Darastrix would offer his thanks to Pok'im before heading over to Vruuk and telling the other about the collapsed mine shaft in the basement and Kit believing people had broken in to kidnap the orphans and take Ma and Pa.
"Not sure if it was the people in town, but you can be sure I will eat everyone of them if it was. I just can not figure out why anyone would come here."
From the entrance of the room, ash can see what looks like multiple sets of fresh footprints going across the floor from the hallway to the pedestal and back to the hallway.
(So right now Ash is the only one still in the secret room right? everyone else is either in Ruby and Slates room or the kitchen? well... other than Kulsee... she might be riding on Ash's back...)
Vruuk frowns and folds his arms across his chest. "Ma said no eat'n people. So no eat'n 'em." He states firmly. "... It is weird tho'. Had a bad dream just like this last night... I hope the others are okay."He bows his head solemnly. "Eitha way, we gonna need to go in town today just to make sure. 'fore anything else bad 'appens… Tho'... what we gonna do 'bout Kit?"
Darastrix growls at Vruuk's response, not wanting to be reminded of what Ma or Pa didn't like if they're the ones in trouble. "We'll go to town. I know exactly where to go. As for Kit, maybe we can drop her off at that farm near Haggers with that other kid..."
The lizard would look about the room, "Where's Ash and Kulsee? We should get on this. "
Vruuk lowered his chin at the growl, wanting to avoid any sneaky bite attacks there. He still carried the scars from at least once incident in their distant youth beneath the fur... though not necessarily due to Darastrix. "Mm, Mm! Mm? Uhh…."Vruuk looks back towards the hole room. "Still down there, I'm think'n. Ma and Pa were protect'n somethin' from what I was able to understand. Somethin' 'portent enough to--" He starts to make a slashing notion across his neck. But then, he remembers he was talking to Darastrix, and just gestures back to the body.
"Make things not so lively no more. Think'n it had to do with the story Ma and Pa used to tell us about some Book of Tears."

When you realize you're doing too much: Signature.
As you examine the engravings of the dwarven faces...as well as the face of the man above the pedestal, they look somewhat familiar to you but you are not sure if you know the faces or not... as you get closer to the holes in the engravings where the eyes should be, you stick your hand into the hole a small ways and can feel the tips of your fingers get wet with what feels like condensation.
The engraving on the front of the pedestal says "Anyone that seeks the book of tears shall drown in sorrow.. for that is what the book brings".
On the pedestal with the engraved text, a book sits on a metal bookstand that seems to be attached to the pedestal. The book itself is closed and appears to just be a leather bound book resting on the bookstand.
(that is all you are getting with your investigation (15) of the room, you neither need to rp some more specific investigation of anything you still have questions about or see if someone else will investigate the room also...)
Darastrix having nothing left to say, would go down into the secret dungeon once lighting another torch, allowing Vruuk to lead so as to avoid the pressure plates and spike pit.
Vruuk did indeed lead the way. As they go, he'll also mention what happened with the body, and warns Darastrix off taking a nibble. Beyond these things, Vruuk is as quiet and lack-a-dasical as ever. "Hey Ashhh! Asssshhh! Oh, hey! There he'iz. Watch'u find, brother man?"He asks before his attention turns to looking at the freaking statues. "Oooh… Those ain't forboding at all."

Having cleaned up the kitchen and leaving it as spotless and no different to how he found it - with perhaps the exception of an odour of burnt pancakes hanging around - Pok'im joins in with rest of the group as they head downstairs.
Kulsee, hearing that Kit is upstairs and no one is up there with her will offer to keep the young tabaxi company and scamper back out of the hole and into the kitchen.
Everyone else is in the entrance to the northern room described above and I would assume that Ash has relayed everything he has found out about the room so far maybe? What are ya all doing now? I would say your positions in the room are m5 n5 o5 p5 ...
Lol, that is fine. I was just trying to indicate that I assumed you were all at least in the room. You can stick yourselves wherever you want in the room.. it is fine... totally fine...
