Gobber, you recall that Bobcats are excellent hunters, stalking prey with stealth and patience, then capturing their meals with one great leap. They are usually solitary and territorial animals. They have keen smell and can pounce.
DM Note: Gobber, Healer, Bobcat, Angie, Thokein (underline indicates who’s turn it is currently).
Gobber, the Bobcat is currently on top of your chest. So, assuming your backpack was within reach of where you were laying you slide the it over to you and grab the short sword from it as you yell at the beast.
I’ll say you can stab at it, or make a general strength check to push it off as your action.
Hearing Gobber’s cry alerts Healer to danger. He rises from his sentry’s rest and sees the Bobcat on top of Gobber. Healer senses Gobber is wounded and says from across the fire “repair this vessel”.
Gobber you regain 4 points of health from healing word.
Angie, roused by the commotion, quickly takes stock of what is occurring and makes an elaborate gesture with her hands, casting guiding-bolt at the ferocious beast.
The Bobcat screeches in pain as the blade from Thokien’s great-axe bites deep into its side. A great spray of blood releases from the wound as the blade pulls away from the torn flesh.
DM Note: Reminder that youguys are fighting at night right now, so don’t forget to roll attack rolls at disadvantage if you lack darkvision (if something adds an advantage then it’s a straight roll). Don’t worry about adjusting anything that’s already happened though, it’s my fault for forgetting to mention it earlier.
Top of the round. The Bobcat is looking very hurt.
(The bobcat was knocked from your chest by Angie’s guiding bolt, but it’s still near you, so you can go for it.)
Strength save:21
Gobber sees the bobcat is losing blood quickly and lunges against its side in an attempt to bring the cat down. But, the cat is still too strong and throws Gobber off with a frenzied yowl.
Healer adopts a more aggressive stance. He raises his quarterstaff. He begins to twirl it as a feral growl raises from his chest. the staff begins glowing a soft green. (Casting Shillelagh)
The growl stops at just the same moment as Healer lunges forward with unreasonable speed, attempting a downward strike.
Healer’s growl alerts the bobcat to the danger of the war forged barreling towards him. The cat deftly jumps aside at the last moment and Healer smashes the hard packed dirt ground where the cat previously stood. The cat siezes the opportunity to damage Healer and swings it’s clawed paw at his side.
Gobbler's initiative: 22
