Lyreis sees Kyne amidst a knot of enemies and charges forward, takingthd steps three at a time. He flicks out a slash at a hobgoblin as he moves but all he succeeds in doing is forcing it to sway out of the way. He slides to a halt near the leader, alongside his elven comrade "You could have waited for me, share the fun a little." As he speaks he slashes again, cutting a wicked blow across the thigh of the hobgoblin "See how much easier it is as a team?"
Hurosk continues around the upper balcony, stalking his next target. The hunter's aura glows around one of the hobgoblins that is faced off against Kyne. The half-orc draws an arrow and fires. His shot pierces the armor and sinks into the back. He shoots again, but the second arrow skitters off its armor as the hobgoblin turns to find the source of the arrow protruding from its back.
Twirling his sword as he readies the next strike, Kyne visualises a single flame in his mind, allowing it to consume all distractions from the fight at hand into it until only a void remains. Pain, exhaustion, sound and heat dull to a distant ache and the dragonshard in Daedagnir's hilt flares brilliantly as flickering tongues coat the steel. Another slash across Kyne's front sends an arc of fire coarsing through the room and a hobgoblin crumples to the ground.
Shallan runs towards the baranda and fires a flamebolt towards one of the most injured hobgobling. The bolt impacts it on the chest sending it tumbling back a few steps.
Dworic standing above the warzone points his arm palm forward at the crowd steadying himself to take aim at the most opportune enemy. He sees the hobgoblin standing slouched next to Kyne with char marks all over his body. "Bes' tuh end his misery." the dwarf says to himself as he points at him and fires. Headshot, the hob head was evaporated clean off his body, there wasn't even blood spilt and the blast cauterized the wound left behind in an instant. "Quick and painless. I fhink?" As the gauntlet cools down he raises his other arm at the Hob in red at the center of the battle. He charges another shot and fires. Hit, directly on the shoulder, "Pro'bly notices me now heh."
Lyreis sees the enemy drop by his side, the dwarf with his strange armour claiming the kill. The battlemaster, throws himself forward in a roll tumbling between the leader of these hobgoblins and another of his men.
Coming up behind them both he pounces into combat with the leader, catching him with a vicious cut across the back of the knee, which drops his foe down onto the injured limb, the next slash is blocked, barely, the fear obvious in the hobgoblin's eyes. Lyreis reverses the weapon smoothly, and the blade cuts deep into the softer protection at the elbow drawing a scream from the creature.
Lyreis pushes himself harder, the next strike aiming to open the groin of the enemy who manages to interpose his weapon but cannot hold onto it. As it skitters away across the floor Lyreis is already turning away, looking for more foes, but the blade doesnt stop moving, swinging once more, arcing straight and true, taking the hobgoblin at the neck, the head tumbling from it's shoulders rolling off to land at Kyne's feet opposite his comrade.
"Don't say I never get you anything nice." Lyreis smiles, his blood still pounding, the adrenalin and the need for worthy foes consuming him, the sense heightened by the roiling storm that surrounds them all. "Is this the best you have?" He shouts out through the winds at the remaining enemy. "You are a waste of my time, where is your champion?"
With a roar of definace one of the hobgoblin tries to impale the elf that had just killed his leader. But the nimble Lyreis doesn't have a problem to dodge the clumsy attack.
The lighting strikes from the sphere conjured by Mazzia and one of the two warriors who was attacking her is struck by it. Taking advantage of this she stabs the hobgoblin in the heart who drops dead.
The other remaining hobgoblin tries to cut down the Lyrandar half-elf but she parries the attack with her own sword.
With the fall of their leader the line and eficiency of the hobgoblins falls and it seems that the party has the winning hand.
Hurosk casually strides around the balcony to get a clean on on the remaining foe below. A slight pang of guilt hits him as the clearly outmatched gang has easily fallen, but that subsides as the hobgoblin continues to fight to the end. The hunter draws his bow back and takes careful aim hoping to make the shot as quick and painless as possible. Without a word, he releases the arrow and it finds the base of the skull, severing the unwitting thug's spinal cord.
