Gobber awakens Angie, and she rises from the spot on the floor she had be lying on and stretches out her limbs. She looks round the cave. "Caves aren't really my specialty, be let me see if I can see what's going on in here." She starts to wander the cave in a methodical but somewhat casual manner, seeing if anything looks unusual.
On the far side of the cave passed the pile of dead spider parts you feel a breeze wafting down towards you. You look up and see only the cave ceiling, so you follow the breeze with your hand and discover it is coming from a crevice in the cavern wall. It looks like you can squeeze through it, so you do. Once through to the other side you find another room. This room is much smaller than the previous one, but it is significantly less dark and the air is much cleaner. The breeze is also stronger here and you find this is because there is a vertical shaft at the opposite end of the room. The shaft is leading upwards at a roughly forty-five degree angle and it looks scalable. This is probably your way out of the cave.
"Sounds like a job for the spider and me!" Gobber flexs his arms and rummages in his backpack. After a few moments, he takes out a shovel. "This should be enough to make the hole bigger if neccessary. We should also grab the rope that we left near the white spider."
@SonofHarley Do you mean the rope you guys used to traverse into the sinkhole? That’s still tied up top. But, the shaft is wide enough for you all to climb up it one at a time. But, Healer won’t fit through in his giant spider form. He’d have to climb up then shoot web down, or something similar. Picture this from the inside..
DM Note: Not without back tracking and figuring out how to get it down from the top if you want the whole length, or cutting it to get just some of it. I’ll let you guys decide what to do though, you’re welcome to go back, or try to go forward without retrieving the rope. You (or anyone else) can make an acrobatics check if you want to try to just scale it quickly, an athletics check if you want to try to “rock climb” it, and/or work together to rig something up. It’s a 45 degree angle, so it’s not a crazy DC to scale, or climb it.
Angie listens to the musings of her companions, then considers their words for a moment. "It seems that with Healer's new transformational abilities the ropes have potentially become obsolete and unnecessary. That said, if we want to get the rope we left behind there is a simple method of getting it. All we have to do is send Healer to get them. He can scale the wall in spider form and unhook the rope." Angie looks at her companions, "What say you?"
"While my specialty is in the deific-origins of magic and not entomology, I am pretty sure I read once that some spiders can alternate between spinning sticky and non-sticky silk at will. Perhaps our friend here is one of those kinds of spiders?" Angie raises her perfectly formed eyebrows and smiles at Healer.
"I believe it is possible. Unfortunately in order to spin a web here I would have to climb to the top and transform. Going back to get the rope would be near impossible. While I can transform easily, it is not a limitless power.
It is a bit of a strenuous workout for Thokein, but he slowly descends the incline using roots and rocks where he can to hoist himself up. About half way up the darkness begins to fade as light from the surface shines down into the shaft. The air quality becomes noticeably better as the breeze blowing from above becomes stronger. After what feels like an hour, but is in reality only ten minutes, Thokein’s hand reaches over the top and with a little more effort he pulls himself out of the shaft and onto flat safe ground. He lays on his back and catches his breath for a few moments while looking up at the late afternoon sky, thankful that he is no longer underground.

"Allow me to assist you m'lady. It's not much different from the forest." Gobber gets up and looks around with Angie.

Healer examines the shaft.
"I wonder if it would be possible for me to create a spider web to assist you all in scaling this wall?"
Turning to the group.
"Opinions?."

Angie nods at Healer. "That sounds like an excellent idea. If you could create such a structure for the rest of us I think we would be very grateful."

Out of Character (OOC): Yeah, can we still grab the rope that we used for climbing down?

"I agree we should get the other rope, but still don't see how we aren't going to just stick to anything Healer spins."
