"invaded you say... interesting." The feminine voice says calmly from under her hood. "Well if the house has been burned to the ground as per our agreement... than I guess it is my turn to keep up my end of the bargin" the silver robed woman would say, calmly reaching towards her belt and pulling a small cloth sack from her belt before tossing it on the table in front of Brunt. "I guess your share of the gold will be a little larger than you had thought. You know... I am always looking for able bodied men that are willing to follow orders. You know the doors to our church are always open... and well... If your back and sword arm are strong enough, you may still be able to climb up through our ranks.... even of your faith isn't." she says gently, her voice soft and soothing like a song. As she finishes her sentence one of the much larger men behind Veng tosses a paper pamphlet on the table next to the small pouch of coins before they slowly turn and begin to make their way towards the door.
Cinders notices the kobold stiffen up as his eyes go wide when the figures enter the tavern before he leaves to join Gin at one of the other tables.
You notice right away it is identical to the paper pamphlet that was found on one of the dead bandits that attacked your house. It is titled "Serving the Silver Lady" with a picture of a large cathedral styled church sitting back behind a large weeping willow tree. You recognize it as largest church in Sleepy Timbers located in the center of town. Inside of the paper pamphlet it reads "Please join us in for warship! Our clerics and priests are available any time of day or night with services every morning at 7am and late night services at midnight every full moon...." below a list of service times and a small crude map of Sleepy Timbers with a church in the middle of town on the page there is a little more text. "Please help spread the good works of the Silver Lady! Donations of coin and time are always welcome! If you would like to learn about how you can better serve our beautiful goddess, please stop by the Shining Crescent Church and ask for Vanessa Moonseeker!"
As veng looks up from the pamphlet, he sees the three figures make their way out the door. One of the larger figures makes a point of knocking the red kobolds drink off the table on the way out the door. The moment they leave, the kobold exhales loudly in relief but his small clawed hands rattle against the wooden tabletop. The Dwarven barkeep also seems to relax just a bit once they leave the building.
Outside, Vruuk and Pokim watch as the figures casually climb up into their cart and it quickly makes a u-turn and returns down the road heading towards the center of town.
Vruuk nervously bites his lips, but eventually nods his ascent. "We go. Quietly. But we be quick. Stay to roofs and shadows."With a pat to Pok'im's shoulder and a nervous smile, he leads the proverbial charge to shadow the cart in secret. The others could do without them for another hour. Right?

Gin walked over, drinking from her cup as she leaned over Veng's shoulder to peer at the pamphlet. "By the Ghost, we either have the best or the worst luck, don't we?" she mused, leaning closer. "We need to find where that is."

(Pokim and Vruuk need to make stealth and acrobatics / athletics checks *you can pick which of the two you want to make, either acrobatics or athletics*)
Cinders follows Gin over towards Veng where he looks at the pamphlet. "That's no good.." He then lowers his voice and continues, "Do we really want to try and annoy people who seem to even make a dwarf nervous?"
(Where did we say Vignar was again? Outside the tavern or back at the house? Will edit most post depending on where the mastiff is)
She spoke in a quiet discreet tone. "They were the ones who claimed to own the land and sent people to burn it down. If anyone knows what happened to our p... to the Stonepheonixs, it'll be them. Hell, they could be responsible for it." She sat down, rubbing her head with a sigh. "Do we want to pursue right away? I can get us rooms here for the night, going back to the house is probably risky."

"What about the others? I don't want them going back looking for us. But I agree she is probably involved at a minimum. At least we got some of her gold" Veng looks down and discreetly counts what she gave.
Vruuk leaps from roof top to roof top, parkouring with some practiced ease. His body naturally directing itself upon a course that even his huge, shaggy body would hardly cause a creak in the wood beneath each landing. The tension disappearing over time to the point that a simple minded smile blooms. He looks back to Pok'im after some time, giving his brother a quiet thumbs up.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Pok'im follows Vruuk across the rooftops as nimbly (Athletics 12) and as quietly (Stealth 16) as he can. As a matter of fact it is as if a shadow was following the cart.
(I would say the mastiff was being held on a leash by Gin as you all made your way into the taven and he was sitting at the table next to her durning all of this... honestly I kind of forgot about the dog :D)
Both Pokim and Vruuk are able to keep up with the cart as they leap from rooftop to rooftop like large silent cats. Vruuk stumbles at one point as a few shingles slide beneath his feet but he manages to keep his footing and continue on. After about ten minutes of constant running and jumping and ducking out of sight, Both bugbears watch the cart as it rolls to a stop in front of a large cathedral in the center of town. Once stopped, three figured make their way out of the cart and head inside the church, blending in a bit with many of the other townsfolk walking around the busy streets here at the town square. The Cart then begins making its way away from the church towards a different area of town.
Gin, Veng, and Cinders (and Vignar) are now sitting in a quiet tavern. The kobold at the table raises a shaky hand and asks for another beer and the dwarf quietly fills up another mug and places it on the table. You all notice that he doesn't bother asking for any coin.
It looks pretty nice but it doesn't have any business names on it or appear to be any kind of taxi. You can both give me a religion check and perception check if you want.

Pocket the gold and read the paper. No verbal response.

(@Wreck Do we recognize the cart as local business owned one, or something that could be privately owned?)