"I hope your people above has fared as well," he says to Mazzia as he makes his way down the steps. "This crew is out of their depths... or heights, as it seems to be." He chuckles at his own attempt at humor.
With a gesture of her hand the XO of the ship dismiss the raging storm that she had conjured inside the ship.
"I am confident that they are fine. "she says as she makes sure the wounded passenger is fine, as same as the others that start slowly walking back to the center of the room now that there is no magic storms or menacing monsters. "You are right, even as they seem to be prepared and well equipped this sounds more like a distraction that the real threat. I saw that juggernaut that you were able to stop, I guess that if you hadn't do it things could had turned differently. This has been well planned and they got us against the ropes, but this isn't over yet. Excuse me for a moment"
"We must hurry to the Elemental Chamber " she says after putting one of the crew members in charge of the situation at the broken casino.
"This way"
She leads the group towards the other double doors at the other side of the baranda and trhough some wooden corridors until they descend to what they assume is the lower deck of the airship.
"There" she points to a closed wooden door with red letters painted on it "NO TRESSPASSING" above it there is a strange arcane symbol. "It's right there, the Chamber of the Fire Elemental."
Seb'riel eyes the door with curiosity. "This I would very much like to see." She claps her hands together in excitement and waits for someone to lead the way through the door.
Seeing that they appear to have been successful in saving as many of the hostages as possible, Kyne hurries after Mazzia, blade still in hand. It was clear that the hobgoblins were merely a distraction and he has saved much of his power for this moment. When they reach the entrance to the chamber of the fire elemental, the sorcerer closes his eyes for a moment and reaches out with his inner sense for all things fire to feel what lies on the far side.
Reaching out, letting the magic that flows in his veins to guide his conscience, Kyne feels a great power at the other side of the door and walls. Bigger than he had ever experienced. His own heart start to race due to the excitement, the pure raw power that lies there. But there's something more, it's hurting, something or someone is causing pain to it, slowly, deliberately, but it's increasing each passing moment. The power seems dormant, but the pain is waking it, fueling its anger and when it explodes... all will explode with it and be consumed by the flames...
"Get ready. This isn't going to be easy. The elemental in there is more powerful than anything I've ever seen and whoever is on the other side is trying to send it raging out of control."
"So we kill the source of the pain and the elemental can go back to normal? Sounds simple enough. Hurosk, you havent run out of arrows yet have you, we might be needing some?" Lyreis finishes inspecting the magical blades for any sign of damage as he walks, but now free of blood it is clear that it will take more than hobgoblin necks to mar this ancient weapon.

The half-orc shakes his head. "Nah, Still have plenty in here."He give his magical quiver a shake.
"Looks like some of you could use a little help." The ranger steps away from the door and conjures an ethereal spirt in the form of a swarm of dragonflies.
Once Moltaris heal some of the injures of her companions, the group braces themselves for whatever is waiting for them at the other side of the door.
Dworic can barely hide his excitment. Despite the dire situation in wich they found themselves, he is going to enter in one of the renamed elmental chambers of house Lyrandar. What a opportunity to learn and see how they conduct the elementals energy to make the ships fly.
After making sure they all are ready, Lyreis tries to open the door but it seems that it has been barred from inside. He pushes with his shoulder once, and it shakes. Encouraged by that he pushesh harder and this time the door opens with a crack of some wood.
The chamber is dimly lit by a fiery light that cames out of dozens of metal pipes of different sizes that cover the room, forming an intricate web. They can see a that the design allows almost two passages near each of the walls, but they would still have to duck or raise thir legs to avoid the ocassional pipe.
The hot hits them immediatly as if the door were shileding the rest of the ship from it. There is some kind of mist that covers the entire room, and periodically steams of vapor came out of the joints of some of the pipes.
For a second Moltaris sees a little white rabbit jumping towards them, but she sighs in relieve when she realizes it's just steam.
