Kysdove frowns, "Really?" she asks to everyone, "That's it? We don't sign your papers and therefore no help at all? Not even information?" she looks to Aurhook, "And you.. seriously rude. I mean he is being a dink but honestly."

"What Kysdove?" Aurhook replies "Just sit there and take his patronizing, bureaucratic bullshit. We don't need him, we can figure this all out on our own"

"It's the law." Captain Austar explains. "Our resources are run thin, so it is an arrestable offence to aid and abet non-citizens. Technically I can be court-marshalled for taking you to The Hospital." He skims through the papers Salleek and M'orron pass back. He reaches for the quill and applies a signature before taking a piece of sealing wax from his desk and holding it over a lit candle, allowing some to drop onto the paper before sealing it. "Very well, Salleek and M'orron, as citizens of District Six, it is my solemn duty to answer question you may have about the city."
Captain Auster looks to Kysdove and Aurhook and frowns slightly, then leans in to attempt to speak more privately. It is obvious he is attempting to not let them listen in, but not making too much of an effort that they won't be able to. "You really don't know anything about this, do you? The fog has been covering the entire region for near of a decade now. Anyone who attempts to leave the city is never seen again. People are found lying dead from time to time, ravaged by something mysterious. We have accounts of people seeing figures following them in the fog, but we haven't managed to catch or detain anything so far. Trying to catch something in the fog that seems to be gaseous isn't really that simple. The Eight Lords have put strict laws into control to ensure that while this bane is upon us we can ensure the safety of the citizens as well as have enough food and provisions to survive for as long as possible. To answer your question, yes we know about the gas monsters. We don't, however, know enough to eradicate them and stop them from causing hazards to our town. The wizards in District 4 helped ward some of the major buildings, meaning that they are much less likely to appear near them. However, there isn't much else I can report on beyond that."
"Salleek, ask him about what leads they have" Aurhook asks "What alleyway were we found in, if the fog thickens or dissipates for any reason, and if there are any other victims we can speak to."
Salleek: (to Captain Austar) "I have a few more questions for you Captain, are there any leads as to who is responsible for this fog? Where in the city were we found? Has the fog thickened or thinned at all? and have any other victims been found like we have?"

"Before I continue, there are a couple of things." Captain Austar says. "For those who have not attained citizenship, I will have to ask you to leave now as our business has concluded. For those who have signed the papers, please slip this ring on for just a minute. It leaves a small mark on your ring finger to let people know you are citizens of District 6 and will be able to be treated and assisted by The Eight Lords' syndicate." The captain holds out a simple silver ring with a number six engraved onto its side.
M'orron notes that there is a faint mark of a number 6 upon that finger. It doesn't look like a scar, nor a tattoo or pressure mark. It is almost like it is something else. It doesn't feel sore, it is just there.
Aurhook waits outside the door "Y'all have fun in there citizens" he says smugly as he closes the door behind him and attempts to eavesdrop on what's being said.
Aurhook leaves the Captain's office and then attempts to listen in at the door. The other guards within the room just give him a stare before a couple wander over. "We're gonna have to ask you to leave." They inform Aurhook.

He takes the ring and slip it on
Ilin (Water Genisi - Tempest priest) - Sorrow
M'orron (Eladrin - Wizard) - City of sorrow
M'orron places the ring on. It feels slightly uncomfortable, a light itch on the skin as it sits there. After a moment it stops itching.
"Once these two have vacated, we can continue our questions." Captain Austar informs M'orron.
After the itching is gone M'orron gives the ring back and turns around "Common guys sign the papers, answers will be rewarding"
