Hurosk looks to Molly, "Yeah, you're not looking too good either. Like she sucked some of the life right out of you. Can you heal yourself of this?"
"I do not know. The Mother's gifts are not restoring it."

A complex chain of emotions plays out on Kyne's face, for anybody watching. First shock, then fear and anger, followed by relief and satisfaction. He grins when all is done and turns to the others.
"I think I finally understand why the satyr sent me to join you... my sister is out there. On that vampire's island. She's been a prisoner there and is escaping as we speak. She's a seer. She just contacted me via magic. I told her to meet us in town, but if she doesn't show up by midday tomorrow I have to go to that island to find her. With or without the rest of you."
Determination is etched on the elf's face. Clearly this has significantly raised the stakes for him.
"Then it was fate, Kyne, that brought you to us, and us to each other. I do not presume to speak for the others but you will have my blades until the tale is told." Lyreis clasps the other elf by the shoulder and smiles "And may we find glory and renown as we go, so our ancestors will look on us with favour."

"Perhaps we must do nothing. Seb'riel is very skilled - in fact, she's likely been waiting for this moment. I just hope that we've provided enough distraction for her to make it out before Morlainne discovers she's gone. She'll come to us. And should she not, now I know where she is."
Mathilda gives Lyreis a small smile at the question about the bacon, but she is very concerned about Moltaris' wounds. She listens quietly as the others discuss what to do next, digesting the information about the vampire. An adventure is what she wanted, but faced with a magical creature like this, Mathilda feels entirely out of her depth. She glances back at Moltaris and Hurosk, both much more experienced fighters than her, both badly hurt. Maybe it's time to abandon this, maybe I should go back to pickpocketing... Suddenly, she feels Hurosk's healing spirit wash over her and watches her wound close back up. She gasps and inspects it, but she is as good as new.
She begins to rise, intending to accompany Molly and the others back to town, when Kyne speaks. "Your SISTER is out there? With that monster? We must help her!" The determination on Mathilda's face makes it clear that she will not rest until the siblings are reunited. She walks to the edge of the lake, washing the soot of her hands and face. Carefully, she soaks up some water into a cloth and brings it to Moltaris, so the cleric can at least clean her wound, and then helps her apply a bandage to it. As she works, she asks the others: "Are we waiting here for her or going back into town then?"
Molly's golden eyes flutter open as Mathilda applies the cloth. A soft gasp of relief at the coolness of the water escapes her nearly invisible lips, now almost as pale as the rest of the kalashtar's skin, and she catches herself -- her reflex to grab and twist the person touching her. This is as close as anyone has been to the cleric, and as off her guard as she has been.
"Thank you." She stretches and rolls her head of her shoulders. "Whatever we do, I just don't want to do it here. I doubt we killed all of her minions. I have no gift for strategy or thinking around corners - what say you, Hurosk? How long til daylight and, more importantly, what do your hunter's gifts tell you?"

"I hope she is as talented as you since getting off that island may be difficult... Did your sister have to run away after killing someone too?" the half-orc asks. "Either way, it will be good to have another hand to help against that vampire."
Hurosk looks up to the sky, trying to catch the position of the moon behind the clouds and fog that has begun to roll in. "We have about a quarter of a day until the sun begins to rise again. Anytime we have needed to hunt down a vampire it has taken quite a few of us bounty hunters to bring them down. I've only been part of one of those hunts, and that was one that wasn't as nearly as strong as this one."he replies to Molly. As they continue back towards the town, the ranger reaches out with his senses to detect any nearby evils.
"Well we've killed all the humans, burned the place to the ground, fought the vampire lady and her pack of wolves, I think we are done here. Shall we go and meet Kyne's sister? Or at least pray to the ancestors that she is making her way to us as we speak. In any case I would not leave her waiting longer than necessary, we do not know what to expect but we will be stronger together."Lyreis begins to ready his gear to move off back to the town.

"Seb'riel's talents are in many ways more useful than my own. If she has access to her spellbook - which I suspect she does, given the spell she just cast to contact me h then she'll be invisible and then fly to us. I just hope she manages to evade Morlainne. Seb didn't kill anyone though, not directly anyway. That's not her style. I thank you though, all of you, for your willingness to help."
Gathering their loot and bags, Kyne follows Lyreis back towards Delethorn.
A few hours later you all are sitting again in a table at the inn. The hour is late and most of the patrons had already gone to bed. The Dragonborn, notices your battered and bloodied clothes and looks but she says nothing and just bring you something fresh to eat and drink, nothing too heavy but she takes care of you.
Hurosk collapses into a heap upon one of the chairs, his gear crashing to the floor as well. "Whew..! Well, that was exciting," he says trying to convince himself. He politely thanks the dragonborn for her attention and begins to pick at the food, sipping his drink. "I imagine it's a bit too late for our employer to be around. If he keeps to his word he should be back tomorrow night..."
When the innkeeper comes backaround, he asks her, "That hook-nosed fella that we met our first night," he points to the table where the four of them sat, "has he still been coming by each night?"
As she digs into her food, Mathilda tiredly asks: "So how did your sister end up captured by a vampire? And she's a witch? She can fly? Can you fly?" Her thoughts get away from her and she forgets to chew as she imagines a warty, green witch on a broomstick. The events of the night seem to have been a bit much for her.
Kyne also relaxes into a chair by the fire. The adrenaline has worn off by now and all the aches and pains of the day are creeping home.
"I don't know how Seb ended up here," he answers Mathilda simply, rubbing his furrowed brow with one hand. "The last time I saw her she was working in the palace in Elentári."
He drinks a long draught of wine from his cup before continuing.
"She isn't a witch, no. She has natural ability as a seer, but she attended the Royal College of Wizardry in Highwood. She's very talented. She uses transmutation magic to fly. I don't know the spell, but I could probably learn it. It doesn't look that hard."
The elf shrugs nonchalantly, as he grabs a hunk of bread.
Lyreis, sitting over the table from Kyne, drinks from his own cup of wine and then leans in. "What concerns me is that your sister is not here yet and we have heard nothing else, what if she failed to escape? How long can we afford to wait for her before we must head back to the lake and confront Morlainne?" Looking around the group he continues "Obviously we aren't going anywhere tonight, and Moltaris needs rest even if the rest of us have recovered well. But we may need to be out in the morning early."

Mathilda gives Kyne an incredulous look when he talks about flying as an easy feat. Decidedly too tired to deal with any more magic tonight, she says good night to the group and heads off to get some sleep. Before she leaves, she wishes Moltaris a restful night and that she hopes the cleric will have recovered somewhat by morning.
"It concerns me also. Once we're prepared, we'll make our way there."
With his wine finished and a little food in his stomach, Kyne finally makes his way upstairs to his room, where he sheds his armour and turns in for the night.
Moltaris pulls herself up from her seat as Mathilda prepares to leave, and accompanies the human girl upstairs.
"You are doing well, Mathilda. I know what you've seen - what you've experienced - I know these things are shocking to you, but you are doing well. Your strength of character is evident, and your fresh perspective will be sorely needed among the more calloused and jaded of us - a reminder that the rest of the world is not like the horrors we face, that have become our normal." With a whispered prayer, the cleric casts Guidance on the young rogue, just to leave her with a small gift from the Mother.
After Mathilda closes the door to her quarters, Moltaris tugs a blanket out of her own pack and sits down in front of that door. I don't trust that Nose character... but nothing is happening to this kid tonight... She falls into a fitful sleep leaning against the door jamb with the blanket tucked around herself.
