Dagon raises an eyebrow at Humphry's words. "A man is in there? A human?" The half-orc will move closer to his gnome companion but keep his eyes on the door in question, heavy brow sloped forward in consideration and tusked maw turned down in a scowl. Glancing down at Humphry, Dagon asks, "Is it one of other hunters, or another of this cave's abominations?"
Realizing that the gnome probably didn't have a thorough collection of information considering he'd only just gotten a glimpse of the figure, the half-orc marauder turns toward the door and raises a large, meaty fist. "Lets see if he answers." He mutters before banging loudly three times on the door with the bottom of his hand.
*BANG BANG BANG*
"Do you hear me in there? Answer friend or foe, or your life is forfeit!" The half-orc's voice is loud and deliberately threatening.
"D-d-didn't seem too friendly" He scratches his chin, "Or alive for th-that matter." When there is silence, Humphry listens closely for the sound of moaning or heavy labored breathing. Perception 4
Pretty banged up after the dragon, jelly, and everything else, Perry let's out an exaggerated sigh, "Is this still a tournament?" Moving away from the others and toward a wall, he'd pull out one of the potions he bought at the bazaar and drink it down.
Humphry gave the human a disdainful scowl, "Didn't y-y-you know what you were g-getting yourself into? Pathetic." His focus shifts back to the door as the creature lurches against it. He readies Chill Touch in case Dagon decides to open the door and fight this thing.
Dagon glares at the door and swears a searing oath in Giant before glancing down at Humphry. "I think you are right, little hunter. Maybe not alive... definitely not friendly." The marauder glances across the room at the south doors and considers the option briefly, then turns to address his companions once again.
"We can try south if you want, pack mates. Only, that is the direction in which those many voices lie. Here," Dagon jerks a thumb in the door's direction, "we have only the one being in there but it will undoubtedly be a fight, and I won't force that upon you if you don't desire it. Speak your desire; north and the fight, or south and the unknown."
Smiling back at the half-orc, Humphry responds, "We are h-here to fight, so l-l-let's fight." He once again readies Chill Touch for when Dagon opens the door and the creature is revealed.
"Well said, vicious hunter! Let our ancestors rejoice at their kin who so boldly embrace bloody conflict, and let the Gods of our enemies weep for the death we visit upon their children today."
Dagon readies his massive greataxe and grips the handle tightly, eager to sink it's menacing edge into yielding flesh. The hulking marauder looks to his companions and raises three meaty fingers and slowly counts down.

Then he swings the door open wide and, taking a step back to clear the doorway, bellows a wild and feral roar of challenge at the creature lurking within. Let the battle commence!

The figure, a ghoul, goes down under the barrage of attacks before it even makes the open door. A second ghoul steps out of the shadows and advances with the typical foolishness to be expected of a creature without a brain.
Once again, targeting a creature of the dead with the force of the dead, Humphry will cast Chill Touch at the next ghoul (which, will give it disadvantage on its next attack on me if it hits, because it is undead).

A low gurgling responds to Dagon's demands, and a heavy body slams into the opposite side of the door.

Kic just sits about 15 feet from the door looking around the room scratching his ear with his hind leg.
Perry chuckles at Humphrys response, begins to say something but stops short. Instead pulling out his bow and readying an arrow.
