None of your attacks seem to be slowing or even hurting the titanic horror. A massive tentacle levels a building, whistling dangerously close to your heads. The chaos around you continues unabated.

Grungle, at the sight of the slimy giant, begins screaming for everyone to run into the forest as he takes cover and observes the creature to find a weakness.
Stan says as he is jogging away from the ruin of Byting, "Yea. What Hubert said!" Stan eventually stops well into the forest line to catch his breath. "Well gents! I think we just saw what brought the ship to shore. I vote that we find someplace more hospitable & damn quick."
Leo stood watching the creature until Stan propelled him backwards a bit. Taking off with the others toward the forest, Leo glanced back at the horrifying creature. As everyone discussed running, Leo remained silent. Finally, he spoke. "I want to help, but I... I can't. Not as long as that thing is there." Facing the village, Leo declared, "I'll come with you all. We can't win, and we have to cut our loss. But I want to be able to win the next time something like this arises. I want to get stronger. I want us all to get stronger, because I can't do that alone." He looked back at the party. "Sound good?"
In the shelter of the majestic trees, the ruin and chaos of the town behind you seems a distant dream. A chill breeze rustles the branches of the pines and bites through your cloaks. The cold moon illuminates the peaceful wildlife scene around you.
If it weren't for the massive tentacled horror still visible in the distance you might be able to fool yourself into a feeling of serenity.

"Keep your eyes up, I really don't wanna deal with anything else like those things and im already injured as all hell" I say while looking to see if I notice anything goin towards us.
Stan looks at his ragtag fellows. "I suggest we keep moving. I'd prefer to put as much distance between myself and whatever the hell that monstrosity was.", Stan says. His eyes betray a hint of panic. "Is everyone here and able to travel? How are we on supplies?"
"I still have all my things. I wasn't able to put anything down before those fish thing showed up," Leo said as he rifled through his things. "I'd prefer to have more medical supplies, but that's not entirely an option. And my dagger is over by the giant creature, so there's that."
Stan says, "I have all my gear from the beach campsite. We can supplement what we need by hunting. We can also help gather any herbs you can use as well; but we need to be moving soon."
