The man looks down at the very small robed figure and then over to the slightly larger gnome nearby... "Alright, I am not sure where you think you are going to find medicine around this end of town but I guess if you are with yer dad.... Just stay out of the road would ya? A cart is going to kill someone of your size a lot faster than a sickness..." The man will say with a look of worry before continuing to push his cart down the road.
A moment later once the man is around the corner, The disguised goblin and kobold enter the tavern behind Veng. Vruuk and Pokim manage to maintain their stealth through town and manage to spot their siblings entering the tavern from their hidden location (Either a rooftop or alleyway, I will let you decide)
As you all enter the tavern, you are greeted by the smell of stale beer and sweat. There are four round tables spaced around an empty rectangular room, with a bar on the opposite end of the room from the door you came in. There are two very crude light fixtures hanging above the room casting a dim light through the place. The lights are essentially broken cart wheels with three lamps secured by ropes hanging from them. When you walk into the tavern, you spot the kobold sitting at one of the round tables on the left side of the room. There are a pair of shady looking humans sitting at one of the tables to the right and a powerful looking dwarf standing behind the bar with his arms folded watching you walk in. There are a few kegs and shelves of glasses behind him as well as a thick wooden door. "What ya want Huderp? Who are yer friends?" The black haired dwarf with thick hairy arms crossed would say. The Dwarf would stand completly still, his thick black braided beard hanging down over his arms and brown apron as his eyes move between each of you.
"C'mon son," grunted Gin with a teasing glint. She nods to the barkeep. "Glass of fine wine, none of that cheap-ass watered down bullshit," she says to him in her gruff faux voice, before pulling up a seat next to Veng.
If it looks like a nearby rooftop can support both of their ways, Vruuk would have motion for Pok'im to follow him up. Otherwise, he gestures for Pok'im to stay in the alley and keep watch while he climbed up alone to keep watch, longbow at the ready at any moment.

"Ya both better have the coin to pay fer yer drinks..." The dwarf says with a grumble, turning around and filling a thick wooden mug with some beer before grabbing a metal goblet and filling it with with a red liquid from a much smaller and very ornate keg located on top of the larger kegs of beer and ale. With a drink in each hand he stomps his way around the bar and hands the glass of wine to the gnome while grunting "That will be 10 silver...." Before making his way to the table and roughly dropping the mug of beer on the table in front of the human, causing a little of the head on the beer to slush over the edge and run down the side of the mug. "So where are yer friends... last time I saw ya you and yer buddies were pretty excited about yer gig ya lined up.... hope it paid well.... ya know the boys always enjoy takin yer money" the dwarf says motioning over his shoulder to the thick door behind him.
(the 10 silver was for the glass of expensive wine.. .I failed to have him give you a price but it would only be a few copper for the beer, I failed lol )
"Ha! You got that right kid" The kobold says before taking a swig of ale. "Most folks are alright... they just tend to keep their distance. But there are others that go out of their way to make life hard for folks like us..." he says, putting down his mug and leaning in close to Cinders. "But even the real big jerks need help with things... jobs that most people wont do... or can't do... like squeezing into the city sewers and digging our clogs. Sure the job isn't great but the pay is alright and I get left alone." The kobold says with a smile before leaving back in his chair and putting his claws behind his head. As the kobold leans back, the dim light dances across his face and chest, and you can see that while this kobold is very dirty and covered in what you hole is dried dirt... he seems to have red scales shining through in a few places.
(I had been waiting to get the perception check from Gin but I can add that later, I assume she is busy because she hasn't posted in any games today.)
Cinders, still in shock by the kobold fails to notice anything except the strong smell coming from his new kobold best friend. Veng manages to hear what sounds like cheering behind the heavy wooden door on the other side of the bar. He also notices that as the kobold lifts his arms and places his hands behind his head... that the kobold has scars on his wrists that look like they may have been done by manacles.
Outside, Vruuk and Pokim notice as a cart appears to pull up out front of the tavern. The cart seems a little out of place because it is much nicer than any of the other carts and wagons you have seen in this neighborhood. A few moments pass and you both see three figures emerge from the cart.
Pok'im looks down (Perception roll - 4) on the cart (I assume he managed to perceive a cart but not absolutely sure) and says to Vruuk in a stage whisper "Vrukk - why dat cart stop. Was horse tired? Should Pok'im go down and help Horse?"
Vruuk eyes narrows at the cart. "Mn. Maybe. Maybe its dem tho'. The folk we s'pose to be look'n out for..." He says, looking about for any signifiers on the cart to denote who it belonged to. "Stay ready, brother. Just in case."
Pokim is able to see the cart stop but cannot make out anything else as his hair blows around in his eyes due to the soft breeze blowing past on the rooftop. Vruuk is able to see three figures step out of the cart but he cannot make out much else about the figures other than they might be wearing some kind of robes as they pause for just a moment before they head inside.
Inside The Drunk Dog, just as the dwarf finished collecting his coin for the drinks and making his way back behind the bar, the front door to the tavern opened up. As the large door swung open, three robed individuals quietly enter and shut the door behind them. Their faces are obscured by the hoods of their robes and the dim lighting. You can each tell the figure in the most ornate silver robe is a woman based in the shape of her body. her figure is much more slender where as the figures flanking her are much broader and stronger looking, even through their robes you can see what appear to be bulges of muscle. As they enter the room they quickly scan the area before spotting Brunt Huderp. The woman will make a quick hand gesture and her two followers will move to the changelings table and flank him as the mysterious woman approaches him. "Hello Brunt... where are your companions? I assume your task is complete" she says calmly and gently from beneath her hood
"Mostly dead. Maybe all dead. Your land was invaded and a hive of beasts and abominations were there. No monsters survive and I may be the only one left. The blood, the fire, the screams.....I was hoping someone else would come back here. Is it really just me" as he finishes speaking he drains his mug and has his hands slightly shaking as he puts it down.
13 (performance or deception +3, persuasion +5 I assume I'll need 1 of these)
Cinders sits there in silence, contemplating what the Kobold said. Yet again he realises how fortunate he was to be taken in by Ma and Pa. Then as he spots the red scales, he almost panics before calmly excusing himself in Draconic and heads over towards Gin.

"Beer. I'm meeting someone. Don't worry about them, they're not staying long." Veng walks to the empty table near the Kobold and sits facing the door.

Cinders will go and sit next to the Kobold and without trying to draw any attention to himself, will whisper to the Kobold in Draconic.
"What are you doing here? I have been told this town is bias against certain races?"
