Your party presses on until the sun sets and the stars begin to glisten high in the night sky. You look up with a sense of wonder as you can make out a constellation that looks like a large tree with long ancient roots dangling from it. This sight coupled with your recent accomplishment rouses a sense of companionship amongst you... at least a feeling that companionship is beginning to develop between you despite your outwardly and obvious differences. Perhaps this adventure will not only bring you glory, knowledge, and power... but, friendship as well.
A few hours before midnight you begin to see farmland. Followed by out buildings for storing grain, silage, and farming tools. Soon enough you see a few scattered houses and eventually you walk straight up to an imposing wooden palisade that stops you dead in your tracks.
"Camping for the night is probably a good idea." Angie says looking at Gobber. "How is that meat from the beast we killed the other day? is it still good enough to make a dinner from?"
"In the meantime, let us put a little distance between ourselves and the Palisade." Angie points off into the plains. "we should probably start setting up camp."
You retreat to a small stand of trees about a quarter mile back from the palisade, all other trees having been cleared from closer proximity to increase visibility. Healer checks your meat and finds it has not yet gone rancid, but should be preserved soon before it does spoil. Healer is ubsure how long the large cat meat will last.
DMNote: Do you build a fire? And are you keeping watch? If so, what order.. feel free to change it up, or I’ll use the status quo.
Thokein you are not paying much attention to your watch as you are busy building your fire. Gobbler returns to take up his watch carry many branches. He is surprisingly quite on his return and as he enters the camp the branches cast some eerie looking shadows. Thokein who is now gazing into the fire sees them and yells “Twig Blight!”
Nothing eventful happens on Gobbler’s watch. But, Angie you hear sounds like breaking twigs and what you think may be clinking Metal through out your watch.
The stones scatter some crows roosting in a nearby tree and illuminate your campsite and the nearby area, but you do not see anything out of the ordinary in the vacinity of the light.

"Should we knock, or just camp til morning?"
"I don't think the people here take too kindly with strangers."
"I've never seen a town take kindly to strangers at this time of the night."

Hm... did anyone preserve the meat before we set out last night? I was too wounded to have done it.
"That may be a problem. Perhaps I can examine the meat to ensure it is safe"

"Agreed. I would say enough distance that they can see us, so they can see we are not a threat."

Builds a fire. "I can take first watch if no one objects."
Gobber will help build a fire. He will lend his tinderbox and go look for some dry wood in the surrounding area.
"Here. This might help you. I'll go look for some firewood."
"Well I guess I'll take third watch" Angie says.

When Angie hears the sounds in the night she picks up nearby stones and casts light on them then throws the glowing stones at the sounds.
