of dead basilisks, was not so pleasant.) You spend the rest of the afternoon doing maintenance on your armor and equipment, since you are not planning on using it during the 3 days of the festival.
You head down to the dinning room, and are fortunate enough to get a table with enough chairs. The place is packed. There are at least 2 things you may want to discuss during dinner & ales (or not, your choice):
There are a few travelers from other villages near the Squall Mountains, but you notice that none of them are from Trimyrai's village.
Reverie and Iskander had postponed talking about the 300-year old map found in the Diamondbrook house. (The post with the map is linked on the Campaign Page.)

Reverie sits on a chair, having dinner and thinking deeply about the map. "About the map," she says after a sip of ale, "Have you find anything interesting on it? The map itself is 300 years old."

"Aye, there was one thing interesting about this map. " Isk says as he fishes through his things before finding the map and laying it out on the table. "Here you can see the Evergreen River, and, here the land north of the bay is there, but look, " He says and points a finger south of the river, near the map edge,"the bay itself and the land south of the bay, its missing. its just ocean there. It is the edge of the map, so maybe the mapmaker didn't have all the information, but still..." he says, tapping his chin, "..it is curious that a feature so large, and so near the Diamondbrook house would be missing."
Trimyrai: (to the party) "That could mean alot of things. the map maker might not have actual explored the area, or it could mean that there is something there they don't want people to find."

Reverie hums as she scans the map with the explanation from Iskandar. "That is a good point," she mutters, looking at Iskandar and then Trimyrai, "Adram has been very secretive and researched to make his bride from a statue. It could be true about the mapmaker didn't put detail in purpose. However, I'm more curious about why he had to have this map. His family also thought that he was dead since he wasn't quite the one who enjoys the outside."

(If it makes any difference, that area marked "ocean" is the Brokentooth Forest and south of that. You've been there for Pyrick and the harpies, the south side of the forest for the raptors and the manticore, and the city of Nunkreet... There may be other abnormalities on that map, if it is compared to other maps you've already seen, but this was the obvious one.)
