I will keep stalking through the mist quietly sniffing for prey. Caesar follows along right begind me. Im growing impatient with not finding the hobgoblins yet and Caesar senses it.
I will move at full speed. No point in trying to be stealthy while glowing. I will move to the bottom of H column while searching for hobgoblins. a
Everyone searches through the mist and come out to see Jason and Thalica on the southern border of the mists. Meanwhile Travis is awake thanks to Grant. No one has seen any hobgoblins.
Travis, thanks Grant for the healing solution. He feels the soothing energy revitalize him. He decides to further heal himself some more. Retrieves a scroll from his shoulder sack. He reads it and immediately it dissolves and more healing power fills his being.
Travis hit points = 18/15 He has consumed one lesser vigor scroll, 3 remain.
Travis gets out his morning star. Ready for another attack, but still sees a blanket of fog around him. He moves a few feet back from his location. So as not to remain in the same location.
I grimace in pain as i bounce off small tree whike racing through the fog. Coming clear of it I see the fleeing hobgoblins juat up ahead. Running even faster I quickly run them down. I strike viciously with my talons and foreclaws while ripping at them with my razor sharp teeth.
On learning that the hobs are escaping to the north, I call out this fact to everyone in the fog and start hustling in that direction, hoping to close the distance enough to launch a fireball or do something else to slow their escape.
Once I see Travis has his own care well in hand, and hearing Jason bellow about the escapees, I quickly feel my way around the boles of the trees and move fast through the dozen or so feet to exit the fog cloud. Once clear, I orient my direction with Ariel's help and pursue the fleeing creatures.
OOC - 1 round moving carefully (1/2 speed) then running full 40'x4 speed.

“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
Rachel catches with the fleeing hobgoblins and a fight starts out. They turn to attack her back. Rachel hits one for 17 damage killing it as the other one swings at her but misses her. She attacks this one back hitting him for 8 damage. It swings back at her but misses again. Everyone else is two rounds behind her.
As the last one falls, I turn and race back towards my friends. Caesar wanders around in the fog for a short time before making his way out. Upon seeing me he rejoins the others as i do.
I let out a sigh of relief as ping reports that Rachel has finished off the runners. I take a look around, "Any badly injured aside from Travis? Check the enemy fallen, make sure they're either dead or trussed up for questioning."
Checking up on Travis, I'll say, "I am glad to see you're recovering. You need to be a little more careful with that fog spell, it can be a good idea if we're being charged or fired upon from a superior position, but not so much when they are already on top of you. You just made it harder for us to help, and gave them a chance to get away, it is fortunate that Rachel is so fast in that form, or they likely would have succeeded. Next time you're caught out in a bad position like that, if may be best to duck out and retreat towards allies who can lend a hand."
We will make sure to take the magic stones and any other items worth lugging around. If none of the enemy are in any condition to talk, we'll regroup to keep moving. If some are, we'll get set up to try asking questions, in hopes that they're more compliant than the last prisoner we had.
FYI Taking the withdraw action let's you retreat at twice your move speed without incurring aoos
"If everyone has recovered, let's head back and get the horses, and get back to the patrol. The fewer enemies, the better. Are we ever going to check out that outpost we spotted before?" I ask, as we gather what loot there is and pack it back to our steeds.

I nod in response to Grant's question, "Yeah, I figured we'd head there today or tomorrow. Heck, perhaps we can get a decent night's rest there if they're friendly enough. But we need to keep an eye out in regards to what these buggers get up to. Is everyone ready to move out? Lets get going while the suns are still up."
We'll get moving again, using the scouts to keep track of the enemy and gauge their reaction to yet another two patrols going missing.
You all head back to get your horses and find them where you left them with no issues. You climb back into the saddle and head in a north direction again. The scouts can tell you that there is more activity further north and they can see that you are about a day away from the large body of water and the trading post. They do not see any Hobgoblins close to your position but there are two groups of Dire wolves and another group they are not so sure about as it seems a mix of humans and others. Are they just scouting ahead of you?
"So, does anyone remember the name of the guy that wrote that note. If we head to the trading post, we need to know if they're affiliated with him. That should tell us how welcome we are there. At the very least I want to see if anyone there has any maps. Do we have any money on us? I've been going off of what you guys give me but it's been like the military, I get food supplies and a place to stay but no actual funds for myself. Either way, buy or steal them, it would save us tons of time if we know more about this land."
"Yeah, I've got a pouch of gold on me. There's not much in it, but its better than nothing. We can also trade some of this gear from the hobs. I figured it would be a long time before there was a chance of us doing serious trading, and lugging all the coin we have around out here in the wilderness seems like a good way to lose cash. You're free to take what spending money you might need from the coffers back at the keep by the way. I just ask that people be able to justify anything expensive."
"In any case, I think we need to make contact with this group of humans. Suggestions on doing so in an appropriately cautious fashion? We could have one of the scouts literally drop a message on them."
In regards to the scouts, if Grant doesn't have a better idea... While we're on the move, I think the default would be for one to make loops around our current position, while the other makes "stabs" off into the distance before returning. The latter would mostly be watching what's ahead, the former in all directions.
KN, the mixed group, humans and what else?

Thalica and I split up a bit, spreading out to keep watch on more ground, without losing sight of each other.
Heading to K14 and E20, each of us with a readied action to attack any hostiles that emerge from the fog.
Everyone searches through the mist and come out to see Jason and Thalica on the southern border of the mists. Meanwhile Travis is awake thanks to Grant. No one has seen any hobgoblins.
I'll follow Rachel as I have no way to aid Travis. With the boots, my speed is 40'.

All the hobgoblins are dead None are alive to question.

"Thank you Jason I will make note of that in future. It was a gambit that had bad consequences for me," Travis added.
"Perhaps a tactical retreat will be in order for next time,"? He adds.
He hears Grant talking about heading back to the horses. "Yep, that sounds like an idea," he says then goes and does likewise.
I nod in response to Grant's question, "Yeah, I figured we'd head there today or tomorrow. Heck, perhaps we can get a decent night's rest there if they're friendly enough.
