Aka, you spend the next couple hours training your new friend to accept the saddle and to fly around with you on its back. The saddle, built for your diminutive frame, fits snugly around the vulture's breast. Your ranger's bond gives you a great deal of control over the beast. After a few hours of practice - and a couple of close calls - you feel like you could stay in the saddle easily enough, if you don't get distracted.
Adira and Bala, Yelena nods and takes the coin, dropping them into a pocket in the front of her apron. "Pleasure doing business with you, if you need anything else don't be a stranger." After finishing up your shopping for the morning, you and Krolbrik make your way back to the tavern.
All of you, back at the inn, gather your things and get ready to be underway. Madam Martikov calls her children back to the kitchens to help their father get ready. She walks over to your table, "Thank you all for your patronage," she reaches out her hand to accept your keys, "If you're in Vallaki again, you're welcome under our roof." Handing your keys back, you all step out into the streets, the sun filtering through the thick clouds overhead give the impression of midday.
Heading out, down the eastern road and out the gates of Vallaki, a new pair of guards open the way for you and shut the wrought iron gates behind you, beginning your journey in earnest.

(11, 15)
About thirty minutes out from Vallaki, the road passes back into the misty forest that fills the valley of Barovia. The mist grows thick as you travel, surrounding you with its oppressive air. As you continue along the road, you make out the shape of a bulky human man standing in the middle of the road.
"Woah there, travelers," he orders in a booming voice, "Where are you heading? These roads are dangerous to travel - don't you know?"
Stepping towards your party, you can see the man, dressed in drab purples, yellows and reds - like a Vistani but duller, less bright. He flashes you all a smile and you catch a glimpse of gold in that mouth of his.
"Why don't you lay down your weapons, now? Yeah? Let's make this real quick and easy."
Bala and Ericina, you're acutely aware of a few sets of eyes on you from the mist-laden shrubbery, its hard to make out a number but you get the feeling that you're at least matched one-to-one.
Aka pets his Murder Bird and draws his bow as he mounts him and whispers a command. If these guys seem as if they want to fight, fly up. He notches an arrow and smirks. Not that easy, bud. You’ll have to convince me first. What do you say guys?
(Murder Bird has Readied to fly high at the sign of trouble. Using all his movement.)
Intimidation:9
Aka looks around, not having it, making sure these guys aren’t just pranking them.
Bala takes a few steps towards the man, stopping, and rubbing his chin in mock thought. "How's about... " Bala pulls out his hand crossbow and points it at the man's head. "You give me that shiny tooth and the clothes off your back, and I'll put one arrow in your butt."
Aka and Bala, this guy seems dead serious. Bala, as soon as you point your crossbow at the man's head, a crossbow bolt zips by your head, narrowly missing you. The man, shaken by your bravery - or foolhardiness - is snapped out of his shock by the support of his team. Men and women - all dressed in similar muted colors - rise from the bushes their crossbows drawn and trained on you all. Glancing around, you're outnumbered two to one.
Krolbrik, at seeing the bandits threaten his comrades and emerge from the forest and fog, draws his new greatsword with ease; though it was made for human hands, he looked quite comfortable wielding the weapon, and eyed the bandits warily.
When one of them fired a shot at Bala's head, however, they were greeted with the resounding roar of the hobgoblin's fury, kept in check by his principles as a paladin but nevertheless fierce.
"Your actions are foolish," the hobgoblin boomed in anger, his burly frame carrying his voice in a loud, low growl, allowing his jutting lower teeth to show in a snarl. "I will give you all the chance to lay down your weapons and be on your way, never to return to your banditry on pain of justice - it is your choice if you want to part with your lives... or your heads."
As if to emphasize his point, Krolbrik took up his stance with his greatblade - his warning was not idle.
Krolbrik, your roar resonates against the trees. Visibly shaking the party of bandits. Their leader's face pales as he realizes you mean business, but he steels himself. 5 of the bandits aren't so stalwart - as they turn to flee into the woods. The others are left quaking in their boots, crossbows held shakily in their arms.
She will clap a hand on the Tabaxi's shoulder and cast Heroism on him. (My spellcasting modifier is +3, so that's how much temp hp you get at the start of your turns.)
For a bonus action, she will call to Ericina: "Show them what it's like to mess with the bear!" Giving her inspiration. (You can add that d6 to any attack roll or saving throw you make.)
She won't move preferring to fight at a distance.
