Salleek: (to "the helmed one") "How fascinating, you register all your citizens? how would you manage to keep track of it all? is it a small population?"

"You can ask your questions once you're with the captain." The helmed one tells the group. "Let's just... get a move on." The guards seem to move around the group, making the loose corners of a box about the group to escort them onwards towards the guard barracks.
Headed down to the guard barracks there is a sturdy stone building. Unlike the others, it is made of cobbled stones rather than the smooth walls that the other buildings are. There appears to be two large metal doors at the entrance, which the helmed guard goes up to and opens. "Inside." He says to everyone, leading them in.
The floor is a dark varnished oak with a crimson rug just ahead with a golden octagon shape sewn into it. The heat of the open fire within the place embraces the party as they arrive, with a large cork board above it holding several sheets of paper with sketches of people upon it. There are several other guards within the room, sitting around a couple of smaller tables and entertaining themselves. "This way." The helmed guard gestures to the party to follow through the doorway at the back of the room.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Aurhook takes a moment to glance around the room for any valuables , check the poster board to look for any familiar faces, and plan possible escape routes
"Hey, not everyone can be as a good person as you are" M'orron tells Kysdove "Don't worry about it, I'm sure the captain will be friendly" He adds with a smile
There doesn't appear to be any major exits, as the windows appear to have metal bars on the exterior, and there was only one door that leads outside.
Following through into the next room the group finds a small office has been set up. There is a desk and a series of chairs in the room, as if used for informal meetings. Seated at the desk is a halfling in heavy armour, covering his body save for his face which shows some burns on the right side and some scars along his cheek.
"So, you're awake." The halfling says, gesturing for the group to take a seat. "Took you long enough. I guess we should start with introductions. The name's Captain Austar." He nods to the guard with the helmet, dismissing him as he closes the door behind them so they can talk in private. He then continues, "...and from what I gather, you're not from this district, are you?"
"Nice to meet you captain Austar. We are indeed not from around." M'orron responds. "We all have met each other in the hospital and have never seen eachother before. I can't recall ever been to this city either."
"Do you perhaps have any more information about the state you found us in? I'm curious because the last thing I know was going to sleep and then I woke up, freshly scarred and no memories from what happend before."
Captain Austar glances to each person as they speak. "Please, we'll get around to answers in due time. As an official of this district, and you apparently not being from around these parts, I can register you as citizens. Those who aren't citizens are not under the protection of The Eight Lords, so I advise just filling out the information."
The halfling goes into a drawer within the desk and retrieves a series of papers, placing them on the table alongside and inkwell and quill. He gestures for each of you to look at the citizenship form and fill it in. "As for when we found you, there isn't much to say on the matter. It looked like a bloodbath, we thought you were all dead before we even got there. However, you were all breathing, despite looking like you had been flayed and grated by a thousand blades."
The piece of paper appears to be a basic sheet asking for some background information; name, age, gender, race, skillset, income, place of birth, and district.
Captain Austar sighs, "Then unfortunately I cannot answer your questions." He tells the group. "Nor can I offer you shelter or protection anymore. You will have to leave."
"So you just treat all your city's visitors as such?" Aurhook responds "how inhospitable"
"No worries though friend" Aurhook says sharply "we were already on our way there"
Kysdove side eyes Aurhook and approaches the guards, "Hi, I'm Kysdove. Nice to meet you."
"No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow"
"No power in the 'verse can stop me"

Kysdove basically frowns to herself the entire time since she got no introductions. She pauses by the board to take a look at the faces.

Aurhook declines the form saying "I'd rather not be a citizen of a place unknown to me"
"Then I can help you no further." Captain Austar tells Aurhook. "My duty is to the citizens of this district, and I'm bound to that service."
M'orron looks at the paper "This is quite a lot of info that you want. Isn't there a visitor version, because I don't plan on staying"
Ilin (Water Genisi - Tempest priest) - Sorrow
M'orron (Eladrin - Wizard) - City of sorrow
"Yeah, I think we're all fine with our current citizenships." Aurhook responds to the Captain "I'm not one to be muscled into something like this."
Captain Austar sighs, "Then unfortunately I cannot answer your questions." He tells the group. "Nor can I offer you shelter or protection anymore. You will have to leave."
Aurhook begins to head out the door and says "Fine arsehole, we don't need your bureaucracy"
