Landrae dips into her coins and passes Elber the 20gp to cover her part in the transportation.
"I have a few errands I'd like to run before we depart. I hope that they do not take long, but shall I say that I can meet you by the gates to travel in 2 hours time? Perhaps, Jack, you could see if that guard knows of any happenings out towards Conwe that we should be aware of?"
Landrae's errands (for JJ, and any people that are curious):
@JJ -
Firstly, Landrae would like to see Lady Ardidd (or leave a message with the butler she met previously) and pass her new of the band's intended travel plans. If the Lady has any interests in Conwe or neighboring areas that the group can assist with, then Ardidd should only need send word to them and Landrae will do her best to see the matters attended to.
Secondly, a visit to the Silver Thorn to apologize to the owner that her travel plans have changed so suddenly, but to assure them that she will perform the first night she is back in town, regardlessof whether there is accommodation available.
(Landrae, I assume you also want to pick up the dress from L'Engle.)
Regrettably, Lady Ardidd is not at home when you inquire for her, but the butler promises that he will inform her of your latest endeavor. The innkeeper assures you that the previous night more than paid for the lodgings of you and your companions, and that all debts are settled. L'Engle presents you with a simple dress which is clearly of high quality workmanship.
Elber, Kai, Duncan, and Jack, you can acquire whatever mundane equipment you require from the various shops in Thithladroth. (Anything on the equipment page of the PHB is available, excluding items such as healing potions, alchemists fire, and the vials of acid.)
Jack will grab a bag of ball bearings, 10 flasks of oil and a regular hooded lantern “Anyone want to carry this second lantern along wiith some oil. We could always hang it from the wagon if no one wants it.”
While going around and doing shopping, Jack will try and see if he can find the guard he slipped a coin to. If so, he will approach him and see what he knows about Conwe and anything of note on the route there. Preferably, I would travel with Landrae while she is running her errands ((plus she can help w any CHA checks))
"Let's just mount the lantern on the wagon for the time being and carry it when we need to travel on foot again. I'll drive us out of town a ways, and then we can see if anyone else wants to drive once we hit the open road."
Landrae drops her pack into the wagon behind her, but uses her bedroll as a bit of padding on the driver's bench.
((At this point I'm happy to move onwards to however JJ wants to do the travel element))
(All the equipment is available for purchase at the PHB prices.)
Jack finds the guard performing his morning rounds. The man has little to offer in the way of information, but he has heard rumors that Lord Nethercrown is distantly related to Lady Ardidd.
The journey to castle Conwe is uneventful. The first day is warm and bright, and when you make camp for the night you have covered several dozen miles. The next day the weather takes an unexpected turn, and the threat of an impending storm looms over you. With subdued spirits you resume your travel.
Castle Conwe comes into view on noon of the second day. The crumbling stone structure rises from a craggy hill like rotten teeth in the maw of a monster. As you approach a light rain begins to fall, which quickly turns into a drenching torrent. By the time you reach the wooden gate of the keep you are soaked to the bone.
"Ahoy the gate! Anyone there want to help some overly damp folk find a roof to shelter under?" As she shouts out, Landrae stands up in the cart letting her drenched curves show through her wet and clingy clothes.
((@Kasian - Without going into an RP scnene, on the journey, Landrae would have enquired about Kai's pilgrimage. Could you enlighten us as to anything Kai might be able to share?))
Reveling in the clean feeling of the rain, Kia takes his turn on the wagon, slowly whittling away at a block of wood with his knife. As the castle comes into view, he holds up a carved wooden wolf. With a satisfied smile, he places the wolf in in pouch and hops off the wagon. "Not exactly a homey sort of place," he remarks.
"Malcite, my former master, has a daughter, Isabeau by name, who was last known to reside in the castle or the town around. Their relationship was ... strained, perhaps is the best word. He had his calling and was not there when her mother was taken ill and passed. Surely, had he been there, he could have cured her mother. It was an event she never forgave him for, nor for his calling, which left her in the care of her mother's family. Now that he is passed, I have here a letter, and a few small belongings for her. The young girl could not forgive him in life, perhaps the grown woman can forgive him in death."
Duncan will reply to Kai, saying "Family are often both the closest, and furthest, people in our lives... Now let us get out of this rain." standing up and walking towards the gate to knock on it with the butt of his glaive if no one, quickly, answers Landrae
Jack silently stands up in the back of the wagon, soaked to his core. He leaves his bow in the wagon along with his pack and jumps down beside the wagon waiting for a response. He is ready to be warm and dry.
"She have the right to honor her family and reject the late guilt of an absent parent, but it be for her alone to decide." Elbers words may be judgemental, but the tone is lighter. He is merely stating what he believes he would do.

Duncan will hand 20 gold to Elber.

Jack hands Elber 30 gp for the horses and cart. “I have a bullseye lantern, so we could use one more lantern plus some extra flasks of oil.”
((How many days travel is it to Conwe?))
((It's a day or two travel, and if everyone pays a share it'll be 20 gp for each.))
