Eya screams in frustration as the Lillend gets away. Like Abraxxus, she pounds her fist into a wall, though unlike Abbraxxus, she does little damage to the stone. She has a fiery anger in her eyes as she paces back and forth, clearly thinking intently. Before long, she begins gathering supplies and her things.
She finds Kiven alone and vents to him for quite some time, “I can’t believe those USELESS good for nothing demons, UGH! They had one job! ONE ******* JOB! OUR magic was on point, OUR magic kept us alive! All they had to do was follow through!” The tiefling is extremely upset and angry.
After the vent session, she quickly gets back to work. “Prince Aloro, I have a lot of work to do. I have an idea for a couple of new spells, but we need to go to town immediately. We need men to get this place into shape, we need magic items created and bolstered, and we need new spells to help secure this lair. I’ll send word to the Cardinal for aid as well. I have an idea on how to easily transport all this stuff so that we can sell it in town. There are still secrets in this place to learn, a golem to fix, holes to patch, traps to repair, and much more. Let’s go.”
---
Eya finds Grumblejack. “Hey stop! Just for a minute Grumblejack,” she says to the ogre. “Before you start eating those elves, I need one of their brains. Now, carry one to the lab for me, Grumblejack.”
Eya goes to find Blau, “I need your help as well for this as well. I don’t want to risk failure here and we need this golem operational. Also, let’s get Master Aloro so that we can identify this stupid rod already.” She seems understandably cranky, fiery, and determined to get this job back on track.
Eya goes back to her room, allowing visitors and helpers like Blau, Grumblejack, and Prince Aloro from time to time, and locks herself away for hours. She carefully studies the golem and fills the golem’s acid tank with 10 fluid ounces of acid by utilizing the acid pool from the caverns. She also begins work on crafting the alchemical fire and begins making one per day.
With Blau’s help, Eya attempts to separate the elf’s head from his body and integrates it into the alchemical golem. Once finished, she turns to Grumblejack, “Here, you can have the rest. Don’t forget to share with Abbraxxus or he will be really sad.”
She cleans herself and the room with magic then makes her way to the treasure room to find Abbraxxus. “Abbraxxus, I need your strength. We have to move this treasure to the city so that we can convert it all into your favorite thing, gold. To do that, I’m going to make it easy to transport. She pulls out a large tent and flattens the fabric out onto the ground. Help me pile this gold onto this flattened tent, and then tie it up like a giant bag for me will you?”
Eya places her hand on the bag and chants a spell, then suddenly the tent-bag is gone. Instead, in her palm is a small piece of cloth that resembles the once large tent-bag. She grins wickedly, then says, “Now it will be easy to transport this without anyone noticing the treasure while we travel.”
---
Eya prepares for travel after gathering most of the sellable valuables. The next day, she asks the party, “Well then, is everyone ready for a shopping trip?”
Overnight, she crafts a pearl of power and more alchemist's fire for the golem. And she also sends word to the Cardinal, "Your Eminence, we require aid at the Horn. We need men, laborers and guards alike. We are on our way back to Farholde for supplies. Can you send us any aid to secure the Horn? Thank you, Hail Asmodeus."
Lots of stuff going on here so I will put it in list form. Daishain, let me know if any of this is not okay and I can edit things.
1. Eya will ask Blau for a Touch of Law to help with the Alchemical Golem's brain. That should bring the Alchemy check up to a 25 for the brain installation (11 Touch of Law + 13 Alchemy Skill + 1 circumstance bonus from Portable Alchemy Kit). She also fills the Acid compartment of the golem. She does a take 10 to create one bottle of Alchemist's fire per day for the next 8 days or so. After that, she will move on the Alchemical Ice. 2. Eya will attempt once again to Identify the mystery rod with the help of Kiven and Blau's Guidance. I will roll for that below. She will also use the help action to give Kiven a +2. She can't fail that so I won't bother rolling. 3. Eya took the 3rd level spells, Haste and Shrink Item during level up. She is using Shrink Item to transport the treasure back to Farholde and to make us less attractive to attack on the road since we wont have thousands of gold worth of treasure visibly on us. She stores the cloth versions in her haversack. 4. Eya takes the schematics of the golem with her and keeps it in her haversack. 5. Finally, she sends word to Cardinal Thorn on the current plan.

