The ogre is wearing ogre-sized (and very smelly) hide armor and carrying a makeshift greatclub. Attached to its waist are three dead rabbits. Scouting around, the party finds no signs of any other danger.
Glynquinal reasonably sure there is nothing else in the area leans toward camping and resting for the night with Rock.
Glynquinal says to the group. "Rock is probably right. We do need a good long rest. Perhaps making camp off the trail and hiding the fire as best we can to cook some rabbit would be a good idea." His nose wrinkles up at the smell coming from the Fallen Ogre as death did not improve his smell any. "Away from the Ogre as best as we can though, it reeks."
OOC: Let's skip ahead a bit to keep the story moving.
The party rests, enjoying an uneventful night. The next day, Gruxx leads them out of the forest to the Triboar Trail, then down the road to Phandalin. The closer they get, the more excited and relieved Gundren gets. Shortly after noon, the party reaches the derelict walls of Phandalin.
Glynquinal will be looking to track down where the nearest temple to Tymora is. While not able to complete his plan yet for going forward, he wants to get to know some of the people involved in preparation for that.
Glynquinal will be looking to try and secure a diamond worth 50GP for the purpose os improving his spell casting. A visit to Halia may well be in order.
Ian pulls Gundren aside as they draw closer to the city, and asks: Gundren, I want the whole story. What happened out there? Why did they take you? Are you still in danger? And did you overhear anything regarding this crest (and he shows Gundren the insignia on the cloak that he took from the bed)?
Herr Doktor will stick with Gundren. Though not fully accustomed to the adventuring lifestyle, he has thoroughly enjoyed his foray out into the world, and he thinks Gundren may have more adventures to come.
Glynquinal, as you know Sister Garaele is a cleric of Tymora, you stop by the Shrine of Luck. The Sister is there, and she greets you pleasantly.
Rock, you stop in at the blacksmith. The two Damaran humans — the short, stout male and the tall, slender woman — are working. The woman notices you, but continues working. When she finds a stopping point, she walks up to the counter. "You're the one who ordered the bladed gauntlets?" she asks. You affirm that you are. She retrieves the weapons, bringing them to the counter, and you lift one to examine it. While they are not ornate in any way, they are examples of fine craftsmanship. They consist of a metal and leather band that hinges around the forearm and wrist and a retractable blade on the underside. "We just finished them this morning. There's a small lever right there," she says, pointing at a protrusion that would fit over the heel of the hand. She tells you to put the gauntlet on, which you do. "Now, depress the lever and jerk your arm to force the blade out, then release the lever to lock it into the place." You do as she instructs, and the blade is extended and ready for action. It sticks out about four inches longer than your longest finger. Again, you look at the blade. Nice and sharp. "To push it back in, depress the lever again and push the tip of the blade against a solid surface. Once it's fully retracted, release the lever to hold the blade." Again, you do as instructed. "You won't be able to bend your wrist with the blade extended, but that will actually give you strength while using it because you'll have to use your whole arm." She looks at you to make sure you're happy.
Ian, Gundren raises his eyesbrows at you. "Someone knew about the map. The map to Wave Echo Cave. I think King Grol was actually working for someone else. It seems like there's someone bigger than him pulling the strings. I don't know if I'm in trouble. I need to find my brothers and see if they're OK." He looks again at the crest. "Oh, that crest?" He thinks, but then shakes his head. "I don't recognize it at all." To Gruxx, he says, "Yes, I'd like to speak with Sildar, but let's find my brothers first, if you don't mind."
Glynquinal to Sister Garaele, "Sister, I have seen some things over the last few weeks that trouble my heart. I want to make an impact on this world to even things out for some of the evil that has been done. We nearly lost a god friend of ours and I had not ability to help heal him at all. I think my path will be different in the future. I don't want to see my friends hurt and not be able to help them. What guidance would you offer?"
OOC: Rock (or whoever ends up using them), the bladed gauntlets will be re-skinned scimitars. They are light weapons that do a d6 worth of damage, and you can attack twice (action and bonus). While you cannot hold something else while the blade is extended (you can't hold a torch and fight at the same time, for instance), they will keep you from being disarmed (and you can't drop them). While you are wearing them, if the blade is retracted, you can use your hand normally, meaning you can wield a different weapon, even.
Glynquinal, Sister Garaele smiles at you warmly. "Your friends are blessed to have you to look out for them. I have a couple healing potions I can sell you, if you like. They are 50 gold apiece."
Glynquinal bows graciously to the sister. "That is a kind offer. I will relay that to my friends. I'm sure we'll be interested as we seem to have more hard business ahead of us."
He continues, "Sister, do you have anything to read of Tymora's guidance? I may struggle to find the time to do so, but I would like to read more on that subject."
The Sister's eyes widen a little. "You're interested in learning more about Lady Luck? Oh, that's wonderful," she says, brightening. "Is that what you were getting at the whole time? I'm sorry; I misunderstood you. We clerics of Tymora do often serve as healers to adventurers. I healed many a returning fighter or wizard when I was still in Neverwinter. Not much of that here in Phandalin," she says more to herself. "I have never been an adventurer myself. My own foray into adventuring lately did not go so well. But if you're interested in petitioning Tymora — to become one of her clerics — that is wonderful." She slips behind the alter in the center of the Shrine of Luck, reaches underneath, then returns, holding out a gold coin. When you look at it, Glynquinal, you realize it's not a normal coin. On each side is the face of a jolly woman. "This can serve as a focus for you as you seek to grow closer to Tymora. You don't need this — if you talk to Tymora, she will hear you — but I've found having something to hold onto helps me feel less like I'm just a crazy person rambling on to myself. I, unfortunately, don't have any literature to give you. But, if you have a little time to sit down with me, I can tell you many things myself."
To Gruxx, "I think you are right, Friend Gruxx. We should not delay our journey."
Listening carefully for any unusual sounds like another Ogre in the area Glynquinal concentrates on the surrounding terrain.
Perception 15
Glynquinal continues, "I don't think we should delay here at all."

OOC are the rabbits still eatable?
Yep
Let's make camp off the trail and eat and rest up

Gruxx looks down at his wounds.
"A rest would be nice. Let us go. Once we are there I will gather wood for the fire." says Gruxx.

OOC2: Where do you go now?

Gruxx see's Ian speaking to Gundren and steps up to listen and provide protection.
"We should seek out Sildar as well. I'm sure he would love to hear the story." says Gruxx.

Ian and HDP will accompany Gundren as he seeks out Sildar and his family, for protection and for company after the ordeal they have all been through.
Gruxx is going as well to find Sildar.
