Avan tenses all his muscles and holds his breath ad his knuckles gripping the staff go white. "Gods above and below!" he whispers harshly. "I was hoping to not grab our opponents attention and let them know we're coming. I for one do not want to go down just yet. Shall we go and check the other corridor?"
Bastion raises a mechanical eyebrow, "They already know we are coming, are you saying that you would have preferred to march into that blackness without trying to find out what is below? At least we can now be pretty sure that there is a trap or ambush waiting for us down there, and that it will take more than a simple torch not to stumble into it. This darkness is obviously not natural, do any among us have the means to counter it? If not, then yes I suggest we explore elsewhere for now. I also suggest sealing this door so it is difficult to open from the other side, any objections?"
If people like the idea of blocking off the door, Bastion will take a hammer and several nails out of his pack before hammering them into the spaces between the door and its frame. Just enough to make it very difficult to push open, especially without making noise, but not so far in as to make it difficult to remove the nails later.
Ok going to award some experience here for people to help in everything. Bastion, Avan, Dena, Arilynia, all get 12,000 experience. Kixarn You get 1,000 and Katharine and Ghanima you both get 3,400. Remember you go back to zero after each level to get the needed experience to make the next level.

Rivoril likes the idea of sealing off this door. Then makes a suggestion. "Good, idea Bastion allow me to assist you with sealing up the door and even locking it again," He says, then proceeds to go and assist him.

"Alright," Avan says, "we've done what we can here, let's check the other paths."
Avan leads the group to the next door at AH50, carefully looking all around as he goes. At the door, he switches spots with Rivoril and let's him double check the door and unlock it.
Likewise, Rivoril heads off down the passage with Avan. Checking, and searching for traps along the way. Reaching the door checking to see if its locked? If it is will attempt to unlock it.
You do all you can to secure the door to the room before heading back to check the next door. No traps are found and when opened it reveals a small 20X20 room that looks like it once was used for storage at one time but is now empty all the shelves along the wall are empty and nothing remains except the wood of the shelves that looks like it is about ready to collapse due to time.

Katharina frowns as they leave the door into darkness behind. She is driven to destroy the vampire that resides here and hates that they aren't able to see through the darkness downstairs.
She glances over her shoulder at the huge jackal behind her. Quite the interesting animal she thinks. Striding along on cat's feet, she makes no noise as they travel. Gripping her kukri's tightly in each hand she longs for another opportunity to drive the evil from this place and village.
Bastion shakes his head, "I don't think it wise to head down yet, we need to recuperate and find a counter for that darkness enchantment if we can. I think we should sweep out the other passage on this level. Unless I miss my guess, that's where the foe's living servants are quartered, like the trolls and ogres. Agreed?"
"You seem to have a grip on the situation here and there are enough of us to keep watch in shifts. I like this plan. We did push hard to get here and catch up with you all." Ghanima said matter of factly.

Silent as usual as the group progresses, Kix has nothing to add, all too aware of his lack of magical resources at this moment. Sling still ready, he keeps his raven back at his shoulder, watching the passages and room they pass, as well as keeping an eye on possible secret doors.

Avan replies to Ghanima, "After our midday meal I actually have most of my powers and they are quite potent. Maybe I should give you my curative wand in case you use up all your magical energy," he offers.
Avan sees no reason that this shelving needs to stay intact, so he starts ripping it apart and puling it down from the walls. He saves a few of the driest planks of wood for burning later - in lieu of oil it could enable the same tactics of burning out their enemies as we'd done with the undead on the first night. He also does a final check of the walls to ensure there's no other passages...

The Group makes it back to the main passage with no issues. You will see a 15 foot corridor leading deeper into the ground as it slants downward still. You can see a full 60 feet if you have dark vision otherwise 30 feet from torches.

Before entering the tunnel, Bastion tells the others, "Careful, a band of well armed ogres went down this path before. They were clever enough to use a false wall to lay an ambush for us, and retreated when we turned the tables on them."
Bastion stays shortly behind Rivoril, since he is able to see a little further than the rogue, they move slowly, watching for traps and ambushes.

Bastion quickly lights a torch and drops it over the edge.
The torch drops down and down where it is enveloped by darkness you think you hear it hit the bottom but am not sure just how far down it went.
