This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Glynquinal while remaining still tries to listen for any voices, or indication of movement around him, paying particular attention to his right. If he hears nothing, he will continue toward the mouth of the cave to see if there are any more goblins posted around keeping watch.

OOC, Waiting on the voices to die down again before moving on.
Hearing the voices remain Glynquinal remains where he is for a bit.. The briars are thick and would make it difficult to approach without being heard. they do offer excellent cover, but that works both ways. After waiting a while and seeing no indication the other three are in the area Glynquinal opts for moving forward slowly to see how many are waiting at the cave mouth.
Moving toward the mouth of the cave and then silently ... like a ghost ... moving through the stream, Glynquinal looks around the edge of the brier hedge to find two goblins huddled together 10 to 15 feet south. Most likely lookouts or guards, these two are not doing a very good job of staying on task and are engaged in other activities.
Glynquinal in case he is spotted, takes the time to tie some of the 10' of string he has with him, and after wrapping 2 feet of that around an arrow, soaks it with oil from one vial he has. Putting his string and oil back after corking it again, he readies his tinder box and takes up his short bow. Noting the two guards he can see decides to quickly take a look around, to make sure they aren't the only two present, then make his way back to where he and Ian separated.
OOC: If you hadn't rolled a nat 20, I'd question whether you could do all of that without attracting attention ... but ... what, exactly, are you doing with the string and arrow and oil?
Glynquinal makes it back to where Ian, Gruxx and Herr Doktor are waiting without seeming to catch the two guards' — which, as far as Glynquinal can tell, are the only ones in the area — attention.
OOC I would have tried to hit one of them with a flaming arrow if I had been spotted.
Glynquinal returns to where he and Ian had parted company and find the other two waiting as well.
Glynquinal reports to the other three, "There are two goblins up ahead near the cave entrance. If they are supposed to be on watch they are doing a terrible job of it. They shouldn't be too hard to get past. How do we want to do this?"
Glynquinal to Gruxx says, "There are at least two there, and may be more. If we can take them out quickly we have a better chance of getting in without raising any alarm. Can you take care of one fast and quiet?"
Ian says quietly to all I dont want to get in there and fight a two front war, in case these guys decided to come in the cave, or there is a guard change. If we knock one out, can we use another as a hostage? Are goblins loyal to their own? if not, they may put an arrow in him anyway, then its not our problem. I vote we either knock them out and tie them both up, kill them both quick and silent, or knock one out and use the other as a hostage. But I dont like the idea of just going around them, in case they decided to come back in and we are surrounded...
Glynquinal turns to HDP, "Herr Doktor...what's your take? I'm for ending this particular problem here and now myself. No need to have a foe at our front and our back. and we need to get a move on if we are going to track down the ones they took captive alive."
"I agree with the consensus of the party," whispers the Herr Doktor Professor. "It would be foolish and dangerous to have the enemy come at us from behind. We should eliminate the senties swiftly and silently, if possible."
He rubs his chin briefly, then whispers again.
"However, if the rogues takes the sentries by surprise, perhaps they can knock out the enemy before they raise the alarm. I recall Gruxx's wise suggestion earlier to try and turn this Yeemik against the bugbear king. We might be able to do so if we can offer him some of his captive warriors in return.
"But we should only do this if the opportunity presents itself. If not, then we should go for the kill."
Glynquinal glances at Ian, and moves behind the orange goblin and readies his dagger saying, "You should have taken me up on my offer." before drawing the dagger across his throat.

Investigation 19
The movement and voice seems to stay localized behind the hedge.
OOC: You'd better roll stealth again, Glynquinal, if you're moving toward the cave mouth. Just making sure: Where are the other three?

Stealth 13
Ian and the rest of the party are at the edge of the map, watching for Glenquenals all clear sign.
From their position in the brush, Ian makes the sign in thieves cant to Glynquenal that means "what's the hold up"
OOC If Glynquinal can't see the source of the voices due to the briars, I doubt he could see the party showing up either.

Gruxx shrugs, "I'm not the quietest person in the world but once I'm on 'em it shouldn't take long."
Gruxx looks to his glaive, "I do have to say that we don't need anymore prisoners. It's time for a more direct approach. I vote for the killing."

"Ian and Glynquinal should take the point," suggests the Herr Doktor Professor.
"Grux and myself are less stealthy, so we will follow your lead."
Ian offers Unless one of you wants to offer yourself as bait. A distraction while Glenquenal and I move in for the kill.?
Glynquinal glances at Ian, and moves behind the orange goblin and readies his dagger saying, "You should have taken me up on my offer." before drawing the dagger across his throat.
OOC, we aren't near the orange goblin. We left him 10 minutes travel time behind us tied in the forest.
OOC: all right, just a bit more walking involved;
Glynquinal to Ian, "Where are the two problems hanging out at? We need to put that set of problems to rest."