On hearing the proper use of the Gemstones, Blau offers to install them with the acolytes help. Before heading to the peack room with the stones, he pauses long enough to chat with GrumbleJack "Mighty one, if it's not too much trouble, can you leave all the bones of your meals for my use later? I will use them to create an army to help us defend this place."
With blood from the fallen foes as a poetic justice, he ignites the magic within the Eyes and restores the basic protections of the Horn using the various functions to view around the mountain. Later, he assists Eya in her efforts as need, his Lord's magic easing the labor involved in the restoration of the Golem. During the time available, he finds a room to prepare and empower mighty skeletons, energized by both his Lord's divine blessing and the Eye's aura of might, setting these enhanced undead as guards for the entrances to the Horn.

Abraxxus looks suspiciously as the gold shrinks with the smaller package. " I like hiding this gold. There is no need though. No one would dare take this gold from me. " Smoke exits his nostrils again and looks around as if to challenge someone to try.
As Blau bathes the emeralds in the blood of the fallen elves, they begin to glow. As they are placed in the eye sockets of the shrine to Vetra Kali, they begin to burn with green flame. The entire Horn begins to hum with an ominous aura, one that soon fades from the senses for the living, but remains for those with the means to see such magics.
The priest quickly finds that if he focuses on the emeralds, he can conjure an image of any part of the horn and its immediate surroundings. With practice, the sensor moves swiftly enough that it is possible to sweep every room in the entire place from top to bottom in only a few minutes, considerably less time was needed to cover the main passages. Tests show that the sensor sees through any form of illusion that the group knows how to muster.
Grumblejack shrugs at the requests to move a body around and then leave his leftovers for Blau. Not long after the oread made the request, a bloody heap of bones was found piled outside of whatever chamber he had claimed for himself.
The installation of the brain is gory work, but thanks to patience and care on the part of those involved, it goes well enough, and soon the enchantments designed to keep it alive begin to hum as they resume their function. Of course this does little else for now, since the rest of the golem lacks any sort of power source and its central gearing is missing a piece.
Well after the fight, Celarel is found sobbing in a corner on one of the upper floors. She had been there at the start of the ambush, but apparently found herself unable to bring herself to fire at an elf and ran off.
Several hours after Eya sends a message to the Cardinal, she gets a reply. "I presume this means the horn is yours. Peons will begin arriving at Farholde within the week. For further aid go through Elise. Hail Asmodeus."
---
For those going, the journey back to Farholde is quiet. The forest seems to be mourning the death of Jurak. You can feel a sullen anger directed your way. The transportation of the wealth found is certainly much easier thanks to Eya's spell, turning it from a wagon load into something that could be slung over a shoulder.
As you approach Farholde, you are reminded that it is not exactly safe territory. If visiting the duke he had asked you to enter through a secret passage outside of the walls. If entering the town proper, it might be wise to check in with the White Ravens first, who were tasked with watching over the place.
Kiven decides to stay behind and keep an eye on Calarel, Hexor, Vexor, Abraxxus, Jack and the cultist, and keep watch for the illithid. He gives Eya a list of materials he'd like purchased, and instructions to send his greetings to the Baron as appropriate.
(will come up with a list for Eya, and need to resolve Calarel with Daishain)
Respar will return to Farholde with some of the others. He will help negotiate purchases, and see if he can glean any intelligence about the Ravens and what they have been up to, considering trying to go through their things.
The night before the trip to Farholde, Eya begins the process of enchanting her spellbook. It's a work in progress and will take a few more days to complete. To the others who join in on the trip to Farholde, Eya says just before they reach town, "We should check in with Elise to let her know we're in town for a couple days to hire men and gather supplies. After that, we can use the secret passage to meet with the Baron to discuss converting our treasure to gold. Then, we can work on hiring others and shopping for supplies. I'll be busy for the next two days as well learning magic for the defense of our new lair."
