OOC: Provided there is still daylight left for travel, returning to town might be a good idea. Late in the day it might be a good time to find a place to make camp.
Glynquinal to the party, "Well now. It would seem traveling for the day is done. Friend Gruxx, any chance you could find something to eat running around while we try to find a place off the road to set up camp?"
Ian will interject: Well, we know this cave is empty. What about just staying here? It will be easier to defend ourselves and our shipment as long as we are in a place we know is empty.
"Hey Glyn is getting dark let's see them goggles if they are what I think they could help Grux and I in dark places, but we are not the sneaky ones but it can hurt.
"I'll try to be quick about it before the sun sets."
Gruxx will forage for berries and if sees any small game will attempt to throw his axe at it.
Feature: Wanderer
You have an excellent memory for maps and geography, and you can always recall the general layout of terrain, settlements, and other features around you. In addition, you can find food and fresh water for yourself and up to five other people each day, provided that the land offers berries, small game, water, and so forth.
OOC I would think we headed back toward the wagon, perhaps staging in the cave. It wouldn't do to get nicked by something while arms are loaded with crates in the night.
Glynquinal to the party, "If we don't get the crates into the wagon, it's going to be a very long hard walk to deliver them. I'm up for a walk. Who else is willing?"
OK, so the party does in fact take the stolen goods to the wagon and camps out on the side of the road. Gruxx is able to find food for the party as the campsite is set up.
OOC: I've been operating under the idea of three watches, but RAW says sleep can only been interrupted for a two-hour watch, so that would mean non-elves would take four shifts. You, however, have two elves, so those two could do all the watch themselves if they desired. At any rate, who takes watch and when tonight?

What time of day is it?
OOC: Provided there is still daylight left for travel, returning to town might be a good idea. Late in the day it might be a good time to find a place to make camp.
The sun is setting.
Glynquinal to the party, "Well now. It would seem traveling for the day is done. Friend Gruxx, any chance you could find something to eat running around while we try to find a place off the road to set up camp?"

"Hey Glyn is getting dark let's see them goggles if they are what I think they could help Grux and I in dark places, but we are not the sneaky ones but it can hurt.
Glynquinal pulls the goggles out from his pack and hands them to Rock.
Gruxx looks around.
"I'll try to be quick about it before the sun sets."
Gruxx will forage for berries and if sees any small game will attempt to throw his axe at it.

Rock, the goggles give you darkvision. They are goggles of night.
Did you all decide to stay at the cave, or did you travel back to the wagon? Gruxx has no trouble finding food at either place.
"Glyn I can see you they are what I thought they were.
We can stay in the cave tonight, I will take first watch, then I can let Grux have the goggles and he can take the next watch."
OOC I would think we headed back toward the wagon, perhaps staging in the cave. It wouldn't do to get nicked by something while arms are loaded with crates in the night.
Yea, if we cant bring the wagon to the cave, then I say we stay with the wagon, guard the crates.
There's no way to get the wagon to the cave. So ... I think you're not in agreement yet. Are you staying in the cave or camping out near the wagon?
"We must guard the wagon if we want paid!"
Glynquinal to the party, "If we don't get the crates into the wagon, it's going to be a very long hard walk to deliver them. I'm up for a walk. Who else is willing?"
Rock will help Glyn!
Glynquinal to Rock, "Thank you friend. You seem to be better suited than I for the task of carrying, but I will do what I can."
Resolved to load the cart, Glynquinal sets off out of the cave and heads down the path.
Ooc wagon was loaded I think we just need to guard it until sunup and head to town
OOC: From post 2889 "Through the magic of D&D, all of the crates and barrels are lifted and carted back to the wagon without incident."
OK, so the party does in fact take the stolen goods to the wagon and camps out on the side of the road. Gruxx is able to find food for the party as the campsite is set up.
