(Sorry Mucor. Was putting together my response in my head over the weekend. Quote from Count of Monte Cristo. Great book if anyone hasn't read it.)
Aryn looks at Mucor with a pitied smile and takes his hand. "Mucor, if you think I'm leaving that easily you don't know me as well as I thought. If you only focus on the bad you'll never see the good. Everything bad in your life brought us to this place. It brought us together. What your parents and Quentin did and even what Button did lead us to this point. If it weren't for the mistakes they made, we might never have met... might never have discovered how we felt about one another. Do you only see pain when you see me? You have a new family now Mucor. One that only death can separate from you. We have to protect one another. Regardless of what happens with your parents today, know that you are loved." she says and breathes slowly. Her chest is heaving with emotion and she closes her eyes to keep the tears from falling down her cheeks before looking back at Mucor, "When you love someone or something there will be times that you have to let go. Times that may be hard and painful. But time and patience will reveal that those things that we love will return to us. All we have to do is wait and hope. My father used to say, "There is neither happiness nor misery in the world; there is only the comparison of one state with another, nothing more. He who has felt the deepest grief is best able to experience supreme happiness. We must have felt what it is to die that we may appreciate the enjoyments of living." he was right you know... and you of all people should be able to appreciate the greatest joy of us all. I love you Mucor. I couldn't stand to lose you even though you keep trying your damnedest to leave me." she says with a smile.
(@ Jinara- No, you exited the roof first while Valeera was waiting on the others to mount up. Essentially initiative order was followed so Iris, Cedany and Gaelin were the last one's aboard. You were already through the hole when Valeera started her climb on the following turn. The smoke and debri from the dome would've obscured anyone's view to see where she went.)
Mucor would nod along to as Aryn spoke.. focused on every word. When she was done he would wipe his eyes and slide out his chair without a word. He would then move around to Aryn's side of the table and give her a large hug. If anyone else was in the building getting a bite to eat or watching the two talk... Mucor didn't notice. He would hold her tightly... as tears fell from his eyes. "When I look at you I see soo much. I see I see a bright future.. I see... see something I have been missing all my life." The druid shares as he tries not to mess up Aryn's nice new clothes with his tears and snot. "I... I apologize. I am just being insecure. I need to stop worrying about the past and look forward to the future." Mucor would say as he gives Aryn a smile. "You are correct. If things had been different in the past. I may never have met you... and that isn't a life I want to think about." He would say with a snort as he takes a napkin from the table and wipes his face and nose with it.
Aryn doesn't shy away from his embrace and kisses his cheek. "You're not being insecure. You should have reservations and fears. I just want to make sure that you don't allow yourself to drown in the pool of bad things when you have the ability to swim. You should utilize your past to your benefit. You're the strongest person I know. No one else could've survived everything that you've been through. Use it. Learn from it, and most importantly... move beyond it. I can't promise I'll always be here, but I can promise that as long as I am able I will come to your aid. Now let's go meet your parents."
Ok. That changes my plans. I am going to move and Dash straight towards Iris and yell out via Tongues in the ghostly language "Leave her alone!" trying his best to draw their attention away momentarily.
Kelgos will cast Darkness directly behind Iris as to block the line of sight of her. He extends his hand down Valeera's side as Iris approaches rapidly.
Jinara flies down towards Iris hovering 30 feet above her as a cloud of magical darkness appears behind Iris and envelopes the undead creatures. From your short conversation with the ghosts you can tell these creatures are not the same. They must be the remnants of the cursed adventurers and archaeologists that came to the ruins for fortune or knowledge. You hear the howls and snarls strengthen as you think you hear the creatures colliding and fighting in the darkness. Two creatures emerge clumsily from the darkness and make their way towards Iris. One lashes out with its boney hands but narrowly misses. Iris shrieks and sprints to Valeera's side and dodges the rotted fist that tries to snatch her as she runs. Iris reaches out and grabs onto Kelgos' hand and he assists in pulling her onto Valeera.
(OOC: I feel a little bad that Aryn and I are hanging out eating a nice meal while everyone else is fighting hordes of undead. So did any of you guys end up getting made super old?)
Gaelin will look to see Iris is secured then cast Fireball (4th level) at the front edge of the darkness. "Let's get out of here." he says telepathically to the group.
Gaelin & Jinara- Valeera lifts into the air as Gaelin flings a red bead of energy into the air towards the darkness. It disappears into the magical blackness and a moment later erupts into flame. You've seen fireballs explode before but it's eerie to watch how the flames explode from the darkness before disappearing again. You hear withered howls and snarls from teh creatures within as their flesh is seared meaning at least two or more survived the blast. The two outside are caught wholly unaware and their charred corpses are pushed 10 feet from the blast and lie smoldering on the ground. Valeera moves towards Jinara and picks him up midair before you climb and head towards the keep. A small column of smoke rises into the air behind you as you make your way. You look at the ground and see the streets empty compared to before. You land in the same courtyard where you originally teleported and walk towards the overgrown entrance to the keep spotting the three ghosts waiting.
Jinara make another persuasion check.
Aryn & Mucor- You finish your meal taking a final draft from your drinks and set out into the cold. Your new clothes along with the warm from a partially obscured sun aid in keeping your bodies warm. You mount up and set off towards the estate. One of you make a survival check.
Gaelin & Jinara- The ghosts look at Jinara, the group and to the smoke cloud. "Mindless beasts. It is good to purge the unclean from this place. Come... if you are able to remove the rubble from the entrance, the remainder of the interior should be safe for you mortals." the female ghost says and the three of them hover towards the vine covered entrance. You approach and can see the archway is completely blocked by partially melted and fallen stone. Valeera looks over the rubble and begins giving orders to the group.
Need two people to roll strength checks to aid in moving the stones.
(Just realized I had comprehend languages prepared as well. Dang it.)
If they aren't able to clear it he'll say to Jinara, "Call them back and ask them how far it is to a cleared section? Tell them to be very specific." If the ghosts comply he'll ask Valeera to transform back to a human and cast Dimension Door teleporting them to the safe location based on the ghosts specifications.
Jinara says to the ghost "How much clearing is needed? until we can clear the entrance? We have magics that may allow us to pass without having to excavate the ruin."

(ok. So my marker on the map is on the outside of the building?)
(@Jinara- Yes, We'll say you're 20 feet above the roof which will make you 90 feet above the ground.)

"Sounds good." mucor would reply with a smile and a nod.

Cedany will assist Kelgos in lifting Iris onto Valeera and use 15 pts of Lay on Hands to heal her a bit. She will hold tight on for the takeoff.
