Glynquinal pulls back a little having forgotten just how badly the head smells. "I'll take a spot with Ian. Individuals like us need to stick together."
Ian, unhappy that he didnt get a straightforward answer to his question at the BlackSmiths, will sulkily follow Rock to the Inn.
Overhearing the conversation, Ian says Yea, Glyn and I will stick together. Also, here is the payment (60 Gold) for delivering the supplies. Thats 15 apiece for the 4 of us, but since Rock helped keep us alive, we can split it 5 ways. 12 Gold apiece - dont spend it all in one place. (OOC Dont forget to add this gold to your character sheet)
Then, a little louder, and directed at the barmaid Now, who can help me find some refreshment?
Glynquinal receives his part of the payment in good spirits. Adding it to his stash, he tucks it away.
In a low voice so only Ian will hear him over the background noise, "We need to meet up to night, all of us, once in a room and quietly disperse the rest of what I'm carrying.
Toblen accepts the coin and hands Glynquinal three keys that he pulls from his belt. "These rooms are through that door," he says, nodding toward a door to his left. "This floor." At Ian's proclamation, the barmaid gives him a bright smile, but it's Toblen who says, "Have a seat, and Elsa will bring you some ale. Pip!" he calls. The little boy's head swivels, and he runs toward the open end of the bar. "Tell your mother three plates," Toblen says kindly. The little boy disappears through the opening behind the bar, which is clearly the entry to the kitchen. "Three plates!" the adventurers can hear the boy sing out. Toblen begins pouring mugs of ale.
Receiving the three keys, from Toblen, Glynquinal thanks the man, handing one to Rock, and the other to the Sildar. Settling in to a table, Glynquinal prepares to sit down to a good hot meal for the first time in several days. "Sildar, please come sit. Ian come get something to eat."
Motioning for the others to pull up chairs, Glynquinal calls out to Toblen, "More plates for my companions sir."
Toblen counts heads, then calls, "Pip!" The boy comes trotting out of the kitchen, and Toblen says, "Three more plates, so a total of six." The boy disappears back into the kitchen singing, "Three more plates. Total of six." Toblen puts three mugs onto a tray for Elsa, and the young woman brings them over as Toblen begins filling more mugs.
The thin, freckled redhead grins at the men as she distributes the first three mugs, paying a little more attention to Gruxx than the others. She brushes her breasts up against his shoulder as she leans forward to put a mug in front of the large human. "Here you go, strangers. What brings you to Phandalin?"
Laughing, Glynquinal tells Gruxx, "I'm sure more days than the Good Herr Doktor would care to recall." Turning to the lovely Elsa, "We are here to gather as much information as we can on a particular problem, and return a friend of ours to safety."
Digging into his pouch one last time he hopes for a while, Glynquinal offers Elsa a gold piece for the meals and the drinks.

The Herr Doktor Professor takes out his lute and starts strumming the beginnings of a song. Seeing that Grux likes the pretty barmaid, he waits until she returns with the food and drinks, then begins a ballad describing a male human barbarian, sharing the same physical characteristics as Gruxx, dodging nimbly the arrows and blades of his goblin foes ...
Performance check: 13.
But even as plays his tune, the Herr Doktor Professor surveys the inn and its few guests. He suspects that more patrons will arrive soon, and plans out how to entertain and work the anticipated crowd. He is glad to have coin in his pouch again, and hopes to save enough to purchase a suit of studded leather to better protect himself against goblins and their ilk. If he can earn enough from his performance, then the party will not have to worry about paying for accommodations and other necessities.
OOC: If HDP earns any coin from his By Popular Demand feature, he'll use it to compensate Glynquinal, thus saving the party money.
Noticing Elsa's attention, Gruxx grabs his mug tightly trying to flex his bicep slightly, "I came because I heard there was an angel in these parts. I think I found her." The barmaid's eyes go wide, but Toblen's call of "Elsa" steals her attention. She gives an apologetic smile, and then hurries back to the bar where another tray is waiting for her. She picks it up and returns, passing out the remaining three drinks. Turning to the lovely Elsa, Glinquinal tells her, "We are here to gather as much information as we can on a particular problem, and return a friend of ours to safety." He digs into his pouch one last time (he hopes) for a while, and offers Elsa a gold piece for the meals and the drinks. She slips it into a pocket automatically. "What kind of information?" she asks, facing Glyinquinal, but giving Gruxx side glances. But another call of "Elsa" steals her away again. This time, she returns with the first three plates of food. As she is distributing the plates, Herr Doktor begins a ballad describing a male human barbarian, sharing the same physical characteristics as Gruxx, dodging nimbly the arrows and blades of his goblin foes. Elsa gives Herr Doktor a bit smile. "Oh, a minstrel," she exclaims. She looks over her shoulder to exchange a look with Toblen. The barkeep calls, "Pip!" and the boy returns to his side. "Go open the front door," Toblen instructs the boy. Pip runs over and props the front door open.
OOC: In case I forget to mention it, Toblen will return the coin for one of the rooms and Herr Doktor's meals and drinks at the end of the evening (you can go ahead and update your character sheet). Now that he will be known in Phandalin, he won't have to pay for those things (for himself) while in town.
Glynquinal waits for the Herr Doktor to finish his lively dirge, "We are looking for someone that can guide us to a place we aren't familiar with. Having just arrived here we don't yet have any good contacts to offer aid in such things."
By the time Herr Doktor has finished his song, Elsa has brought the remaining three plates. A man and woman have come into the Inn as well, ordering mugs of ale and sitting at a nearby table, their eyes more often on Herr Doktor than on each other. They clap, as do Pip, Toblen, Elsa, and a lovely blonde human woman who has stepped out of the kitchen and is leaning against Toblen. Glynquinal says to Elsa, "We are looking for someone that can guide us to a place we aren't familiar with. Having just arrived here we don't yet have any good contacts to offer aid in such things.""More, more!" calls Toblen. Elsa shrugs at Glynquinal. "Where are you headed? You just got here."
Glynquinal tells Elsa quietly, "We need to find Cragmaw Castle. A friend of ours is in danger and the longer it takes to find him, the worse it will be for him. We might seem relaxed now, but we wil need to leave shortly to help him."
Elsa mouths the words "Cragmaw Castle" as she replays them in her mind. Finally, she gives another small shrug. "I've never heard of it. Daran Edermath, the orchard keeper, is a former adventurer. He might know where it is." She happens to look in the bar's direction and grimaces. "Pardon me," she says. She hurries off to see to the other patrons.
The Herr Doktor Professor will start entertaining the incoming crowd, but he keeps one ear on what the party is saying, and one eye on the new patrons walking through the door. If anyone in the party needs a distraction or a dose of inspiration, he readies himself to provide it.
Looking to Sildar, Glynquinal queries him, "Have you ever heard of this Daran Edermath Sildar?"
Seeing Elsa grimace, Glynquinal glances over to see what might have caused her to do so.
To the rest of his companions he poses a more serious question. "How soon do we leave once we find out where Cragmaw is? I don't like the thought of a friend of ours being handled roughly by goblins, or worse."

Gruxx nods at Rock and says, "Thank you, I don't have much experience actually speaking the womenfolk. I heard someone use that opening line once so that's pretty much all I've got. I'll give it a go!"
Gruxx then goes up to Elsa trying his best to recall Rock's words and not mess up.
Personal Roll: 3
Gruxx says, "You're nice. Any place round here I can clean up? Then maybe you can show me around this town."
