Ellayne frowns as she hears the guard’s words against Jebben, which it made her frustrated even more. ”Does it really the only duty that the guards are doing it? As far as I know, the guards are supposed to help the fallen one, protection, and finds out what happened!” Her mismatched eyes stare at the guard who asked about people in the room. ”The father and the little girl. Of course, my friend is there also to save them. The girl is the daughter of the Lady Hawksong, and currently, we can not find her anywhere. Her father Zachary died by the attack, and we were trying to save them. Thank you for your cooperation.”

Vostaria tries to bandage Dorstaer, but the stench of the creature lying next to him is foul and rotten, putting you off as that bandage doesn't hold. The blood from Dorstaer is now seeping through the floorboards, and Jebben can see a pool being created in the ceiling above.
The rear Guard walks down the staircase, eyes on Jebben as he goes toward the bar. He speaks to the bar-man in hushed tones, looking over to Jebben.
The other two Guards lower their manacles. "I think this is above our pay grade. Will you come with us to the Bailiff? He will probably want to speak to you as this involves a noble and some quite serious charges. If you don't, i'm afraid we will have to issue a warrant for your arrest... and there are some nasty bounty hunters in this city."
Jebben offers a look of resignation to the guards. Then he glances up the stairs and says out loud, "Ms. Ellayne!" When she turns to him, the gnome gives her a surreptitious wink, sheaths his dagger, then sweeps his hand across his bagpipes as he moves both hands forward, wrists exposed. In the same motion he points a single finger up the stairs, and whispers something under his breath.
"Well, well, bucket, and well," he says firmly to the guards, shaking his wrists at them. "Here you are, then. Let it not be said that I, Jebben Carmenfolly Knickelwort, of the illustrious Upon the Worldly Stage, fear the law in any land. But trust you me when I tell you this: when The Stage gets word of how you treat their esteemed emissaries in the New World, you'll have the most influential bards of Faerun spreading word all across the land about your despicable acts against innocents."

Bardic Inspiration: As a bonus action, a creature within 60 ft. that can hear you gains an inspiration die (1d6). For 10 minutes, the creature can add it to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw. This can be added after seeing the roll, but before knowing the outcome.

Ellayne frowns as soon as she listens to the guards about the bounty hunters. A curse escapes from under her breathe and she gazes back at her companions who are helping out Dorstaer. This doesn't look good after all, however, they have to escape from this place as soon as they could. Then she flinches when her ears caught the voice of Jebben, which leads her gaze shifting to downstairs. Witnessing his wink causes her blinks in confusion and yet, she then gets a message from him, realizing he was distracting the guards. While the guards are standing before her, asking her and her companions to cooperative with them, she needs to do something.
"No worries," she replies to the guards. "We will follow you after my friend gets treatment downstairs for a while, and then I will inform you at the outside of the tavern once everything seems to settle. I promise that we will visit and discuss with Bailiff about this event and I would love to do so. Therefore, if you could, will all of you to stand outside of this tavern while we solve this situation?"

The Guard sighs. "I think we can do that for you. We will wait outside whilst you attend to your friend. When you're ready, come outside and we will take you there."
The two guards on the stairs turn around, walk down the stairs and hold the door open. The guard by the bar leads them all outside, and the door closes behind them.

Wander will check over Dorstaer this time as they try to stabalize him, hoping to at least stopmthe bleeding. While not exactly sure how to help a organic being in this condition he figures he can try to help.
Jebben's jaw hangs open in disbelief, wrists still extended, as the guards turn and walk out the door. He rushes up the stairs. "Well done, Ms. Ellayne, well done!" he whispers with a sly half-smile as he passes her.
He stops in horror, his smile evaporating, when he gets a glimpse of the room. "Oh, Dorstair!" he cries. The gnome drops his pack and bagpipes in the hallway, then rushes to the half-elf's side, broken plates crunching underfoot. "Does, by chance, someone have a healer's kit?" he says desperately as he drops to his knees next to the unconscious body. Cutting off a strip of his own shirt with his dagger, Jebben wipes the largest of the wounds clean of blood and debris. Then he wads the cloth up and presses it firmly into the bleeding laceration with both hands.
Everyone tries to bandage the wounded Dorstaer, but the bleeding is too much. The bite sunk into an artery. All manner of bandages have been placed over the wound, but none have so far worked successfully.
May I suggest one person making the check with one person using their action to help the character for advantage? I wouldn't normally do this but i'm not sure how new you are to playing and this is generally better for these kind of checks.

