John takes the copper pieces, and puts the used arrow back into his set. John looks back at his party with a grim face and says, "Sorry I killed him, but he attacked my allies and I'm NOT going to let my party members get harmed."
While failing in an EPIC fashion at helping Lumin, John thinks to himself, (I seriously hope these guys don't hate me for this. It was self defense, and I don't want them to think I'm some savage murderer"
John looks at Stan and states, "No, I am the one who overstayed his welcome here. This is all my fault. Where do we go from here?". John clearly regrets his actions and seems to be dealing with a bit of inner guilt despite his confidence during the fight.
Stan eyes John, seeing his turmoil. "We all have a hand to play in life & never know what the cards hold for us. We all pay to play in the end, my friend. It was their time to pay up. Better them then me."
John looks at Stan, and is grateful that at least one person doesn’t hate him. “Thank you friend, I hope you’re right. Pity that they had to die”.John yells for the team to listen to him. “Hey guys, the innkeeper mentioned 3 fishermen disappearing on the ocean without a Trace. Seems like something we should look into. What do you guys think?”
While everyone is looking for loot and equipment, Conrad has slipped back into the inn and resuming his breakfast, hoping to disassociate himself from the fight.
Stan looks at those remaining near the fight scene and says, "Their friends will talk. We will need to tread lightly & be prepared to high tail it out of here at a moment's notice." With that said, Stan makes his way back to the inn. Perhaps his luck will turn with some cards.
After resting up, John goes downstairs and decides to sit down at the bar and asks the innkeeper's wife, "May I please have a couple of beers and some venison, please? I got a lot of crap on my mind right now.".
