Ian succeeds in disengaging and swinging himself up into the tree he was sleeping under after downing a healing potion.
Herr Doktor stabs at (2) Wolf4, dealing a moderate amount of piercing damage to the wild canine. The bard then inspires the human barbarian who, seeing HDP being double teamed, stands and thrusts his glaive at Wolf2. His blade slides between the creature ribs, puncturing something vital, and the wolf yelps and then collapses as a torrent of blood begins to flow from the wound.
Round 3: Rock (29/29), Glyn (7/21), wolves (1, 3, 4 & 5 are left; 1 & 4 are wounded), Ian (10/21), HDP (13/24), Gruxx (27/32, inspired)
Glynquinal feeling the wounds will drop his short swords and quickly draw from his pouch to cast Misty Step to any tree close enough to allow him to gain elevation from the Wolves. Total of 30 feet of movement.

Glynquinal disappears in a mystical mist and appears on another branch in the same tree Ian is perched in.
Wolf1 looks around after Glynquinal disappears, then moves to and attacks (1) the Herr Doktor Professor. (bite attack: 23, damage: 7 piercing damage) The bard parries the attack as Wolf4 takes another bite at him. (bite attack: 21, damage: 7 piercing damage) The bite is a deep one, doing quite a bit of damage and causing the half-elf to begin to feel woozy. Wolf3 attempts to bite Rock again. (bite attack: 23, damage: 5 piercing damage) The canine can't get his teeth past the dragonborn's scaly hide. And Wolf5, almost losing his prey up a tree, turns to attack (3) Gruxx. (bite attack: 14, damage: 6 piercing damage) The human barbarian attempts to dodge the attack, but the wolf's teeth scrape against his exposed flesh, doing a bit of damage.
Ian, from his perch, will target the wolves near Herr Doktor, seeing how much he is bleeding from his multiple bit wounds.
Crossbow to hit: 11
Damage: 9
Sneak attack damage because of HDP's proximity to the wolf attacking him: 5
Her Doktor (hopefully seeing Ian's arrow strike true) will take a moment to cast Cure Wounds (at level 2) to regain 15 points of healing. He will also use his bonus action to cast Vicious Mockery -and say a few nasty things about his wolfpack- (WIS save, DC 13 or take 1d4 psychic damage and have disadvantage on next roll) at the wolf nearest him.
Ian fires a bolt at wolf4, but sitting on a tree branch isn't hit normal MO, throwing off his aim. The projectile lands in the ground beside the creature.
WIS save (DC13): 18
The wolf doesn't appear to care about anything the bard has to say.
Glynquinal steadies himself with one hand and carefully pulls out the nicely cut small diamond from his components pouch. Speaking an arcane enchantment he focuses on the wolf that Rock just struck at. Seeing the cold look in the wolf's eyes he focuses on the crisp middle of winter after a heavy snow fall.
Gruxx bears his teeth as he swings his glaive mightily at wolf5. The weapon leaves a massive gash along the canine's side.
Round 4: Rock (29/29), Glyn (7/21), wolves (4 left), Ian (10/21), HDP (19/24), Gruxx (22/32, inspired)
Rock swings his axe at wolf3 again. The blade almost severs the head, but the creatures collapses, and blood gushes from the wound on its neck.
Though he had been practicing the theory behind the spell for a few days, it was only with the latest find of a sufficient diamond that the full technique was available to Glyquinal. Holding the beautiful stone in his hand, while reciting the incantation and forming the right shapes with his hand, he taps into the weave and calls forth cold. Seeing the dragonborn cut down his intended target, the elf quickly chooses a new target. (3) He focuses on the nearby wolf engaged with Gruxx. As he releases the spell, there is a burst of cold which even Gruxx can feel, and the wolf is frozen solid.
Still tag-teaming the Herr Doktor Professor, wolf1 and wolf4 bite again. (bite attack: 16, damage: 7 piercing damage & bite attack: 17, damage: 8 piercing damage) The bard does his best to protect himself, but he seems to dodge when he should weave, and both wolves are able to bite down on his exposed flesh, leaving him greatly wounded, but still standing.
Let's find out. Fumble roll: 15 ... You called it: "Ooops! You hit an unintended random target." Now, since we're doing this theater of the mind, I need to decide who is within 10 feet. Obviously not Glynquinal or Ian. Let's let the dice decide ...
Who was Ian aiming for: 2 — wolf4
Who is within 10 feet: Gruxx: 1, Rock: 2, HDP: 1, other wolf: 2 — Gruxx only — does he hit Gruxx? 21, 11
As HDP uses his weapon to deflect the wolves and run for the tree. (If he is climbing up, roll an athletics check, please.) Ian steadies himself on the tree branch before attempting to fire again, but as he is pulling the trigger on his crossbow, a bird swoops down and angrily chirps in his face, causing him to jump and utter a sound of surprise. The bolt, intended for wolf4, instead lands in the back of Gruxx's calf.
Ian jumps and grabs onto a branch, swinging up into the tree (Acrobatics: 9) but it probably wont end well.....
Gruxx arcs his glaive and begins to rage and attack recklessly.
Gruxx takes aim on Wolf 2.

HDP is not climbing, just ducking behind the tree.
Stinking bird getting in his way. Ian, free action, calls out "...sorry Gruxx..."
Gruxx grunts in pain and looks to Ian and gives a violent nod letting him know he understands.
