Pok'im takes a look at the door bends down and grasps the ring and (Strength roll 10) and heaves it up. He then has a quick look down into the darkness (Perception 17). He then turns to the party and says "TADAH! Pok'im has opened the door" he claps his hands with glee and hops excitedly from one foot to another and then turns to the party and says "wot we do now?"
Pokim opens the door and as he does a small cloud of dust comes with it. As he looks down into the hole he can see a spiral staircase leading down a ways. It is pitch black but because he has darkvision he can see that it goes down around twenty feet and ends in a small stone room but he cannot make out any more information about the room unless he goes down the hole.
Vruuk wafts any dust that makes it to him away, and leans in as well for a look if possible. "Hm. Yaw'll think they come here? Fer safety?" He looks to the others. Then he thinks about what he just said, and bows his head. "Naw. Come to think of it. The bed wouldn't been in the way, 'less... " he trails off grumbling to himself. "I dunno." He looks up to Pok'im. "Rock, Parchment, Shears? Winner goes down first?"He asks his brother as he gets ready for the game.

Pok'im looks at Vruuk and says "Pok'im not know why but Vruuk always win this game."Before Vruuk has even finished the count Pokim says "rock"which of course means that Vruuk can say 'parchment' and Pok'im loses again. "See I told you" he says to Vruuk. Pok'im gets ready to go down the tunnel as stealthily as possible (Stealth roll: 18)using his Pike to prod the way in case of any traps (Perception roll: 4). "Pa always say yuh gotta be real careful and slow when yuh is goin' someplace new" he says to himself. Realising he was going a bit fast and not checking as carefully as he could, Pok'im slows down and takes time (Guidance roll: 2 for total perception check of '9')
Vruuk looks away and lets out a innocent whistle. But as Pok'im predicted, Vruuk won again. The smug grin quickly diminishes as Vruuk looks back down to the tunnel. "Uh... On second thought, you can go first, brother." He grins sheepishly, and rubs the back of his head. He follows not far behind his brother, though will stop to look back at the others. "You gon' be fine with the steps, Brother Ash?"Once he had his answer he keeps going following an awkward look.

(centaur are medium sized and so while I would like you to RP a little bit of struggling, mechanics wise I wont impose any penalties unless you are literally climbing up ropes or ladders or a rock wall or something)
As Pokim makes his way down the staircase with his pike held out in front of him, he notices fresh footprints in the thick dust covering the stairs and stone floor. At the bottom of the staircase he sees an engraving on wall next to an opening to a hallway.
Pok'im knows better than to run his fingers over engravings cos Ma whaled on him real bad once for tracing something on her mirror. He can't read but can he describe the engraving?
(Lol, at first I read it like you were actually closing the hatch :P )
So once down at the bottom of the stairs, you find yourselves in a pretty small room, about 20 x 20 ft and with what appears to be a 10ft wide tunnel on the opposite side of the room rom the stairs. To the left of the tunnel engraved in the stone is a messages that says "Do not seek the book of tears because that is all that it will bring"
"I'm going to follow this," Ash adds in a whisper pointing to the tunnel and for the first time in his life draws a shield and mace his mother gave him. "We need to be quiet," he adds still whispering holding his finger to his lips next looking to ALL that came down.
(so we wait to see if pokim will try to open the door :P)
(I'm holding out he knocks)

(Don't forget the guidance, Pok'im, you butt)
Didn't forget but figured a '20' should be sufficient. If not I can according to spell description add it later.

OOC: I figure this would be a little hard for Ash yeah?

(I'm gonna tell Ma. *closes the hatch*)
(did darastrix close it after going in the hole or close it while still outside standing in the bedroom)
(Darastrix hasn't done anything)
