The creature looks from Glynquinal to Gruxx to Rock. Despite its alien facial structure, it looks more and more frustrated. When it looks at Herr Doktor, it finally appears to relax. After a couple heartbeats, everyone feels/hears the alien thoughts again, "You think what you are doing is noble, but it is born of fear — fear of failure. You know what the others say is true, and you fear that nothing will come of your life's work — that you will not be remembered."
Glynquinal looks at the creature in front of him curiously, "I, along with my companions will be remembered, and the cause we have joined is just and noble. The men here that have held you back have done great evil and plan to do more unless they are stopped."
Shifting slowly so he can slowly motion to his friends Glynquinal adds, "You have been treated poorly it would seem. not allowed to feast on the wicked, and being used to harm the innocent. That could easily change if you were willing to lend us aid."

"What are you saying," he asks the creature. "Are you speaking about yourself? Did someone say that nothing will come of your life's work and that you would be forgotten? Who are these others? Was it the Glasstaff?"
Gruxx looks around almost in shock as he has never experienced something speaking in his head before. After hearing the others begin speaking he concludes the creature must be speaking to all of them. Being afraid of this creature in his mind he begins silently singing the song of Tempus to keep his mind calm.
Herr Doktor can't get a read on the extremely strange and alien creature, but when it tilts its head slightly while still looking at the bard and says, "It is you who will be forgotten," Herr Doktor feels the hairs on his neck stand up.
The Herr Doktor Professor bows humbly before the strange creature.
"A true bard understands that even when he is forgotten, the stories will still be remembered," he says.
He tries once again to reach out to the nothic:
"What is your story, creature," he asks. "Or are you even a creature? Were you once human or elf, only to be transformed into this shape by the Glasstaff?"
The creature blinks its huge eye at the bard, then looks at the others. Looking back at the bard, it thinks at them, "No remember past before ... here."
Rock to eyeball "We have more meat, if you like we have some fresh goblin and bugbear that you are more than welcome to!" Rock looks at Grux and would you be so kind as to bring some more for him and make sure to take anything red off of them.
After Herr Doktor speaks, the nothic sends the mental idea of a head shake to the others without physically moving. "Glasstaff and red cloaks come after I find this place. Glasstaff nice. Glasstaff treat like friend. Make others nice." The creature merely watches Glynquinal as he speaks, its huge eyelid blinking once. When Rock offers goblin and bugbear, the creature reaches out, grabs the leg of the Redbrand, and pulls it toward it (M8), but makes no response. It hovers over its offering, still watching the others in silence.
Gruxx does not want to participate in this telepathic wizardry and focuses on trying to keep his mind clear by thinking of the forest and animals there in.

Suspicious of the creature's words, the Herr Doktor Professor attempts to discern if it is trying to distract or delay the party, setting us up for an ambush.

Ian to the Nothic Consider this food before you a gift of friendship.
"Then it is you have forgotten and been forgotten," the Herr Doktor Professor tells the nothic.
"Perhaps you are under a curse placed by this Glasstaff," he suggests.

Upon hearing that the wizard and the eyeball are on friendly terms, Glynquinal will try to take out one of his daggers and palm it out of sight.
