Looking in the direction where the man is pointing, Glynquinal notes the building he is pointing out. "Thank you for your help sir. I must call it a night." As he thanks the old man Glynquinal, turns up the street and heads in that direction. Traveling has been somewhat tiring, and having a roof overhead sounds like a good idea at the moment.
Ian follows Glenquenal out, and down toward the Inn. Seeing his friends at the blacksmith shop, he enters and joins the conversation when there is a lull
to the people behind the counter I dont suppose either of you know where I could buy some hand crossbows, do you?
Gruxx follows Glynquinal and says, "A nice sleep without worrying about those blame goblins would be nice."
However, when Gruxx see's Ian go to the Blacksmith he follows him. He pulls the bugbear head out of his pouch holds it up and says, "Can you make me a hat out of this? It's gon' start to stink if I don't get it fixed up soon."
Ian pops into the smithy and asks about crossbows. The woman and man give the rogue the stink eye, then look at Herr Doktor and Rock. "This one with you?" When they indicate he is, they lean in. "No one sells weapons outright here in town, but there is someone who does ... if you ask the right person." Before Herr Doktor or Ian can ask a followup question, the severed head of Klarg is shoved to the forefront rather abruptly. The man and woman backpedal. "Can you make me a hat out of this?" the human barbarian asks. "It's gon' start to stink if I don't get it fixed up soon." The woman puts a hand to her nose. "It already does, son," the man says, wrinkling his nose. "There's not a leather worker in Phandalin that I know of," the man continues. "What about Grista?" the woman asks. The man furrows his brow at her. "I'm not sending these lads to the Sleeping Giant," he retorts. She regards her companion and then shrugs before looking back at Gruxx. "Ask Toblen if he knows anybody. He runs the Stonehill Inn."
Glynquinal is walking down the lane toward the Stonehill Inn. Sildar is a few paces behind him.
The Herr Doktor Professor bids his farewell to the smiths. Though he would have liked to have some weapons made, he decides it is better to let the martial types have priority. He has no idea what a gauntlet blade he is, but suspects Rock will put it to good use against the goblins.
He returns to the road and catches up with Glynquinal and Sildar. "What's the word, Glyn," he asks, passing on what he learned at the smithy and asking the rogue if he picked up any news.
"We should keep an eye out for Toblen and Grista," concludes the Herr Doktor Professor. He explains that he's looking to upgrade his armor to studded leather, if an affordable suit can be found.
"It seems, we have a couple of factions in the area that may cause trouble Herr Doktor", Glynquinal replies, "We should be cautious in who we deal with while we are here. Redbrands have been causing much trouble in the area."
"These Redbrands sound more like thugs than professionals like you and Ian," the Herr Doktor Professor says to Glynquinal. "Be wary. They may not allow you and Ian to operate in their territory."
Glynquinal takes note of that, "That is true, but even a worthless foe in large numbers can be dangerous..like goblins, for example I'm not one to let anyone else dictate terms to me." Remembering how the engagement started with Yeemik thinking he was going to gain a ransom, a smile crosses his face. "Perhaps we should ask around and see if Yeemik has been spotted anywhere. I don't like leaving business unfinished."
The smith woman smiles at Ian. "That's a good question," she says playfully. Looking at Rock, she asks, "Are you interested in ordering the bladed gauntlets?"
Glynquinal thinks about how he and his friends could get an advantage against a larger number later as they walk along. Several methods come to mind, but he decides not to say anything to Herr Doktor at the moment, preferring to work them out in greater detail first, before asking for any assistance.
Glynquinal notes their arrival to the inn however, "Well Herr Doktor, it would appear we have arrived. It is too late for supper, but perhaps not to early for breakfast before we turn in."
In the center of town stands a large, newly built roadhouse of fieldstone and rough-hewn timbers: the Stonehill Inn. Glynquinal, Herr Doktor Professor and Sildar enter. The comfortably-lit common room is filled with locals nursing mugs of ale or cider, all of them eyeing the trio with curiosity. After a quick glance around, Glynquinal is aware that everyone else (save the Doktor) appears to be human. The middle-aged man behind the bar gives the trio a nod as they make eye contact. Sildar immediately moves toward him and engages him in conversation.
Glynquinal approaches the man at Sildar's side, "I have several that will need rooms for a couple of days, and some hot food if there is any to be had. It's been a bit of a journey to this point."
Looking around, Glynquinal carefully assess everyone in the room, taking note of those he sees there.
The man smiles at Glynquinal. "Welcome, stranger, to the Stonehill Inn. I am Toblen Stonehill, proprietor. I was just telling your companion here that you're in luck: All but one of our rooms is available. They're three silver a night. Meals are a silver apiece. How many rooms will you be needing?"
As Glynquinal looks around the room, he sees three individuals sitting in solitude: a woman and two men. All look like they've worked a hard day this day and are finding some rest in their mugs. A pretty little barmaid is tending to them, and a young boy is bouncing around the room, not really paying attention to the adults, but seems to be entertaining himself with some kind of physical activity.
"I'll be needing a room," Sildar says, "but I won't be able to pay you until tomorrow. I am a member of the Lord's Alliance and will be able to secure funds in the morning." Toblen furrows his brow. "I'm sorry, sir, but you've no reputation with me. I can't extend you credit."
The woman gives the dragonborn smile. "You can pay when you pick them up." She looks past Ian and Rock at the setting sun. "It's time to close up, strangers." She looks at Rock one last time. "See you in five days."
Glynquinal, loathe to part with coin is carrying some silver of his own. Withdrawing some of his own coin (1 gold, and 20 copper), he presents it quietly to Toblen, "My companion is right, and we will be paid some more on the morrow, but for the evening I can bear the burden of the bill. We will need three rooms. Three each for two, and. I will need three meals as well at the moment, although there may be others later."
Looking directly at Sildar, "I trust that you will return the favor in the future."
"Come Ian let's be off to the inn and meet up with the rest of crew" Rock lowers his voice," the blades I was asking about would serve you and Glynn well as you should not be able to loose then in battle "

Gruxx also will go the Inn when entering. He ponders on what to do with his Bugbear head now. Should he just boil it to keep the skull as a trophy?
Gruxx approaches the others, "Alright! Who wants to bunk up together?"
I snore and smoke