At the rear of the room they can see a sort of pedestal made of adamtine, covered with esoteric runes. From the middle of it the pipelines are born and distribute across the room. On top of it there is a cristal, or a gem, as big as Dworic and Hurosk's heads together. The crystal is pulsing with a redish light, swirling inside it they can see the fiery heart of the chamber, when the fire elemental is contained.
Lyreis can see that part of the pipes that protude from the pedestal, and the pedestal itself are somehow covered with a layer of ice. The fact that it even exists with the heat of the chamber reveals its magice nature.
Following the trace of ice to the left of the pedestal, they can see another device. It doesn't fit in the general machiney of the room. Almost like a big chest of metal, dragonshards and wood, it radiates a cold aura around it. It has seven dragonshards embebed on it. Six of them illuminated with a bluelish light from inside. Five king of cables came out of it and are attached now to the metal pedestal.
Behind this weird chest they can see two familiar figures. The goblin and the human that caught their attention earlier. The goblin, still in mechanic attire, seems to be making some final adjustments to the chest. The man, free from the extravagant tunic that covered him at the docking bay, wears a black leather armor and has a rapier on his hand.
Two other goblins, armed with heavy crossbows are in the middle of the room. They immediatly point to them.
The man speaks.
" Oh I see that you, somehow managed to avoid my warforged and that stupid Brimstone hasn't been able to do his job. That's inconveniant. Tell me. Is there anyone with authority among you? I know that you are not part of the Golden's crew, so don't waste time. You don't have much."
As he finish the sentence one of the dragonshards of the chest, flickers and sends a wave of cold towards the cables to the pedestal. The ship's rumbles and more vapor gets out of the joints of the pipes.
"I am the First Officer of the ship. Speak!" says Mazzira stepping in front of Kyne to make herself visible.
"Excellent. This" he says pointing to the weird chest " Is a bomb, it's set to explode and set free your fire elemental. Do I have to explain to you what that means?"
She takes a step forward, lighting starting to crack on her clunched fist.
"I wouldn't do that... this kind of things are so... umpredictable... "
She stops "What do you want"
"Simple 5 million gold pieces. Or I crash Lyrandar's biggest and proudest airship. Along with its crew and the Sarlonna ambassador."
" You wouldn't dare "
"Didn't I?" he smirks "C'mon now. Your house will recover the money. But the prestigie, the scandal... I doubt it would recover from that... ever..."
Hurosk can see, between the shadows to the right some kind of movement. Is hard to tell due to the dim light and the steam but he would have swear that there is something moving there.
" I think you overestimate your chances. You are trapped here. Your allies are dead or on the run. I alone can control the elemental even if it's freed from the Containment Crystal. Turn it off and surrender. It's your only chance to make out of here alive."
The man seems unmoved by her words, but the doubt fills the three goblins eyes.
" I admit I didn't anticipated them in mind. " he says poiting to the party " You on the other hand... you can control it.. I see. That's why I had taken measures to it too. "
In that moment everything happens at the same time. Hurosk yells a warning as his suspicions became true and a figure came out of the shadows and tries to stab the Lyrandar half-elf in the neck, but there is something more that jumps out of the shadows and bites the arm of the now visible bugbear that was hiding trying to stab the ranking officer. A mastin, bites and growls making the bugbear attack fail.
From the moment they enter the cramped area, Moltaris does not like their chances of solving this moment with force alone. She lingers back a little, not drawing attention to herself while she wracks her brain for any play that might actually get them out of this alive. She glances at the black-clad man with the rapier, and then down at her own gear. Weird... I don't think he's doing this on his own... Maybe he has a boss... Bright Mother I'm going to need your help here! She thinks to herself before Sending a psychic message to him. "Our plans are dashed, due to these meddlesome fools. Surrender before wasting any more resources - I will get you out of whatever jail they hide you in. The Lyrandars have not seen the last of us... In time, we shall gloriously devastate them!"