Eya is working on crafting a Blessed Book. Starting the night before the trip, and taking one night during the trip, means she needs two days in Farholde to finish it and scribe spells. Going to meet with Elise first then say hi to the baron after.
The group heading to Farholde swing by the summer estate where the White Ravens are based. Only Elise and Dostan are there at the time. the other two are in town. Elise tries but fails to hide her disappointment at your swift success at the horn. She grudgingly acknowledges that she needs to organize and pass on the aid the Cardinal was sending, and does not report any current problems in the town.
The secret passage is not easy to find, even though you were shown its location and how to open it only a few days before. The interior seems to be well built and reasonably maintained. Soon enough, you find yourself in the Duke's library, waiting on the man himself to show up.
Upon hearing your request to launder the plundered valuables, he grimaces, "I can do as much, but this community does not have the kind of funds to move all of this at once. I can convert it a little at a time, or we can take it further on to a large city whose merchants can handle it all if we split it up. The former would take a good bit longer but might involve less risk."
---
Those back at the horn begin to deal with the place's current state and its inhabitants. The boggard tribe, on inspection, are fairly small and weak. Zikomo asks for permission to send some of his warriors to spread the word and find recruits from elsewhere. He also mentions that many strong beasts inhabit these wilds, some could be captured and made to defend this place.
There is an incredible amount of dust, dirt, and trash to get rid of. You will certainly need help with all of it. Still, a few rooms to house the group are not too much of a hassle to clear out. There is a severe lack of functional furniture, simple bedrolls would have to do for the moment.
The acolyte you freed from the stone begins to recover the details of the rituals found in the murals. Soon enough he has one of them transcribed for your use. It instructs upon a means of changing simple dogs into something more.
Ritual: Call Forth the Hounds, may only be performed once a year, If three guard dogs (25 gp each) are poisoned with a very specific preparation (costing 2400 gp in total) and then ritually slaughtered, they will rise as hell hounds in life-long service to whoever cut the guard dog’s throat.
Once the Duke has stated his opinion, Blau says "I'm not sure, but I think we should take the time we have to get the funds laundered properly in the big city. It's there that we may find the items we want to enhance our abilities to properly serve our Lord. We have a bit of a shopping list that I doubt this little hamlet can fulfill."

Eya, now disguised as her human alter ego, Martha, heads into town to find the Silver Finch. She proceeds inside to try and sell as much of the gold silverware as she can.
To the merchant, she introduces herself and says, "Hello there, my name is Martha and I was wondering if you might be interested in purchasing some fine golden silverware. I'm trying to liquidate some of my assets you see. Might you be interested?"
She shows the merchant a sample golden spoon and fork for him to appraise. "I have a lot more where this came from and it could certainly be sold at a high price. I'm sure you can see the quality for yourself."
So we have as a reminder here 30k gold worth of gold silverware and 10k gold worth of silver silverware that I have written down. Also if we can find a place to sell a Knobkerrie with a Returning enchantment and a 350 gold Ruby then we can try to sell those as well.

The merchant is excited over the valuable pieces, and sends his assistant out with messages to other merchants arranging to borrow additional funds. It takes a while but he eventually completes a fairly extensive purchase, handing over a large bag of platinum coins.
While in the area, you are contacted by Trik and Trak, who coldly confirm that things are going well on their end.
You guys sold 5,000 gp worth here, it will be a few months before this guy can climb back out of the hole you just put him in though.
The group's business in the city over, they proceed back to the Horn. The next week passes by relatively peacefully. You begin settling into this strange and dark place where you'll be spending most of a year.
The White Ravens show up one day, leading a fair sized group of people. The newcomers show a mixture of eagerness, fear, and awe as they arrive. They are the promised minions sent by Thorne, and have been sworn to assist you in any and all tasks as you deem necessary.
Dostan Alfson throws a squirming bundle at your feet as well. Elise scowls as she states, "Our information tells us that this one bears the blood you asked for. To the best of our knowledge he's the direct descendent of one of the cultists. Should do the trick."
