Glynquinal offers a reassuring hand on his large friends shoulder, "If you want to go find more, I'll gladly go with you shoulder to shoulder to find as many as you want." Glynquinal will take up a position in the passageway at C13 waiting for Gruxx. "Let's crack open some more doors Gruxx."
Gruxx exits the room, Herr Doktor moving to the side to allow him passage, and moves to the door, turning to watch the rest of the party line up. Rock follows, standing behind the human barbarian. Herr Doktor moves back just outside the lower room, but facing the upper room, Glynquinal stands behind the bard, and Ian takes the last position. When he feels like everyone is ready, he throws open the door and moves left ...
He sees four humans — Redbrands — gathered around a table.
OOC: You'll go in the order you're lined up for round 1 (the Redbrands are surprised and will not act). Then, round 2, will go like this: Gruxx, Rock, HDP, redbrands, Glyn/Ian (same initiative)
"The skill of our ancestors go with you, brother," the Herr Doktor Professor tells Glynquinal in Elvish, giving him a Bardic Inspiration dice (1d6) as a bonus action.
Steeling himself, the Herr Doktor Professor then enters the room, moving shoulder to shoulder with Gruxx and Rock (at C10). He thrusts his rapier at the Redbrand wounded by Rock (the green one): 15, damage 9.
He then falls back to the door (C12), giving Glynquinal and Ian room to dash in and make their attacks.

Hearing the inspiring words from the Bard, Glynquinal feels an energy he didn't a moment earlier. Feeling inspired he is motivated to deliver a verse as he wades into the fray, "Soon one down, only three more, how many need to die?" Glynquinal draws his first short sword. "Swords will sing, wounds will sting, then you lose an eye." Glynquinal draws his second short sword.
Glynquinal advancing to C10 will target the Blue redbrand with the first strike, and the eye of the green redbrand with the second strike

Gruxx rushes into the room, leading northwest to end up in front of the (blue) Redbrand, who is leaning against the table with his head turned to look over his shoulder. The human brings down his glaive onto the man's shoulder, cutting through his leather armor to leave a shallow gash.
Rock enters right behind Gruxx, his dragonborn blood boiling. He moves northeast, stomping up behind the (green) Redbrand, whose arms are raised as if he had just been either surrendering or cheering. He sways a little bit, and Rock is able to cut deeply into the man, causing him to scream in pain.
After speaking words of inspiration to Glynquinal, Herr Doktor follows the two barbarians into the room and winds up between them, his rapier at the ready. The man to his right begins bleeding profusely from the Rock-inflicted wounds, and Herr Doktor extends his own blade, running the man through. His scream dies away, and as the bard extracts his weapon, the man collapses in the pool of his own blood.
OOC2: Herr Doktor, if you move to C12, blue will be able to make an opportunity attack. Are you OK with that?
OOC: Whoops! I thought their surprise would keep them from opping me. No problem, though. I'll eat up the attack of opportunity. I don't want us to concede the door area and risk getting trapped.
OOC: That makes complete sense. An opportunity attack is a reaction, so if a character doesn't get to act in the round, they don't get to react either. Learned something new!
Herr Doktor ducks behind Gruxx to allow the two elves to enter unimpeded. Glynquinal follows him, singing an impromptu jingle as he draws both swords. Turning to the (blue) redbrand, he slides down the front of the turning man, then stabs him in the eye, releasing a spray of blood, which showers the rogue. The (blue) redbrand also crumples.
OOC2: You could move five more feet, Glyn.
Ian steps into the room (C11), makes note that both close-range redbrands have been taken down, fires an arrow at (1=yellow, 2=black: 1) the redbrand closest to the opposite door to make sure no one escapes. (shortbow attack: 25, damage: 8 piercing damage) The arrow lands in the man's shoulder, and he looks down at it in disbelief.
Round 2: Gruxx, Rock (raging), HDP, yellow/black (injured), Glyn/Ian
The Herr Doktor Professor, inspired by Rock's amazing combination of punning and rage fighting ("Axe vice," he thinks, "that's one I need to remember."), follows the dragonborn's lead into battle.
Moving alongside the dragonborn (to E8), he lunges with his rapier at the Redbrand (black) standing in front of the door: 19,9 damage.
"A door," the Herr Doktor Professor thinks. "What door?" For the first time he realizes that there is another door in this room! They must stop the Redbrands from retreating in that direction!
OOC: I couldn't see the door looking at the map from my phone. If these guys disengage and fall back, they'll call down reinforcements on us.
After Glynquinal cuts down the (blue) redbrand, Gruxx steps on the body, moving north. He raises his glaive over his head, yelling, "No mercy!" He pulls the weapon down in a great arch. The redbrand brings his arm up to block the attack and it saves the man's head, but his arm from below the elbow to his hand goes flying. A scream of pain fills the room. The arm lands on top of the table, and the piles of coins are scattered, many falling to the floor. Rock moves to intercept the other redbrand, saying, "You look like you want to play. Let me give you some axe vice." The man looks confused, but is able to dodge the barbarian's attack, seemingly ignoring the arrow shaft protruding from his shoulder. Following closely behind, though, Herr Doktor is able to get his attack through the (black) redbrand's defenses, ramming his rapier between two ribs (hey, it worked the last time!). Once again, as he extracts the blade, the man collapses to the floor and bleeds and bleeds.
Glynquinal, you're up! One left, and he's injured.

Glynquinal seeing the door as the Black redbrand collapses moves quickly to take up C7 and corner the last one scrambling over two bodies in the process. Bringing his short swords into play once again, he slashes at the torso, and neck of his foe.

Glynquinal looking to Gruxx, "How are you feeling? Care to go again in another room?"
Gruxx looks at the head Rock gave him and frowns at Glynquinal.
"Body is fine. Mind is not."
Gruxx dumps his old bugbear head on the ground with a splat.
"When we killed this one I thought it was special. Thought it was rare. Now, we just killed three! I need a new trophy...
Gruxx raises his glaive.
"Let us find one!"