Ellayne sighs as soon as she sees the guards leaving the tavern but protecting from the outside. Never thought it would work but, thanks for Jebben's help, his inspiration has helped her greatly. When she witnesses Jebeen coming from the upstairs, she smiles in relief for briefly before she dashes into the room. "I am sorry. I do not have healer's kit..." She replies as her mismatched eyes gaze at her fallen friend in worry.

Vostaria gets out of the way for Ellayne but prepares to help her. She doesn't need it, though, as Ellayne spots the best stabilization technique and applies it with quick hands.
"Let us agree that if we have any one else join us that one of them is a healer of some sort." Wander says as he moved to guard the door. "Also if we are going to flee now is the best time."
(Note that I’m still unconscious, just stable, so if you flee, you better carry me with you! Someone might also check the room for any sign of what might have happened to the girl)

Jebben, who was just rushing down the hall to the stairs, pauses when he hears that Dorstaer has been stabilized. He returns to the room and stares inside for a moment, scratching his bare chin. Then he turns to the others. "We have a convoluted cadre of complications at our hands, my friends, and I think it beneficial if we efficiently address them in order of utmost urgency." The gnome begins walking around the room, searching. "Firstly and most pressing: though Dorstaer has been saved from the slavering jaws of death for the time being, he's by no means well, and won't be exhibiting any degree of agency any time soon without further healing or rest, neither of which we seem to have the liberty of providing at this moment."
"Secondly," the gnome gives a revolting look towards Zachary's remains, "we haven't the faintest fairy-fart of an idea--one of my favorite Addie-oms!--who, what, or why happened in here, and, well, it's a matter we might want to put on hold until our own well being is more confidently ensured, for we seem to be missing our marks at every scene since our arrival in The New World, and, well, to be honest, I think we might be using the wrong scripts, or there's the possibility we're in the wrong show altogether!"
The gnome pauses and looks to the group. "And, as if all that isn't bad enough, all of our good reputation was banked in a single person in The New World--that being the kind Minister Trask--which was altogether squandered by some sort of assassin when he, she, or they untimely stole the life of our only friend in the land. And now there are guards to take us in for the trouble in which we involved ourselves at The Hot Chip--though they mentioned nothing of Trask in their suspicions--and we must decide: do we trust ourselves to the government system here, which cages and slays its newly arrived citizens, or do we go out on the lam and hope for the best?"
Jebben scrunches his bushy eyebrows in thought, a quizzical look on his face. "Where's Barnum?"
Investigation: 11
Jebben is searching the room and Zackary's belongings for healer's kits or tonics or anything else that will further help get Dorstaer back on his feet. He'll be keeping an eye out for anything else that he thinks interesting or relevant to the situation, and if he sees his hat, he'll definitely be having that back. 😉

Jebben searches the room, although his rambling has put him at some disadvantage. Distracted, you all notice that he is only searching the top of the surfaces, and fails to look inside any draws, cupboards or chests. The corpse of Zackary is also somewhat distracting, and the smell is filling the corridor as well as the room now.
You all hear a loud knock on the door from downstairs and a muffled voice. "Hurry up you lot."

On searching the room, you find some creams and lotions on the sides, but not much else which could point you to the suspect of the abduction, or any clues as to where Annie has disappeared to.
